The Business Analyst may work independently or as part of a team of BAs on small/medium/large projects, reporting directly to the Lead Business Analyst or Project Manager.

The Business Analyst also does the following:

• Deliver business and systems solutions to meet company goals and objectives
• Contribute to the Business Solution Design for small, medium, large & complex projects
• Provide well defined impact assessments


RESPONSIBILITIES

Encompasses all analysis tasks required to enable completion of the initiation and delivery phases of a project as detailed below:

• Contribute to the planning of the BA Deliverables and input into the overall project / programme plan
• Participate in and co-facilitate workshops from initial problem statements, requirements and data gathering through to implementation planning
• Produce clear and concise High Level Business Requirements (Catalogue of Requirements)
• Gather, analyse data, distil and document to produce clear and concise Detailed Requirements Specifications (DRS)
• Meet with the business experts to understand the current processes and the ongoing / future requirements
• Ensure buy in and sign-off is received from key stakeholders
• Produce As-Is and To Be Process models to assist the requirements phase
• Assist the project through understanding the issue/opportunity for change requests.
• Support development and testing by answering requirements queries
• Work closely with IT to transition the project smoothly and without misinterpretation from requirements to Development ; to represent user perspectives in Design Forum discussions
• To work closely with test team to confirm test strategy, review test cases and confirm test conditions match requirements
• Responsible for the production of user instructions, training manuals and appropriate supporting documentation, deliver technical and process training.
• To give due consideration to all risks, issues and dependencies relating to the project and escalate to Lead BA/Project Manager as appropriate
• To keep the Lead BA/Project Manager regularly informed of progress



Essential Experience / Skills

• A proven and demonstrable track record in the capacity as a Business Analyst
• 3rd level qualification (exceptions may be made where relevant experience compensates and in-depth experience demonstrated)
• Analysis - To analyse a business issue using appropriate methodologies and techniques, getting to the root cause of the issue and define appropriate solutions. Demonstrate a robust analytical approach to more complex requirements.
• Facilitation - Strong facilitation skills to run requirements and process workshops
• Presentation - Presentation of complex information in an easy to understand fashion to senior stakeholders
• Documentation - Document requirements clearly and concisely to an appropriate level of detail for all stakeholders
• Problem Solving - Ability to understand and solve business issues, understand the impact on the business of proposed solutions and present problems and solutions clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally
• Influencing - To influence PM, sponsor and senior stakeholders on solution design based on strong logic.
• Stakeholder Management - Good stakeholder relationship skills and ability to understand our customers needs
• Process - Strong process mapping skills
• Technical - Assess the technical impact of requirements and work with developers where relevant to develop technical solutions
• Testing - Knowledge of testing processes and procedures in order to properly support the testing cycle
• Judgement - Good problem-solving, decision making and judgement skills

The role is to review, test and validate the data in SAP that underpin our client’s management reporting processes. The ability to track the flow of data between SAP modules and interfaces to other tools (primarily Hyperion) is critical.
Applicants should have at least 4-6 years SAP FI/CO module experience. Cross functional SAP knowledge in supply chain and materials management would be a distinct advantage.
The role demands that the individual be capable of;
•Validating data sourced from SAP;
•Recalculating and validating the results of accounting transactions performed in SAP;
•Tracking and validating data interfaces from SAP (and other applications if necessary) into Hyperion to ensure accurate management reporting.
Key Requirements:
•Strong background in implementing / auditing large SAP instances with a bias towards data preparation, data loads, testing and validation;
•Must have FI/CO, Master Data experience;
•Strong analytical skills and experience of interrogating financial data;
•Understanding of financial accounting;
•Background in pharma/biologics/fine chemicals/FMCG industry is desirable but not essential.
•Availability to travel overseas is essential

Knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of investigation cycle with a working knowledge of forensic investigation processes/methodologies (e.g. ACPO guidelines);
• 3 – 5 Years in IT Security operations with at least 2 years in Incident Response
• Competent in utilising logging and monitoring solutions such as Snort, Fireeye, RSA Security Analytics, RSA Netwitness or EnCase Enterprise
• Deep understanding of cyber-threats. Specialist in multiple security domains. Working knowledge of SIEM technologies.
• Familiar with IDS, IPS and/or other signature matching methodology;

Qualifications;

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred. Industry certifications such as CISSP or GCIH a plus.
• 8-10 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Minimum three years of security monitoring experience and incident response activities; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment
• Understanding of network, desktop and server technologies, including experience with network intrusion methods, network containment, segregation techniques and technologies such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS)
• Experience with SIEM technologies, log management tools, security analytics platforms, and forensic offerings

I. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Business Analyst will work as a key liaison with business to gather, analyze, and document business requirements of numerous business systems in the Temenos product suite. The Business Analyst will work closely with Project Management to adhere to project timelines. The candidate should have a technical background with experience in the financial industry, including understanding of the treasury, payments, finance, compliance and risk areas. Prior experience as a business analyst in Temenos is required. The Business Analyst is also responsible for QA testing, Training, and Level II Support.

II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS:

This position reports to a Project Manager and will liaise with business as well as development and QA teams.

III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work with the Business staff to produce comprehensive Requirements and detailed specifications for existing and new financial functionality, interfaces, and reports. Analyze enhancement requests, defects and other issues, translating them into professional Specifications
Document outstanding issues into summary format for periodic communication to the User Group for prioritization and subsequently to Steering Committee and Project Sponsors for approval of priorities.
Maintain the database of enhancement requests, issues and bugs, recording status, monitoring progress and acquiring user specifications
Document non functional requirements
Manage all requirements artifacts; URDs, Use-Cases, Change, Application specifications
Liaise with the business as well as with development.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications (e.g. use cases, system requirement specifications, etc.)
Design and develop reports based on Business Requirements
Carry out requirements management using industry-standard tools and techniques.
Perform project planning and management activities and drive on-time delivery of team project deliverables.
Ensure the overall quality of business requirements traceability to all URDS and Use Cases, Design Documents and Test Cases.
Advise testing resources on test-case creation and assist in ensuring requirements traceability
Participate in the change management process overseeing the definition, approval, and implementation of scope changes.
Perform issue management including facilitation of issue resolution and implementation.
Interface with business client management to solicit requirements and drive issue resolution.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication with other team members including managers, peers and direct reports.
Demonstrate effective teamwork and working relationships with others.

IV. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or similar discipline, or the equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 10 years experience as a Business Analyst for a medium or large financial organization
Experience with treasury, payments, compliance, risk and finance business processes would be a definite plus.
Willingness to travel frequently
Knowledge and experience with the Temenos product suite (T24, Treasury Trader, Insight) is HIGHLY desirable
Demonstrated knowledge and skill managing change
Ability to work in a fast paced, complex IT environment
Proactive person willing to accept responsibility and provide leadership
Experience capturing and documenting business/system requirements and processes.

Business Analyst

Reporting directly to the project manager, the business analyst will:

• Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive business requirements for multi-work stream project
• Document high-level requirements
• Develop and document corresponding detailed requirements as necessary
• Provide support to junior business analysts
• Design and document new processes
• Work closely with Business and IT
• Work closely with business to develop User Acceptance Test plans and support execution of these as required

Skills and experience required

• 5 years + Business Analysis experience within the Financial Services sector is essential
