This is an exciting new role with a leading global financial software company setting up a new support team in Dublin to cover level 2 support to its worldwide client base and consultants.

The ideal candidate should have an interest in technologies, enterprise architecture, security, configuration and support.

You will need to have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

You will also collaborate closely with the Professional Service team to support the setup, configuration and deployment of enterprise systems on client sites.


Main duties:

•Ensure incidents are resolved effectively and in a timely manner to ensure business continuity
•Support consultants and clients throughout SIT/UAT cycles and post Go-Live remotely
•Liaise with vendors on support issues as required
•Escalation of issues when necessary
•Follow standards, best practices, and act with a sense of urgency to ensure that services are provided in accordance to strict Service Level Agreements

Skills and Competencies:

•Knowledge in some the following technologies: Oracle, WebSphere, IP, Firewalls, Networking, XML, Solaris, Windows, .NET, Messaging
•Knowledge of network devices and technologies
•Excellent problem solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
•BSc/BA in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
•An interest in financial electronic market, data provides
(Bloomberg, Reuters), and capital markets

Main duties:

Support consultants and clients throughout UAT cycles and post Go-Live remotely
Liaise with vendors on support issues as required
Contribute and participate in putting new processes and support/monitoring tools in place
Follow standards, best practices, and act with a sense of urgency to ensure that services are provided in accordance to strict Service Level Agreements
Skills and Competencies:
Successful candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within a multinational/multicultural environment
Experience in some of the following technologies: Oracle, WebSphere, IP, Firewalls, Networking, XML, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Solaris, Windows, .NET, Web Services, SOA, EMS, Grid Computing, SAN Replication, C#, C++.
Knowledge and experience in workings and architecture of real-time 24X7 financial enterprise systems
Knowledge and experience with scalable, clustered, transactional systems
Knowledge and experience with network devices and technologies
Excellent problem solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
BSc/BA in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
Knowledge of financial electronic market a plus
Knowledge of financial data provides ( Bloomberg, Reuters) a plus
Financial Services background/exposure to capital markets environment is highly desirable

Responsibilities
Analysis, Design and development of C# applications, taking projects through the entire software development cycle from requirements gathering to product release.
Strong engineering input in the interaction and design of co-operating systems.

Key Qualifications
Recent graduate with PhD in a technical discipline or equivalent.
Experience in developing software in C++, Java or C#.
