Overview:
Our client is looking Infrastructure Operations Manager with a proven record of managing a team in a 24X7 environment. This hands on role involves leading & mentoring a group of approximately eight production systems engineers consisting of Systems Administrator both Linux and Windows, IP & Security engineers and Production DBAs.
Job Description:
Responsible for the operational control of all Change Management, Incident Management, Service Level Management and Compliance Management processes and procedures across all Production systems.

Provision of monthly production systems reports & statistics, ensuring senior management have visibility of production system issues, incidents, performance and growth including appropriate capacity planning and trend analysis to facilitate fault prevention.

Ensure the creation and maintenance of daily procedures, knowledge bases such that key activities are well documented, such that there is minimal dependence on any single individual within the team.

Work as part of the Platform Operations management team, participating in overall technology reviews and technology strategy development.

Recruitment and management of production system personnel as necessary, including performance management, compensation reviews, mentoring and coaching.
Work with Production Control team members to provide core business support services including operational processes, procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Skill Set/Technical:
• Windows server 2003/2008, Linux, VMware, MS SQL 2008
• Cisco network switching, routing, firewalls and load balancers
• Monitoring & statistics gathering for production systems, network and applications, such as Nagios, Ops Manager, Cacti
• Management of a number of online Core Business Applications
• Strong knowledge of IT security
Management Duties:
• People Management

o Team objective setting, mentoring, training & review

o 07:00 – 21:00 on-site & 24x7 on call process & rota management

• Platform and application incident & change management

• Continual communication with the various parts of the business on their requirements and how they are being met

• Weekly operations meeting

• Regular 1:1 meeting with team members

• Platform monitoring, metrics gathering & production of evidence based KPI data

• Definition, agreement and achievement of SLAs and taking corrective action where necessary

• Production systems Asset Management
Education and experience:

• BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or Maths

• 7+ years in a medium or large 24x7 online or enterprise environment managing teams of highly technical operations staff, providing IT services to both external & internal customers

• Operations in software development, testing and deployment environment required

• Experience of PCI DSS security controls is highly desirable

• Experience of medium to large online environments highly desirable

• Experience in the Financial services or Telecommunications sector is desirable

• ITIL V3 Certification in Service management is a distinct advantage

Excellent client based in Dublin South (Dartline) is looking for a Cisco Network Engineer to be responsible for the daily Network administration of key network and security infrastructure in addition to acting as a key resource on network infrastructure projects as required. This role will involve managing network infrastructure such as firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, intrusion detection systems, network scanning and change control auditing.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
o On-going management of firewall and loadbalancer changes
o Implementation, documentation and troubleshooting of network configurations, ensuring security and redundancy. Solid experience of OSPF, BGP, Router redundancy protocols, VPN, ISDN, MPLS, Spanning-tree, VTP and network device security hardening will be particularly valued
o Management and tuning of Intrusion Detection Systems, knowledge of network vulnerability scanning & change audit tools and appropriate response to alerts/threats
o Detailed knowledge and experience of network monitoring and troubleshooting

Skill Set:
Previous experience
o A strong background in general administration of network and systems
o Display a competent and a broad working knowledge of networks and systems
o Application of detailed network knowledge and certifications in these areas
o Preferably strong working experience with Build and maintenance of Cisco firewall
o Change management and change implementation in High Availability Enterprise environments
o At least 3 years recent Cisco Network experience of dedicated network and information security
o Experience of the banking or financial services industries would be a distinct advantage

Candidates must have at least 4-5 years working in an admin role and the following skills:
• Ability to analyze, trouble shoot and resolve issues

APPLICANT - The successful applicant will have 3+ years experience providing Level 2 technical support for an enterprise product based on Linux/Unix.

QUALIFICATION: Third Level Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• In depth knowledge of Linux system administration, disk/RAID configuration, network configuration, and general trouble shooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• UNIX scripting languages including shell, python, awk, Perl
• Hands-on experience gained on communications platforms such as network switches, routers, telecoms servers etc.
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or familiarity with the configuration of Cisco devices.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and network protocols (GRE, MPLS, SNMP, QoS, multicast).
