My Dublin City Centre based client is currently recruiting for an IT Auditor for an excellent Financial Services client. The candidate is accountable for achieving the following objectives:

The primary activity will be to deliver reliable and independent IT audits on the governance, risk management and control process on activities and processes across the company.

To work in partnership with senior business executives and managers, within delegated areas, to support and influence continuous improvement in the Group’s governance, risk management and control processes and practices through the sharing of best practices, thereby enhancing the reputation of Internal audit

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
The candidate will lead as well as participate in IT audits to achieve the above objectives. Overall staff controlled could be up to 2-3 auditors.

The candidate will be expected to assist in planning and to deliver an audit service on the basis of high value for money. Budgets will be largely related to the deployment of auditors’ time in the right areas (areas of highest risk) doing work in the right way.

The candidate will need to have a significant understanding on matters such as data protection, AML and payment regulations and what impact these have on IT systems and processes.

The candidate will have a proven ability to deal with senior managers and build effective relationships without compromising independence.

The candidate will support the Head of Audit IT & Change and Senior Manager IT audit in championing the strengthening of governance, risk management and control processes. This effort and contribution will lead to reductions in the incidences of control failures and the costs of controls.

To be successful candidate will need to take accountability for the following:

• Provide high impact reports and presentations which would be delivered by the Head of audit and Senior Manager IT audit on pertinent governance, risk management and control issues.
• Provide leadership as part of the IT audit team across internal audit, supporting the changes they will need to make in terms of mindsets, behaviours and practices.
• The job holder will need to be respected for their professional credibility and experience and for role modelling the Company’s values both within the department and indeed externally.
• Delivery of audit engagements as specified by the Senior Manager IT audit.

Required Experience:
The successful Job Holder will need to have a fundamental understanding of governance, risk management and control issues related to IT. They will need to have gained 5 years of experience as an IT Auditor executing this type of risk based work. They will also have had considerable exposure to emerging best practices in the world of corporate governance and are clear on the standards and practices that are now
Driving leading organisations globally.

Qualifications:
For this role there is a requirement for professionally audit qualified and accredited candidates (ideally CISA, or CRISC,). In depth experience as an IT practitioner or IS Security practitioner would also aid in the execution of this role but not an absolute requirement.

Description: My Dublin based client currently requires a Oracle DBA to join their team to be responsible for monitoring, management and administration of the Dev, SIT, UAT and Production databases.

Background On Role
The role will focus on the database aspect of an advanced data movement and delivery system supporting high volume financial transactions on a daily basis across the full range of Investor Services – including Custody, Middle-Office, Fund Administration , Security Lending and Transfer Agency. The system will ultimately provide high quality financial investments and performance data to internal and external system users, over complete data quality and lineage system

Requirements:
• Administration, monitoring and support of highly available data warehouse environment
• Support end users of the reporting application system in respect of user access, privileges and data security

• Performance tuning of batch loads in a VLDB environment
• Identify performance bottlenecks, wicked queries and apply performance fixes
• Perform configuration management and code promotion
• Refresh DEV/TST/UAT environments from production
• Interface and coordinate with data centre team, shared services DBA team and other groups
• 6+ years DBA experience in Oracle. Experienced in Oracle 11g. Exposure to other databases such as Netezza, DB2 or SQL Server an advantage.
• Experienced working in a highly available clustered environment. Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RMAN an advantage.
• Require advanced knowledge of operating system (AIX/Linux). Expert at Unix scripting
• Experienced of architecting and supporting high volume Data Warehouse environment.
• Experienced working in controlled and regulated environments in financial services desirable
• Experience of configuration and setup of Oracle Grid control or like enterprise management system desirable
• Experience with Ab Initio and JasperSoft from database point of view an advantage
• Data analysis and profiling skills an advantage
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in English

The function of the Telecommunications Analyst is to contribute to the management of the services provided by external companies and analyse and develop positions as to the suitability of all aspects of potential Telecommunications solutions for our business. The areas included are:

• Telecommunications (data and voice) in a 24 x 7, real time environment
• Manage Telecommunications Projects and interact with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met

Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent evaluation and appraisal function established within the Group, reporting to the Board through the Audit Committee. GIA conducts a continuous and comprehensive review of activities throughout the Group in accordance with the Audit Plan approved each year by the Audit Committee. Acting as the Third Line of Defence, the primary objectives of GIA are to assist the Directors in the fulfilment of their governance responsibilities, provide an objective and independent assessment of the Group’s governance, risk management and control processes and report to the Group Audit and the Executive Risk Committees on findings, key issues and actions.
