Primary Duties:
•Reporting to the Business Support Manager you will be working as a programmer within a dynamic project management team on a number of Reporting projects and Automation.

•Planning, developing, testing and documenting computer programs.

•Working with Business Analysts in formulating plans outlining steps necessary to develop programs, using approved structure analysis and design.

•Assisting with processing and data modelling in diverse database and application environments.

Description: My Dublin West based client is currently recruiting an Business Applications Support person to join their existing team in Dublin South West.
Skills required
- 1-2 years pure Business Support Experience
- Strong SQL skills so you can query databases
- Any exposure to Financial ERP systems would be highly advantageous
- Any exposure to working alongside the finance teams would be good also
- Any exposure to Reporting tools / skills would be nice to have
This role requires a high level of technical competency & some experience using some of the following technologies:

The role requires dealing with and taking ownership for resolution of complex issues on a daily basis, and escalation of issues when necessary.
The role calls for the provision of high quality support for internal customer issues relating to the company’s many software systems. It will involve liaison with suppliers/ services providers and also operations staff , (many of whom will be external) to resolve issues or advance the software operation.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Description: Excellent Permanent role available currently in the Dublin South/ Wicklow based firm looking for a Developer & Support Analyst.
The position involves designing and developing application modules for our product suite, from concept through to deployment, as well as data conversions, report development and providing technical support to our customers and customer support team.
The role will involve on site client facing and office based work. Our customers are nationwide and access to customer sites is via web link. Some of our modules are financial, others are document management and database based. While working with the small team of developers, each is largely responsible for their own project and although direction is given, our developers are also expected to show initiative and be capable of producing satisfactory results without being micro-managed.

While we do some development using Microsoft languages, most of our product is developed using independent, highly productive RAD tools. MS-SQL is our database of choice. Many of our modules interface with MS-Office facilities.
