Overview:

My Dublin City Centre based client is currently recruiting for an IT Auditor for an excellent Financial Services client. The candidate is accountable for achieving the following objectives:

The primary activity will be to deliver reliable and independent IT audits on the governance, risk management and control process on activities and processes across the company.

To work in partnership with senior business executives and managers, within delegated areas, to support and influence continuous improvement in the Group’s governance, risk management and control processes and practices through the sharing of best practices, thereby enhancing the reputation of Internal audit

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
The candidate will lead as well as participate in IT audits to achieve the above objectives. Overall staff controlled could be up to 2-3 auditors.

The candidate will be expected to assist in planning and to deliver an audit service on the basis of high value for money. Budgets will be largely related to the deployment of auditors’ time in the right areas (areas of highest risk) doing work in the right way.

The candidate will need to have a significant understanding on matters such as data protection, AML and payment regulations and what impact these have on IT systems and processes.

The candidate will have a proven ability to deal with senior managers and build effective relationships without compromising independence.

The candidate will support the Head of Audit IT & Change and Senior Manager IT audit in championing the strengthening of governance, risk management and control processes. This effort and contribution will lead to reductions in the incidences of control failures and the costs of controls.

To be successful candidate will need to take accountability for the following:

• Provide high impact reports and presentations which would be delivered by the Head of audit and Senior Manager IT audit on pertinent governance, risk management and control issues.
• Provide leadership as part of the IT audit team across internal audit, supporting the changes they will need to make in terms of mindsets, behaviours and practices.
• The job holder will need to be respected for their professional credibility and experience and for role modelling the Company’s values both within the department and indeed externally.
• Delivery of audit engagements as specified by the Senior Manager IT audit.

Required Experience:
The successful Job Holder will need to have a fundamental understanding of governance, risk management and control issues related to IT. They will need to have gained 5 years of experience as an IT Auditor executing this type of risk based work. They will also have had considerable exposure to emerging best practices in the world of corporate governance and are clear on the standards and practices that are now
Driving leading organisations globally.

Qualifications:
For this role there is a requirement for professionally audit qualified and accredited candidates (ideally CISA, or CRISC,). In depth experience as an IT practitioner or IS Security practitioner would also aid in the execution of this role but not an absolute requirement.

The role is Senior Network Administrator in supporting 1000 users within the public sector. The IT Unit currently provides support on a shared services basis to a few different government departments.

Responsibilities

Design and maintenance of test plans, test scripts and test processes.
Application testing including, life administrator, schedule manager, rule manager, user manager and documentation manager.
QA Testing Cycles: Integration, System, Regression and UAT Testing
Bug Detection, Tracking and Resolution
Communication with development teams in the resolution of issues


Required Skills
Excellent knowledge of Software Test Methodologies
3-5 years Testing experience
Basic knowledge of Database and SQL
Experience in the following would be a distinct advantage:

Background / Purpose of Role:

The Performance Manager is responsible for ensuring the organisation is operating towards a common vision, owning the Performance Management Framework processes, and managing the Dashboard and reporting of performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning
• Manage the development of dashboards, providing best practice and example benchmarks on goal setting and KPI measures (i.e. ensuring KPIs are explicit, measurable and aligned with organisation and business priorities etc.)
• Review KPIs and reporting mechanisms to ensure they are still current in light of any changes to business strategy
• Model risk thresholds into Performance Management tool

Monitoring
• Manage the Dashboard from data collection to reporting of results
• Ensure the Dashboard provides a consolidated and business aligned view of performance, quality and cost across the organisation
• Provide input to appropriate senior decision making forums through value-add data and analysis

Improving
• Analyse significant performance deviations and escalate issues appropriately
• Manage the KPI change approval process ensuring KPI changes are agreed by the appropriate stakeholders

Key Interactions
• Work with COO and Leadership team to define Functional goals
• Ensure that key performance related messages are communicated effectively across the organisation
• Attend monthly Performance meetings to highlight areas for attention and coordinate required follow up action

Leadership & People Management
• Lead by example on the delivery and development of strong people management practices in line with Group standards, including completion of goals and reviews for direct reports and support of learning and development for individuals and the overall unit

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gain familiarity within the key areas of core systems and their relationships to the other system areas.

• Perform system testing in conjunction with other members of the team
• Complete test documentation and implementation documentation as appropriate
