The successful applicant will work with the Project Team, multiple third parties including our IT Partners and business stakeholders to identify and document roadmap / project scope which will establish a Terms of Reference for all project deliverables
Applicants should be comfortable with and have proven experience in managing projects in the Life and Pensions sector


Responsibilities
• Build relationships, gain consensus, remove tension/roadblocks and focus on the solution
• Identify and document the project scope and deliver a Terms of Reference by which project tasks and deliverables are to be planned and implemented
• Following Critical Chain Methodology , develop a clear End to End Program Plan based on the agreed TOR with key deliverable and milestone dates -Manage expectations of all interested parties
• Align cross-functional stakeholders on objectives and goals for the program, gather and prioritise requirements
• Oversee all project and deployment tasks to including training requirements for delivery and support teams
• Drive towards problem resolution despite ambiguity or uncertainty

Job Description:
This contract position will work on the development of an Excel-based application on a short term but high profile project within the Investments industry. Working alongside people from the Investments team and IT, the chosen candidate will develop Excel macros and VBA code for spreadsheets used in the management of multiple large fund portfolios.
The successful candidate must be able to deliver on time but not cut corners to do so - someone who can quickly convert technical and user requirements into working code whilst still maintaining high development standards.
They will be expected to contribute to the analysis and documentation of user requirements, assist in user acceptance testing and in the training of end users of the solution.
The successful candidate will have:
Expert level VBA programming knowledge
Extensive experience in using Excel, particularly 2010 or 2013.
A good knowledge of Financial Markets
A good knowledge of SQL
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Ability to work on own initiative
In addition any or all of the following would be an advantage:
Experience with or knowledge of Bloomberg and/or other market data tools
Experience of SQL Server

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• An ability to build and maintain relationships effectively with all levels of personnel, cross departmental and on occasion with external clients.
• An ability to interrogate business processes, analyse specifications and process models to create detailed and complex test conditions and scenarios
• A certification in ISTQB Foundation Course in Software Testing would be desirable, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

This position is for a core team member to supplement the firm’s growing cyber security monitoring function. The candidate will join a team currently responsible for:

• Providing first level response for security events including but not limited to intrusion detection, malware infections, denial of service attacks, privileged account misuse and network breaches. The event management includes triage, correlation and enrichment of individual events to either rule out as false positive, trigger standard detective and corrective responses, or escalating as a security incident.
• Improving the service level for security operations and monitoring. Creating and maintaining system documentation for security event processing. Expands the usage of security monitoring tools to improve the security of the environment based on business use cases or changes in threat landscape, root causes from security incident response, or output from security analytics
• Configuring and monitoring Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform for security alerts. Integrate and work with the firm’s Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) services
• Providing reporting and metrics around security monitoring by designing dashboards for asset owners and management consumption. Leveraging existing technologies within the organization to expand the scope of coverage of the security monitoring service.

Knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of investigation cycle with a working knowledge of forensic investigation processes/methodologies (e.g. ACPO guidelines);
• 3 – 5 Years in IT Security operations with at least 2 years in Incident Response
• Competent in utilising logging and monitoring solutions such as Snort, Fireeye, RSA Security Analytics, RSA Netwitness or EnCase Enterprise
• Deep understanding of cyber-threats. Specialist in multiple security domains. Working knowledge of SIEM technologies.
• Familiar with IDS, IPS and/or other signature matching methodology;

Qualifications;

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred. Industry certifications such as CISSP or GCIH a plus.
• 8-10 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Minimum three years of security monitoring experience and incident response activities; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment
• Understanding of network, desktop and server technologies, including experience with network intrusion methods, network containment, segregation techniques and technologies such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS)
• Experience with SIEM technologies, log management tools, security analytics platforms, and forensic offerings
• Experience with malware analysis, virus exploitation and mitigation techniques
• Strong knowledge of incident response and crisis management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with fraud monitoring, data leakage prevention, and privileged access monitoring a plus

