Business Analyst Regulatory

Regulatory Specialist

The Business Regulatory Analyst will work as part of our Product Management Team and will be responsible for analysing regulatory content and assessing the impacts of changes to existing regulations and implications of new regulations.
The BA will then build on that analysis to define and implement appropriate solutions for my clients Product.
This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret regulatory documentation and translate into defined business requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
• Research and analysis into regulatory topics to support the formulation and specification of my clients product requirements
• Produce briefing documents and impact assessments that can be understood by business and technical colleagues
• Work with internal and external business partners/clients define and refine business requirements
• Support the management of scope, scheduling and delivery of regulatory roadmap and releases
• Analysis and refinement of regulatory rules content
• Create detailed functional specification documentation for my clients product in line with company and industry best practices
• Provide on-going support to the product engineering team in the delivery of product functionality
• Support the creation and delivery of the 'Regulatory Update' deliverables to existing clients

Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience within the banking and/or compliance areas
• Demonstrable experience of dealing with banking regulation
• Experience of Capital Markets business regulation an advantage
• The successful candidate must be confident at interacting at a senior client facing level.
• Ability to take ownership for delivering quality, accurate analysis in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Business and data requirements gathering
• Process mapping
• Data analysis & reporting expertise
• Testing expertise
• Experience working with investment related data is mandatory
• Produce reports & data analysis for key business units.
• Acting as 1st point of contact for any queries & change requests from within the business, primarily from IMC.
• Analysis of data quality & assist in quality improvement on an on-going basis.
• Experience of working with Paladyne and Geneva is required
• Must be highly detail oriented, extremely organized and able to multi-task effectively
• Experience with contractors and coordinating project with multiple parties involved
• Financial services (preferably fund administration) background is required.
• Excellent Microsoft Office and all applicable program skills; i.e. MS Project, Outlook, Excel & Word, PowerPoint, Visio a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to tactfully respond to scheduling requests and provide alternative suggestions to satisfy all parties
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak articulately with personnel at all levels with an ability to liaise between business, technical professionals and external data providers
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
• Gathering information and translating into details.
• Testing experience - including test planning, execution and detect resolution
• Ability to prioritise and to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with completing Project Documentation
• Good negotiation skills and Vendor management experience


The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years’ experience on Geneva and Paladyne and should have worked in a Data Management type role in the past.

Strong Analytical skills are required as well as the ability to work under pressure

• Excellent planning, forecasting and budgeting
• Very well respected across functions, by peers and senior management
The successful candidate will have a strong and consistent track record in some or all of the following;
• Expert working knowledge of Change programme management
• Strong analytical ability to interpret relevant data with a facts based approach to decision making
• Broad knowledge of the Banking / Financial Services industry

The primary purpose of the IT Operator role is to work in the Operations Centre which provides IT Services to the business areas covering Batch Scheduling, Monitoring, Alerting, Reporting, Backup & Recovery. This position involves working shift hours.

Requirements of the Role:
• Manage the batch schedule through to completion
• Ensure that all requests are processed in a timely manner without affecting online service
• Manage the resolution and escalation of alerts from the monitoring tools.
• Provide first level support if an issue arises during shift.
• Provide prompt and efficient problem analysis and solving across all platforms.


Technical Experience Required:
• Knowledge of Windows, Office and Exchange.
• An understanding of Monitoring, Capacity and Performance Management.
• An understanding of Backup & Recovery processes and technology.
• Knowledge of ITIL Service, Change and Problem management processes.
• Third level IT qualification
• Excellent PC & MS Skills in utilising Word & Excel
