Responsibilties
-To write and edit documentation including API Guides, User Manuals, Installation Guides, etc. for complex SOFTWARE applications in the financial industry
To update documentation for each major software release and to amend the documentation to reflect new features during the development cycle
To regularly update the documentation based on customer requests
To collect and gather technical and functional information from various sources to be used in the documentation based on the features list
To translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand text or operating procedures
To work closely with R&D and QA and other Technical Writers
Applicants must have the following:
Ideally 2-4 years experience in Technical Writing, with at least 1 year writing for software
Experience of the following tools: Adobe Framemaker, Acrobat and Distiller, MS Office and Visio, Source control such as CVS or Clearcase

Responsibilities
The candidate will work within a software development team producing Java-based software using agile methods and be solely responsible for all build and release tasks for my clients software solutions.
They will report directly to the engineering manager and coordinate with developers (including distributed members), testers, tech management and other stake holders to create releases in a timely, efficiently and accurate manner.
The candidate will be familiar with multiple release methods, tools and SCM systems and use this knowledge to maintain and improve the tool set to follow industry best practice or as appropriate. They will have deep experience and expert skills in building Java code and, while not core to the role, experience in software development, particularly in Java, will be advantageous.
Candidate should have a very structured and rigorous approach to their work, should possess excellent written and verbal skills and be a strong team player.
Education Requirements Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline required, Masters preferred

They will play a key role in identifying areas where developments are needed within and across programmes and monitoring the impact of these developments.
1) The role will include the following principle duties:
•Engaging with stakeholders with a view to establishing their requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis etc.
•Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, de-composing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding. Distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs.
• Proactively communicating and collaborating with internal and external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
•Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
•Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
•Collaborate with project delivery team and subject matter experts to establish their vision and analyse required tradeoffs
•Devise candidate solutions using natural language. Systematically analysing and documenting the strengths, weakness and risks of each approach before presenting options to the business for a decision and implementation.
•Serve as the conduit between the customer and project delivery team.
•Work with the Steering Committee in the development of the Annual Corporate ICT Plan
•Any other duties that may be assigned by the Information Manager as appropriate to the position.
2) Eligibility/Personal requirements Education, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
• Strong knowledge of project management and core consulting skills
• Ability to park own assumptions, challenge the assumptions of others, listen and draw information out of stakeholders to identify issues and requirements that are backed up with data from several vantage points
• Strong influencing skills with the confidence to deal with staff effectively at all levels throughout the organisation
