Description: Senior Software Developer

My client is looking to speak with talented Software Developers to join their expanding team in Limerick. We’re looking for talented Software Developers who are passionate for delivering great software products that meet our customer’s needs. The ideal Software Developer candidate will be familiar with being part of a highly technical software development team and familiar with web, cloud and mobile applications.

The Senior Software Developer will need to possess software development skills specifically related to implementation of security requirements and secure coding standards, e.g., NIST SP 800-53, ISO/IEC 27001, OWASP, SEI CERT, and MS Secure Coding Standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior Software Developer

*Lead product security risk assessments, hazard analysis, and provide vulnerability remediation guidance and mentoring to product development software engineers.
*Implement software security solutions and architect/design products in accordance with industry accepted standards for medical device security including: encryption, recovery, authentication, audit logging, hardening measures, patch management, vulnerability monitoring, and antivirus/antimalware.
*Develop and administer software engineering procedures and training for vulnerability scans and static code analysis
*Assist product development teams in creating Incident and Vulnerability Management Plans and Product Security White Papers
*Participate on product security incident response teams.
*Interface with other technical departments such as Penetration Testing Team, Systems and Hardware Engineering
*Interface with Quality and Technical Service
*Lead technical design reviews and code inspections. Provide clear, actionable feedback for project team members
QUALIFICATIONS

Senior software developer

*BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering field is required
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, systems & architecture concepts and designs
*Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in product development
*Minimum of 5 years’ work experience with C#/.NET development
*Minimum of 3 years’ work experience using secure coding practices
*Experience with TCP/IP, encryption, and socket development
Knowledge of Windows networking fundamentals (IP protocol, switches, routers)
*Demonstrated positive work ethic with a strong commitment to achieving project goals
*Candidate for or certification in InfoSec Security are a plus, e.g., CISSP, CSSLP
*Experience with static code analysis tools
*Work experience in network security strongly desired

Main Responsibilities for the .Net Technical Lead:
•Primary responsibilities include the development and design of a web application based on React, Redux and Asp.net Web API 2. Developing applications from detailed design specifications.
•In conjunction with the technical architects creating detail design specifications
•Working and leading other developers to ensure deadlines are met
•Develop automated unit tests and responsibility for testing own code before Systems Test and QA Test Phases begin
•Bug Fixing and carrying out root cause analysis
•Interacting with customers (on specific items) from time to time.



Working with the Test Manager in managing the System Test cycle
•Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives as required
•Develop/write technical documentation
•Set objectives and carry out performance reviews with direct reports

Required Experience & Skills for the .Net Technical Lead:
•Minimum 8 year’s development experience
•Experience in directing and mentoring other developers
•At least 3 years .NET 4.5 ideally mostly of C#, Web API, JSON, XML, and JavaScript
•Strong Experience of working in Front End Frameworks such as React or Angular
•Strong working knowledge of JavaScript

Knowledge of:

Design patterns
•DB Design & Optimisation, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting Services
•Or experience with web services, Remoting, MSMQ while not essential are highly desirable

Description: Senior C# Developer required for Permanent position with leading Financial Services Company based in Dublin City Centre

Responsibilities of the C# Developer:
• Complete development assignments such that programs support the approved project requirements and follow the agreed upon Technical Design
• Have an ability to participate in Development phases of small to large projects, often complex in nature and meet deadlines.
• Support Analysis of business requirements from a technical point of view and provide input into the technical direction of the project, that best support’s the business requirements and overall IT architecture and strategy
• Interpret & write Functional Specifications to deliver Technical Specifications in line with design standards, that accurately detail the technical solutions to be implemented and supported on the IT systems
• Deliver assignments to agreed Quality standards and to the Project standards and procedures employed in the department
• Participate in design and code reviews; comfortable in conducting QA reviews of development tasks and coded solutions
• Perform Production system support and Oncall duties.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the business to ensure supply and demand issues are completed in line with agreed standards.
• Support the business in the development of new initiatives.

Experience required for the C# Developer:

• Minimum 5 years development experience.
• Proven ability in C# & VB.Net development
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports, SQL scripting language e.g. queries, stored procedures and SQL Server Integration Services SSIS & SQL job agent are required.
• Also, experience with Subversion would be advantageous.
• Experience with CruiseControl.Net or similar would be of benefit.
• Knowledge of Financial Services Systems would be an advantage.
• Experience working in a regulated industry and governed environment
• IT qualification preferably to degree standard or similar



This is a permanent position includes on-call, 1 week in every 3.
