Role/Responsibilities:
• You will become expert in the Data Models of a set of back office and web applications
• You will be in close contact with your internal customers to define and build top notch reports
• You will work closely with Project Managers to define project requirements and resources across a matrix organisation where required to deliver your reports
• You will work with DBAs, BI Architects and other stakeholders to implement a next generation Data Warehouse and Reporting environment
• You will debug failures and identify design flaws in existing legacy reports and suggest solutions and/or options to improve
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

Requirements:
• 2/3+ years’ overall BI experience working with Microsoft SSRS or Oracle BI
• 2+ years' experience designing and developing reports in a complex system of information based on MS SQL Server, including SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
• Experience with complex SQL scripts, database administration, and/or database modelling
• Excellent analytical skills
• 3rd level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
• Good English verbal and written communication skills

Advantageous:
• Experience with MySQL databases
• Experience reporting in CRM systems and/or E-Commerce systems
• Good understanding of the Linux and/or Windows operating system
• The successful candidate should be self-motivated, self-directing and able to lead and motivate other stakeholders on a project
• The ideal candidate would be innovative and have great problem solving skills
• Scripting experience (e.g. Perl, Shell, Ruby)

This is a technical role for which the candidate would have a background in MI / BI reporting solutions development.
The developer will build technical solutions by engaging with the other Developer team members and/or Analysts in preparing technical specifications and making changes to the database and the reporting layer objects.
A large portion of this role will be spent on developing code, stored procedures and building reporting objects.

Key Responsibilities
Actively involved in the solutioning aspects of fixed and ad-hoc MI deliverables within the MI model
Prepare technical specifications to provide a solution in line with business requirements
Design, code and build one-off scripts and/or stored procedures within the data layer and reporting objects / procedures in the reporting layer in line with technical specifications
Assist in physical and logical database design.
System test all development objects in line with functional specifications
Manage and prepare release specifications for deployment of solutions to production environment, working closely with IBM and IBSU in relation to the go-live process
Write code to facilitate ad-hoc data extraction requests from the business

Skills / Competencies
Strong understanding of customer service delivery with the ability to meet user MI requirements under a structured MI model
Ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines when required, including prioritising activities and multi-tasking
Proven ability at problem solving with an analytical approach

Technical skills required
High level of expertise in SQL Server toolset including MS SQL coding, MS Visual Studio tools, Reporting Services and Integration Services tools.
Experience of implementing solutions with other Business Intelligence tools (Bus Objects, Cognos) would be an advantage
High competency in database design and development, and data structure methodologies.
Expertise in delivering MI reporting solutions on production environments
Expertise in Microsoft tools Excel, MS Access etc.
Experience of VB, C++ or .Net development would be an advantage
Experience of financial services/banking would be an advantage

Scope of responsibility:

The Business Analyst plays an integral role in using technology to streamline and improve business processes by:

• Applying conceptual knowledge and technology to solve complex business processes and procedural problems.
• Manage and/or perform the design, testing and application of SAP systems in line with agreed timeframes, business requirements and global standards.
• Support the business to maximise utilisation of the implemented SAP solutions.
• Assignment to key projects per the Global IT project programme.
• Acting as a regional or global expert for the most complex processes within function.

The position will require a degree of travel between Warsaw and Dublin.

Qualifications & Education:

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business/Finance or Engineering and appropriate SAP qualifications required.


Business & Technical Experience:

• An in-depth understanding and experience in at least one of the following SAP business processes areas is required:
o Bank Accounting and Treasury (CFM)
