Description: My Dublin based client is currently looking for an experienced IP Network & VOIP Support Specialist to join their expanding team in a permanent role.
This role will support the day-to-day routing, switching, firewall, and load-balancing operations with a particular focus on configuration/management of Our Client’s VOIP infrastructures based on Cisco CUCM, CUBE, UCCX and supporting technologies.
This role will also support the migration of IP devices and IT services within and between Our Client’s data centres and the replacement/upgrade of IP infrastructure elements.
The role will normally report to the IP Networks Team Leader, within IT Service Delivery but may occasionally report the Technical Lead of the data centre Migration Project, within IT Project Delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities.
1. Installation and management of Checkpoint IP690 & IP290’s
2. Review, updating & maintenance of Checkpoint firewall rule bases
3. Installation and configuration of Cisco Nexus 9K data centre switches
4. Installation and configuration of Cisco catalyst 65XX and 29XX switches
5. Installation and configuration of Cisco 45XX, 39XX & 29XX routers
6. Configuration of content management using SteelApp Traffic Virtual Appliances
7. Management of VOIP features on Cisco 3925 routers
8. Management of VOIP software products including CUCM
9. Installation and management of wireless controllers, AP’s & policies
10. Troubleshooting of performance issues
11. Assist in auditing and necessary reporting, as required.
12. Respond to and fix calls escalated within OLA / SLA.
13. Creation and maintenance of documentation.
14. Assisting in the migration of applications/services within/between data centres.
15. Support the planning and execution of infrastructure migrations
16. Support the planning and execution of physical IP equipment moves
17. Troubleshoot IP equipment migration issues


Skills Required.
Technical skills (Essential).
• Excellent Knowledge of Cisco routing & switching
• Experience of Cisco call manager & contact centre environments
• Excellent knowledge of CUCM & UCCX
• Excellent knowledge of SIP Trunking & H.323 Router configuration
• Excellent Knowledge of Checkpoint firewall administration
• Thorough understanding of wireless (Wi-Fi) technologies and standards
• Experience of high-availability and disaster recovery IT configurations
• In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure Hardware and Software Technologies
• Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure Hardware and Software best practices
• Solid experience of Windows/Linux/UNIX networking & routing
• Solid experience of troubleshooting in a Cisco/Checkpoint environment

Technical skills (Desirable).
• Knowledge of Orion monitoring
• Knowledge of SteelApp Traffic Virtual Appliance
• Knowledge of VMware NSX & ESXi
• Infrastructure Solutions Architecture.

Essential Soft skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be a proven team player.
• Knowledge of current IT technologies and service management processes.
• Have demonstrated ability to drive technical issues through to completion.
• Work to a high standard of quality and thoroughness.

My client is a leading corporate client (globally circa 20,000 users) and they are looking for a Infrastructure Manger for the Irish HQ in Dublin Southside. You will be tasked with managing an infrastructure team that covers: servers, storage and backups; IT Architecture and Desktop engineering.
Principal Objective of Position:
To assist the Group Head of I.T. in maintaining a reliable, flexible and cost efficient IT environment for the Group and be responsible for the day-to-day security of our IT infrastructure including the maintenance of a verified disaster recovery plan
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support & Administration
Responsible for the efficient and effective implementation, maintenance and operation of the IT infrastructure including head office, retail sites, remote office locations & remote workers.
Responsible for the operation and management of the IT Support Team including internal and external resources.
Ensure all IT issues that arise get handled, managed and resolved in a timely fashion - this includes trouble shooting, incident investigating, extracting logs and doing root cause analysis.
Ensure IT infrastructure is kept up to date with appropriate testing and application of latest patches and releases in a number of areas.
Manage a range of service providers and ensure they are delivering in accordance with agreed SLAs.
Projects - manage a range of projects to improve and enhance the overall ICT offering .
Manage budget and all costs in the infrastructure area.
Communications & Network
Responsible for the implementation and operation of suitable communications infrastructure for both data and voice traffic.
Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the Group WAN; LAN & VOIP networks.
Security
Responsibility for the day-to-day security of servers, client PCs, networks and applications.
Responsible for the security of electronically stored data within the Group.
Ensure user knowledge and awareness of IT security.
On-going development, administration and implementation of the back-up procedure including Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery.
Conduct and participate in internal / external IT / ICT audits
Health Safety and Environment
You will take ownership and demonstrate visible commitment to improving the HSE culture which is consistent with the principles of Zero Mind-set, No Repeats and Non Negotiable Standards
The successful candidate will have
Related Third level qualification (degree level or higher)
At least 3-5 years' experience working within a similar role.
Professional skills in infrastructure management including planning, analysis and implementation, systems management and operations, networking and communication.
Proven track record of dealing directly with users on a wide variety of IT-related issues
Project experience including proposal development, application testing, environment set up, co-ordination of vendor activities
Strong VMware, MS Windows, Windows 2003/2008 server experience (VMware certified / trained, minimum MCSA certified)
Strong IT/ICT security knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of backup and restore functions.
Strong general TCP / IP networking and troubleshooting skills, CCNA certified.
Ability to operate to a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
Staff and budget management experience.
