Responsibilities include:
[1] Solution Architect for my clients Technical Platform Roadmap (IVR, SMS, USSD, Database, Infrastructure, network)
[2] Owner of Technologies Roadmap ensuring technology alignment underpins all solution deployments
[3] Technical Assurance of all solution designs and deployments from a technical best practice point of view (Both Package and Bespoke solutions)
[4] Owner of Integration Architecture both for internal system integration and external 3rd party interfaces
[5] Management of 3rd party technical Softwares/Networks/Hardware providers. (i.e. ORACLE, HP, LINUX etc)
[6] Capacity Management planning for all live systems
[7] Security Management of all systems
[8] Ownership of Non-Functional test planning and execution
[9] Liaise with Product build and Operations teams to ensure facilitation of required technical services in both Development and live operational environments and systems

This role provides the opportunity to specify and implement complex functional, system & performance test scenarios that simulate real life multi-service IP networks.
The role will provide substantial experience of network protocols and testing client & server applications.
Description of Role:
Execute tests and analyse/report test results
Configure System Test scenarios that emulate customer environments
Generate Test Specifications from customer requirements
Compare test configurations and expected results to capture network packets
Compare test configurations entered via graphical client to stored database contents
Track bugs and follow through with Engineering and Support to resolution
Work as part of a team within the Test & Verification group
Interact with Engineering and Support teams to ensure that reputation for excellence is maintained
Requirements:
0-3 years experience of testing Client/Server based applications
Experience in testing Java/Web GUIs
Full QA Lifecycle knowledge
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Fluent English required
Knowledge of Telecoms and Networking a distinct advantage
Methodical and analytical approach to testing with attention to detail a must.
Familiarity with both Linux & Windows is an advantage
Educated to degree level in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

You will be responsible for a team of experienced Test Analysts as well as functional responsibilities aligned with improving test quality.
Work with the Testing team to assist with the preparation of test plans and the testing of software to company guidelines and standards
Experience
Advanced knowledge of industry standards and procedures in QA and Software Testing.
Highly developed test leadership skills with ability to lead large groups.
Experience in a consulting environment, with significant client contact.
Demonstrated capability of leading test strategy and approach, with in-depth understanding of test processes and methodologies.
Expert level of analytical problem solving skills to identify and diagnose problems beyond current boundaries.
Sophisticated communication skills to influence and gain cooperation with team members and customers.
Preferably ten years testing experience, with five years test leadership experience in large implementation/software development projects.
Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
Hands on experience in Rational Test Manager,UNIX, Linux, SQL (Oracle), Java preferred.
Responsibilities
Provides overall leadership to local and distributed test teams.
Acts as an expert advisor and resource and provides project leadership in all test aspects across projects, including opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of the testing effort
Provides input to Project Quality Plan; reviews and approves the System Test Plan to ensure it meets the defined standards
Own and maintain the Systems Testing strategy and processes and ensures the System Test teams follow the Best Practice defined procedures and processes
Provides consultation to clients on test approach, plans and methodology
Maintains positive relationship with client and manages expectations with respect to test deliverables and schedules.
Provides timely consultation to Test Team Leads on test estimations, testing strategy, test creation and execution
Ensures test entry/exit criteria are identified, agreed and fulfilled within project targets
Work with the Best Practice team to instigate and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Takes on supervisory responsibility and provides input on team performance.
Requires significant independent judgment to determine the most effective course of action at any given stage in the project.

This role supports the IT cost management and efficiency goals of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables include:
Work with IT and Business management to ensure the business plan & strategy is delivered.
Set and agree acceptable service levels for IT services.
Manage and measure delivery of systems to agreed service and quality levels.
Design and deliver technical projects from inception, through approval and implementation.
Implement ITIL (or equivalent) operational practices and methodologies throughout the Department.
Ensure technical compliance with all mandatory security standards.
Establish and resource a multi-functional and multi-skilled Service Desk within IT.
Develop and manage relationships with key business users across the organisation.
Manage budgets, identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities on an ongoing basis.
Drive a culture of innovation, creativity and technology leadership within IT.
Lead and motivate a team of multi skilled staff.
Select and contract suppliers of IT services as necessary to deliver services and projects.
To be considered for the position of IT Operations Manager, candidates must meet the following:
Essential Criteria:
10+ years IT experience in a management and service delivery role.
5+ years experience in a similar type role.
Eligible to live and work in the EU.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Able to pass a 5 -year security background check*.
Possession and demonstration of the key competencies and skills outlined below.
Key Competencies /Skills include:
Knowledge and experience of Service Desk tools and techniques.
Working knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies
Working knowledge of programme and project management methodologies.
Experience in building financial budgets and managing IT finances.
Detailed knowledge of technical and systems architecture.
Working and practical experience of linking technical and service requirements with IT Architecture
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience in the management of 3rd party relationships
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead multi-skilled, diverse and dynamic teams.

Desirable Criteria:
A degree level qualification in a relevant Business/IT discipline.
