The Candidate will be expected to lead a team of client project technical leads, offering them technology direction, solution design direction and provide governance and support across the solution. The role will sit in our Professional Services Group and be part of a dedicated client project delivery team


Responsibilities

• Technical leadership of my clients platform implementations into complex customer systems deployed across multiple countries
• Work with their CTO to deliver a set of technical standards that all client projects and their technical teams will adhere to: (Workflow decisions, rules implementations data migration, integrations)
• Review and govern that these standards are being implemented across projects
• Research & Identify tools that can help mature the organisation and be replicated across projects in data migration, integration and release management.
• Translate complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
• Working with customer architects to understand customers infrastructure and systems
• Designing and presenting technical solutions detailing how my clients products can be integrated with customers infrastructure and systems
• Applies software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing software interfaces.
• Working with business analysts throughout the analysis phase to understand project requirements in order to create technical designs to meet these requirements
• Reviewing technical leads and developers deliverables to ensure they are in line with the original technical designs and are of a high quality
• Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.
• Acts as an advisor or mentor to the technical, project team leads other development team members.
• Exhibits good knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and good understanding of competitors products and services
• Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
• Impacts the architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services.



Experience

• 8 years ASP.NET, C# or Java, SQL development experience essential upto 4.5.
• Skilled using / implementing Design patterns.
• Performance profiling tools experience
• Financial services industry
• Skilled using any Inversion of Control ( IoC ) Container.
• Strong expertise with two or more of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, JSON, ASP.NET, and MVC Framework.
• Database design / programming with MS SQL Server (2008 2012) and Oracle
• Expertise with distributed architecture technologies such as Web services, preferable with WCF technology.
• Experience with MS Workflow Foundation (4.0) is a plus.
• Familiar with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 / 2012.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies.

The candidate must be able to work in a team and on their own and have excellent communication skills to work alongside the technical teams and management. The right candidate should have a solid .Net technical background and must have good hands on experience using these technologies.

The primary functions of the role are as follows:

• Incident Management and Resolution
• Problem Management.
• Application debugging.
• Implement small change requests, bug fixes and configuration changes.
• Application deployments to production.
• Disaster Recovery and Maintenance
• System Documentation

The candidate should have the following experience and skills:

• 4 to 6 years IT experience

• Experience of working in a Multi-Tiered Distributed Application environment.

o Windows Services, Console Applications, Web Services, ASP.Net
• Experience of the following would be beneficial but not essential
o Monitoring tools (HP OV).
o IBM MQ
o Oracle 11g
• JIRA, Incident Management tools such as Remedy
• Knowledge or experience of the following would be an advantage
o A Financial background.
o Experience working with vendors and offshore technical resources.
o ITIL training.
o Experience working in a global environment with technical and business teams in multiple geographical locations would be an advantage.

The C# Developer role encompasses both support and C# development work.

The Application Developer is responsible for fix on fail of incidents and problems, timely investigation / analysis and resolution of support calls, design and development of BAU enhancements.

The Application Developer role requires a very good understanding of SQL database programming, C# and .NET.



Experience / Skills


• Experience of developing in C#
• Proven track record with SQL database programming (e.g. Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Good knowledge & understanding of the systems lifecycle


Responsibilities


• Respond to new incidents as per SLA’s, ensuring calls are completed in a timely manner with minimum disruption to the operational areas.
• Ensure code created meets programming standards, technical specifications and quality standards, including performing peer code reviews and ensuring that all repeating processes are documented to enable quick call handling
• Support implementation and provide post implementation support
• Ensure that all IT security policies and procedures are followed.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships within Capita and clients as necessary
• Actively manage the call list queue and ensure continuous focus is made to meet SLA’s and provide regular communication to IT Application Support Manager in advance of SLAs being impacted and highlighting issues/Incidents that may impact work-lists
• Participate in the process of integrating and releasing new application/software functionality into the ‘business-as-usual’ environment, ensuring all service operational acceptance activities have been successfully developed and agreed prior to handover.
• Reduce occurrence of user generated error incident calls by escalating gaps in user training to the IT Application Support Manager and help facilitate user training

I am currently hiring a Development Manager for an expanding financial software company in Dublin. I am looking for a passionate person who wants to grow with the success of the company.

This position will be responsible for managing multiple teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

The candidate will come from a software engineering background and will have progressed to lead and manage multiple teams.

This will include defining the development methodologies to be followed; ensuring BA, developers and QA follow the methodology and regularly reviewing the team’s deliveries.

The candidate will be passionate about developing excellent software and ensuring the software is documented and tested to a high standard. The candidate will need to familiar with the latest automation techniques for both development and QA including continuous integration, automated unit, volume and regression testing.

The candidate will need to keep up to date with the latest development technologies and manage their usage appropriately.

Responsibilities

• The main elements of this role are to translate business objectives into a plan of technical projects which ultimately deliver product releases.
• Drive the delivery of product releases in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Ensure high impact and timely communication with key stakeholders across the business.
• End to end accountability for product delivery.
• Line management of project managers, Business Analysts and Technical Architects
• Create release plans and ensure deadlines are met
• Structure team members roles and responsibilities
• Recruiting new team members
• Performance appraisal
• Ensuring developers are creating functionality which is focused on configurability, testability, user experience and scalability
• Ownership of the application development methodology
• Regular review of team deliverables
• Introducing and refining tools and automated processes which increase development efficiencies
• Keep up to date with latest technologies and industry trends
• Reporting to the head of engineering

Experience:
• 7-10 years relevant development managerial experience required.
• Worked on a product which is commissioned for multiple clients
• Candidate must come from a developer background and be up to date with latest technologies
• Financial services industry advantageous
• Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
• PMP or Prince certification advantageous