Summary
The purpose of this role is to manage IT related changes to systems in a controlled and effective fashion. The role involves implementing the testing phase of the change control process. Tasks will include preparing test plans, executing test cases, reporting results, co-ordinating UAT and managing the delivery of changes through to the production environment. The role will include managing multiple changes within test through to UAT and production as well as managing changes that are tested by other offshore testers.
The role also involves managing the systems test environments in conjunction with IT Operations.
Duties and responsibilities for QA Test Lead
Participate in all Project related meeting and get better Understanding about application and core requirement from business Team.
Planning resources for forthcoming test releases/projects
Creation and updating of test plans for a wide variety of investments systems and execution of tests on these systems
Record all test case results, anomalies and statuses and communicate same to development, business analysts, project managers and business sponsors
Co-ordinate test efforts carried out by business users across different functions, locations and involving third parties as required
Support and manage other testers and off shore testers
Support business user testing by providing appropriate test data and test conditions, supporting user test planning and ensuring change management processes are adhered to.
Manage and co-ordinate the set up of multiple applications and test environments and the refresh of data on said systems
Liaise with IT Operations and Developers to manage the release of code to the test system environments and Production systems environments in accordance with procedure
Liaise with business users to ensure all changes achieve the required level of User Acceptance testing prior to release
Ensure that the Change Management system is kept up to date with the current status of Changes that are being tested
Competencies for QA Test Lead
· Attention to quality and detail
· A history of working to tight project schedules and delivering successfully
· Motivated, enthusiastic individual with ability to work on own initiative
· Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to grasp and work with financial and newly developed in-house applications as well as overall understanding of system development lifecycles
· Comfortable working alongside both business users and IT technical staff.
Experience and Qualifications for QA Test Lead
A third level qualification in a systems or business related discipline is desirable
Develop and debug automated test scripts in QTP and HP QC ALM a plus
Experience with Broad Financial applications testing knowledge
Strong skills in data warehouse, data analysis and ETL, all a plus
Excellent knowledge of SQL / creating moderately complex SQL queries
Knowledge of mobile, web browser testing an advantage
Knowledge of understanding and working in XML and flat files.
At least 5-7 years of testing

Responsibilities:
Systems Management:
 Ensure that the daily, weekly , monthly and yearly cycles are completed in timely and effective manner
 Ensure that the monthly interfaces with SAP are completed within the agreed schedules
 Ensure that the integrity of the system and the underlying data is maintained at all times

Service Management:
 Ensure that appropriate service standards are agreed with Users and documented
 Ensure agreed appropriate MI is produced to relevant user groups re Clarity usage
 Investigate situations where service improvements are required and identify and progress remedial action required

Service Improvement:
Identify service improvement initiatives in consultation with key User groups and progress and implement agreed initiatives.

Change Requests:
 Maintain Change Requests Order Book, and manage engagement with all parties regarding the same
 Generate and communicate management information on agreed metrics regarding all change requests to key User groups
 Co-ordinate the execution of the order book, ensuring that Development team have appropriately prioritised change requests in accordance with customer expectations – to be agreed
 Ensure all System and User testing is appropriately documented and signed off

System Roadmap
Work as part of a team in the development and rollout of a system roadmap to ensure my client is comparable with other companies utilising the Clarity on demand model and that it proactively meets the future needs of our user base.

Key Requirements of this role:

Experience
 Technical background- In-depth understanding of Clarity and its underlying structures, the inter-relationship between its different modules and the interfaces with other applications.
 Experience in Project Management

VBA Developer Job Description:
This position will be responsible for assisting in the improvement of operating workflows by developing PC based programs that can facilitate: expense processing, NAV Preparation, reconciliations, pricing validations / comparisons, etc. In this capacity, the department members will be required to work very closely with designated individuals within the operating areas for the purpose of developing and documenting Business Requirements. In addition, department members will be responsible for effecting implementation within the requesting operating area including the training of staff who will be utilizing the developed product.

A primary responsibility will be to ensure that program development is:

• Completed in a fashion that can be leveraged / readily modified as business needs within this activity tend to be dynamic, and
• Documented in a manner that is understandable both from a technical and user perspective in order to facilitate learning / training.

VBA Developer Skill Set:

Quality Assurance - Immediate Start

I need someone to start on this contract immediately!!
The expected candidate will be expected to put together test plans / Built functional and non-functional tests / Built used cases

Responsibilities:
• Produce structured test plans based on functional and data driven requirements
• Develop comprehensive test cases to cover both UI and database level testing for both SIT and Regression testing
• Creating, executing and recording the results of test cases
• Tracking of progress of test phase and reporting to Project Manager with regular updates.
• Raise & track defects, highlight potential risks
• Ensures quality standards are maintained at all times
• Develops process improvement initiatives

Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years QA and software testing experience
• Exposure to test in a financial services environment
• Experience in interrogating SQL server databases through the use of advanced SQL queries
• Experience in testing on data migration/ data driven projects
• Testing of systems developed in .NET, C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server is essential
• Experience with bug and issue management tools

Education:
