Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer within an Agile Development environment, you will write software and unit tests, and document your work to deliver robust, usable solutions on time. Depending on experience, you may be asked to help design components, review code by other team members, and integrate products with partners and customers.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:
Solid commercial experience with two or more modern, object-oriented languages like C#, C++, Java, JSP, .PHP, NET, Python
Experience with relational, NoSQL, or object-oriented databases
Working understanding of REST, RPC, and other TCP/IP-based interprocess communication mechanisms
Experience with commercial or open source code repositories and build environments
Experience working in an agile environment Good verbal and written communication skills
Review code from engineering team
Worked on a large complex project
Contribute to estimates and project plans
Ability to work independently with preset milestones and objectives.

In addition, a strong candidate may have one or more of the following:
Proven development experience on Windows and Linux platforms
Practice configuring and managing virtualized OS environments
Experience in technical development role with current hands on experience working with enterprise products and/or custom solutions
B.S. degree or equivalent in computer science

Purpose of the Role:
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Actuarial, Finance, Corporate Customer Services, Employee Benefits and Change Management of the company in order to put in place a database that will act as a repository for Asset Data.

Responsibilities:

1) Development, support and maintenance of in-house developed software applications:
Develops software code to meet design requirements;
Provide support and error resolution for in-house developed applications;
Investigates complex situations, providing diagnosis of the underlying causes of difficulties; and design solutions;
Write Design, Technical and User documentation for all the developed software;
Daily check and (if necessary) troubleshoot all the processes and services of the business. These checks should also be carried out on-demand, whenever specifically required.

2) Database maintenance and performance optimizing:
Regularly check and improve database performance, for what concern data feed and access.

3) Software Architect and Business Analyst:
Provides system solutions (hardware and software) to meet the agreed requirements;
Interact with the financial, actuarial, variable annuities, IT and corporate customer services departments in order to identify key processes and procedure implementations;
Provided detailed documentation for designed processes, data models, and developed software;
Provides detailed technical and functional specifications;
Provides guidance and assistance to colleagues in any aspect of program design, creation, testing and documentation;
Periodically analyze objectives and processes, and suggest ways by which re-design or improvements could be made;
Ensures the provision of robust application and error fix promotion routines;
Creates effective documentation for all code promotions;
Ensure all promotions are fully reversible.

Experience:
Computer or related degree;
Visual Studio 2010/2012
3-5 Years+ experience C#;
WCF Services/WindowsServices
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)/SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services);
3 Years+ experience SQL Server;
SharePoint design experience;

Exposure to the following an advantage:
Agile Development Methodologies;
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services);

Requirements:
Work with application managers and clients to ensure documented requirements are analysed and implemented to specification.
Ensure high-quality code is developed, tested and implemented in a compliant fashion.

Ensure appropriate controls are followed with Solutions Development organization including following required SDLC steps and project management (PTS) steps, and any other required tasks from the organization.
