Description: My Dublin based client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Cognos Powerhouse Analyst to join their existing team in a permanent capacity.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence reporting, OLAP server technology, data warehousing technology and experience with IBM Cognos 8 software. As a member of a highly skilled technology team, you will be responsible for designing and managing a reporting system, including building and maintaining the reporting environment within which report development is done by developers. You will work with the business to understand data requirements for client reporting and with database administrators of source systems to understand the logic for the databases, which the users need to build custom reports. You will maintain and administer a Cognos system, including user security and report deployment.


The following skills are deemed highly important by the client:

* 2+ years experience with Cognos 8 version reporting and modeling.
* 2+ years Cognos Powerhouse experience
* 2+ years experience in OLAP server technology designing data models, metadata, and cubes.
* 2+ years technical experience with data warehousing technologies.
* 2+ years database optimization and SQL tuning experience with Oracle databases
* Able to design, build, and test reports developed using Cognos 8.

Job Description:
The Oracle Reports Developer will join the Reporting Development Team and will be required to analyse technical and business requirements. You will utilise your knowledge of the Oracle e-Business Suite to develop appropriate reporting solutions according to user requirements.

Skill Set:
• 3-5 Years Oracle Reports Development Experience
• Experience using SQL to query and analyse data in an Oracle Database
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Will consider candidates with a mixture of Oracle and SSRS experience.
• Cognos BI or Cognos Reporting experience
