Description: Junior - Mid Level Technical Writer

I am looking for Technical Writer with circa 2 - 4 years software technical writing experience.

Salary coming in at circa 35-40k D.O.E.

Responsibilties

-To write and edit documentation including API Guides, User Manuals, Installation Guides, etc. for complex SOFTWARE applications in the financial industry

To update documentation for each major software release and to amend the documentation to reflect new features during the development cycle

To regularly update the documentation based on customer requests

To collect and gather technical and functional information from various sources to be used in the documentation based on the features list

To translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand text or operating procedures

To work closely with R&D and QA and other Technical Writers

Applicants must have the following:

Ideally 2-4 years experience in Technical Writing, with at least 1 year writing for software


Experience of the following tools: Adobe Framemaker, Acrobat and Distiller, MS Office and Visio, Source control such as CVS or Clearcase

Description: New Role for an E learning Design Specialist with a leading Life Assurance Company based in Dublin City Centre.
The Role:
Reporting to the E-Learning Manager the successful candidate will:
• Work with Learning & Development Team and business stakeholders to assess potential business e-Learning requirements.
• Identify business learning needs via strong learning needs analysis with stakeholders and subject matter expert(s).
• Scope e-Learning development projects and deliver on time.
• Work with key stakeholders from design to launch.
• Develop storyboards to present draft outline.
• Work with subject matter experts to design and develop best e-Learning solution.
• Strong implementation and support of e-Learning course roll out (including pilots).
• Define and manage reporting approach for weekly/monthly reporting on e-Learning usage in line with key performance indicators.

The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and expertise:
• Expert knowledge of rapid e-Learning tools, specifically Captivate, Articulate Suite, Camtasia and Sony Vegas.
• It is essential to have expert knowledge of Flash interaction creation software (specifically Adobe Creative Suite) for e-Learning.
• Expert in MS PowerPoint
• Experience providing consultancy service to business areas while building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Experience of leading IT related projects utilising cross functional teams and customers.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills and with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, with a high customer service focus.

• Proven experience in Learning & Development and in-course design is desirable.
• A relevant 3rd level qualification is desirable.

Description: IT Web Support role available currently in the City Centre.
My Client are looking for someone to work closely with the Web Editor to develop the Company's web-based communications with its members, trainees and the public.
The IT Web Support will have an IT background and will be responsible for all technical aspects of the current and future web-based systems. S/he will be completely familiar with all aspects of ‘back-end’ web technology, including web coding. S/he will deal with all web server issues, security and firewall configuration, fault resolution, providing regular IT support to the Web Editor and s/he will be responsible, together with the Web Editor, for the technical assessment and delivery of all new communications tools and processes associated with the Internet and Intranet.

Key technical skills:
IT qualification,

Previous experience in web development and a full understanding of HTML, HTTP/S, .NET 2 and XML.
S/he will be able to support Photoshop, Adobe and other packages used by the Web Editor. Experience of Citrix, CISCO CME, WAAS and NAC would be a distinct advantage.
