Job Description
My client’s business is information intensive with IT demands from both within the company and from external clients. The successful applicant will contribute to the overall success of IS by providing a single point of contact and delivery responsibility, within IS, as the service provider to the customers of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. The department has recently completed a system migration from Dynamics AX2009 to Dynamics AX2012 R2. This role will involve providing additional support to the main support team to ensure that ongoing service levels are met in supporting this new application during the initial phase of implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing 1st & 2nd line support to end users.
• Call logging, prioritisation and tracking numerous issues of varying severity and effectively managing the resolution of all calls.
• Liaising with and managing support from external 3rd party vendor including participation in review meetings, SLA tracking and reporting.
• Reporting on application support calls.
• Analysing and modifying the AX accounting structure where required to help to improve performance
• Reviewing current AX security model and assist in implementing modifications
• Meeting with users throughout the Group to determine requirements and discuss issues.
• Assisting in requirements gathering and the delivery of Change Requests.
• Assist in the preparation of specification documents, business requirements, impact assessments and project plans.
• Assisting in testing application changes and patches.
• Working alongside key users to help improve business processes.
• Assisting end users in ZAP report building.
• Training Users and Application Support colleagues.

The appointed candidate must demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
• 3+ years experience in MS Dynamics AX, with at least 12 months experience with AX2012, ideally in a customer facing role
• Experience with Dynamics AX Security System setup and administration.
• Strong Dynamics AX Technical background with experience in Finance/Project modules.
• Strong systems knowledge & awareness.
• Excellent decision making and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to challenge current processes and develop and implement effective alternate solutions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Calm under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable
• Some experience with AX 2012 HR module would be beneficial.

Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects. My client is an outsourcing client so I need someone with strong cost & budget management skills.

Responsible for maintaining a strategic approach over multiple projects, aligning and co-ordinating them within a programme of change in support of the benefits specified in the contract between my client and their clients.

The Programme Manager manages the client and supports the Project Manager’s to initiate, manage, and deliver projects to ensure that my client business and external customer solutions are delivered on time, to budget and meet the stated requirement specification / quality standard.



RESPONSIBILITIES


Delivery

• Takes responsibility for the Project Managers to ensure realistic baseline plans / budgets are constructed and monitors those throughout the life of each project. Supports and meets Project Managers on a regular basis to review status reports. Produces weekly internal Programme Reports ensuring that the status of each project is clearly communicated, that Risk and Issues are highlighted and managed. Maintains an overall programme plan and view of the resource requirements.
• Has direct responsibility for the delivery of the Programme of work. Defines measures and delivers programme benefits throughout the lifecycle, ensures delivery of the programme to time, cost and quality metrics agreed at initiation.


Financial Management

• Manages project finances to maintain or improve the baseline financial position during the life of the project. Works with commercial management to define and manage the contractual arrangements with the customer / third party to maximise the benefits. Maintains or improves project margins. Retains maximum project contingency.


Managing risk and Issues

• Understands the success criteria of all the project sponsors. Identifies, assesses, manages and resolves the risks and issues that could jeopardise programme success.


Managing changes

• Monitors project progress against agreed plans. Manages changes to the project scope, finances and time scales effectively. Identifies opportunities to increase revenue and margin.






Essential Experience/Skills


• A proven and demonstrable track record in the capacity as a Programme Manager leading and successfully delivering large scale/complex programmes of work.

• Programme management certification (exceptions may be made where relevant experience compensates and in-depth experience demonstrated)

• The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Strong management of project finances and project reporting.

• Experienced with risk management.

• Experienced managing shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

The successful Business Analyst may work independently, reporting to a project manager, on small/medium sized projects with appropriate supervision from the Lead BA.

Alternatively, they may work with a team of BAs on Medium/Large, more complex projects, with a project reporting line to a Senior BA.


Project Work


Planning
• Assist project manager in identifying business analysis tasks at the planning stage of a project or Deliver a plan for the BA tasks on the project, monitor, track & report progress.
• Advise the Project Manager of any exception planning necessary
• Ensure that all deliverables comply with Department Standards. (Development processes, reviews, sign off).

Analysis
• Understand & challenge the Business requirements, implications and restraints of each allocated project.
• Gather, analyse data, distil and document to produce business requirement specifications, with appropriate sign off.
• Undertake impact analysis and Cost/Benefit analysis as required.


Implementation
• Ensure smooth implementation into business areas and provide post implementation support
• Prepare / present training material where required

Issues
• Monitor & assess issues raised during the project and take appropriate action to ensure resolution.
• Track and log issues as they arise, ensure changes to scope are agreed with the Project Manager.


Relationship Management
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues both internally and externally.
• Communicate regularly with Business Users, IT, Project Managers throughout all stages of the project life cycle to ensure that the project is meeting the business need.
• Ensure that buy in and sign off is received from key stakeholders.
• Adapt to a suitable style when dealing with external clients and show degree of comfort when operating in such an environment.




Ideally someone coming from a strong Financial services or ideally a Life & Pensions background.

As a SharePoint consultant/developer you will help to enhance the functionality of our Intranet site. You will participate in the full project lifecycle starting from the analysis, design, development, testing and documentation of SharePoint workflows.
Main duties:
• Primary responsibility for development and deployment of business solutions based on Microsoft Office SharePoint 2013.
• Developing Workflows based on the SharePoint 2013 platform.
• Delivering and presenting solutions to prospective stakeholders.
• Site Template Creation/Management, security and permissions configuration, SharePoint search configuration.
