Responsibilities of the Technical Systems Analyst:

• Understanding and Mapping the data needs for new reporting applications
• Familiarise themselves with the data models driving these new applications
• Translate requirements into business and functional specifications
• Provide input to project and resource planning, budgeting, and implementation and test strategy.
• The Technical Systems Analyst will work collaboratively as part of the Project Team
• Work with Systems Architects to determine potential solutions and test them for both technical and business compatibility.

Essential Skills for the role of Technical Systems Analyst:

• 4+ years experience as a Systems Analyst or Technical Systems Analyst
• Expert in detailed analysis techniques with the ability to translate into comprehensive documentation.
• Experience of working on reporting, business intelligence and data warehouse projects with multiple data sources
• Experience in information management, relational database design and development for collecting and storing data, data mining, and/or statistics
• Understanding of data models and with writing Data definition Language to define the database structure or schema.
• Experience of writing Data Manipulation Language/SQL for managing data within Oracle and SQL Server schemata
• Ability to produce test strategies and test plans, and experience with test execution and troubleshooting systems software
• Excellent team player
• The Technical Systems Analyst must have a strong and current technical background
• Be educated to technical degree level, or equivalent technical experience

 Experience working with recognised application/service delivery processes and methodology

IT Security Consultant

Background / Purpose of Role:
The IT Security Consultant is responsible designing and / or reviewing solutions and services being introduced to the company, assessing them for any potential control gaps

Key responsibilities:

1. Design security controls for proposed solutions to meet relevant IT Security standards and guidelines

2. Carry out objective assessment of the security aspects of a proposed solution to
a. identify all relevant IT Security components
b. identify all relevant IT Security standards and guidelines
c. identify all designed controls
d. identify all required controls
e. identify and document where the design introduces risk to the company or compounds an existing risk
f. ensure that the documented solution provides appropriate controls which are aligned to the business’s control requirements for the data assets being protected
g. document and agree gaps and recommendations

3. Assist the IT project teams in securing a managed infrastructure and application penetration testing service to include
a. scoping a penetration test in conjunction with the relevant Project Team
b. selecting an appropriate vendor to perform a penetration test
c. interpreting any identified risks for the project team/business

4. Carry out objective examination and provide a report on the appropriateness of the technical & logical controls implemented and executed by 3rd Party suppliers where that 3rd Party carry out services for the company.

5. Carry out objective examination and assess the appropriateness of mitigating operational controls to be implemented where an element or complete existing technical standard cannot be met due to operational or technical constraint.

6. Schedule and manage External Vulnerability tests, and interpret any identified risks for the project team/business

7. Carry out objective assessment of firewall change requests to ensure that each change or series of changes to firewalls:
a. Conforms to IT Security policies & Standards
b. Identifies where the change introduces a risk to the company or compounds an existing risk
c. is aligned to the business’s control requirements for the data asset being accessed or transferred as defined by the data confidentiality /integrity / availability classifications.

8. Carry out objective assessment for examining and reporting on the appropriateness of the security controls implemented and executed by a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) where the CSP carry out one or more of the following activities :
a. host virtual infrastructure that processes, stores or transmits data (Amazon Web Services)
b. host a platform that runs software or services processing, storing or transmitting company data (like Microsoft Azure)
c. host software that processes, stores or transmits company data (like Cisco WebEx)
d. processes, stores, transmits or displays data that can be linked back to the company

9. Carry out the weekly activities required to manage Restricted Software.

Management Support
• Support Management with the embedding of IT Security culture and behaviours
• Positive and proactive participation within the team and active collaboration with colleagues across the Group as appropriate

Key Requirements of this role:

Skills & Experience

• Mandatory minimum of CISSP, CISMP or recognised equivalent.
• Good technical knowledge across a variety of platforms
• Good technical knowledge of network protocols and related technologies
• Experience across a number of relevant IT disciplines
• Strong knowledge of IT Security best practice
• 3rd Level qualification in IT or equivalent experience is preferred
• Some knowledge of information security and risk control frameworks such as COBiT, ISO 27001, ISO 27002,
• PCI DSS is preferred but not essential

Initially, this person is required build MI from a specific database. They will use T-SQL to create objects such as tables, indices, views, stored procedures and user defined functions. The tables will need to interface with Tableau. We also have development work to be completed on our internal document management system to enable documents from new sources to be uploaded. Part of the development work will involve remediating the system so that documents are held and stored in a more efficient way.



Skills:

- 3-5 years SQL Development experience in SQL Server

Key Requirements of this role:

Post Summary

The Company has implemented and is implementing a substantial change programme to deliver ICT services for its 6000+ user population. A number of major systems implementation projects have been completed, including Student Management System, Web Presence and Portal Services, On-line Learning Management and a technology enabled course delivery infrastructure. The provision of ICT services is underpinned by a technical architecture, consisting of a number of hosted services, an education network, multimedia services, internal services, and single sign-on transparent access for users.

The Service Delivery Manager is required to ensure effective delivery of the ICT production environment and high quality services and support for its users. The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for managing the technical aspects of ICT projects and user support. The manager will lead a support team and plays a key role in implementing and operating technology and software. The position requires a broad range of technical skills in managing a diverse operational environment with a focus on customer service and supplier liaison. A keen interest in applying technology in education experience is required. Experience of a varied technical infrastructure and demanding service environment is required.

Reporting Relationship
The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for ICT support in the company and will report to the ICT Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The post will be responsible for ICT technical support, projects to maintain existing systems and to introduce new and improved technology and services. Given the pace of change of ICT in all industries, duties and responsibilities include but are not be limited to:

• Embedding and driving compliance with policy and standard operating procedures
• Delivery of ICT routines in the company including the execution of daily, weekly and monthly procedures e.g. Backup, Recovery Testing and audits

* Efficient defect logging, assessment, prioritisation and management.
* Ability to identify defects.
* Preparation and execution of test cases.
* Accurate work within deadlines.
* Mentoring other QA Engineers on technologies / philosophies
Position Requirements
* A proven and demonstrable track record in testing, with experience reviewing test requirements and scripts, executing test scripts, defect tracking/closing, and test planning using guidelines and structured methodologies.
* Experience in testing web applications and web services
* Experienced in full project life cycle incorporating requirements gathering, design, development, system testing and user acceptance testing
* Automation experience using tools and practices for acceptance testing or regression testing
* Experience using formal development methodologies (Agile experience preferred) and Test Driven Development (TDD) environments
* 4-5 years solid testing experience
Desirable
* Experience of working in the financial services industry.
* Test Qualification (ISTQB).
