The position is to fulfil a need within the Data management team. The candidate will be responsible for managing the technical development leads and developers. • 10+ years in a technical specialist/support role with experience on defect management and L3 support of Large applications (Prior vendor management engagements experience is preferred)
• Experience in managing a global team Financial services
• Experience is a requirement and data warehousing experience is required.
• The candidate should have a very strong technical experience in the areas of data analysis, database design, ETL, data mining experience Strong Ab Initio /Informatica expertise is required
• The candidate should have a strong Oracle and UNIX experience
• Non-technical knowledge, experience, and skills (leadership, management, oral and/or written communication, etc.): Due to the high visibility of the position, the candidate must possess superior communication skills as they will be interacting with people with diverse skills and seniority
• The candidate should also be experienced with multitasking, balancing tasks with priorities accordingly

Description: Data Modeller required for top Company based in Cork.

The role of the Enterprise Data Warehouse Data Modeller is to work in the EDW project to implement a Data Warehouse environment to meet reporting requirements alongside a number of operational deliverables. The EDW Data Modeller will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a Logical Data Model which will be built to house the data estate. The EDW Data Modeller will have strong communication skills and will work with business users and DBA’s to expand the warehouse to meet the business requirements.

Requirements of the Role:
• Interpret accurately and contribute to the requirements as presented by the business
• Adhere to IT Project Methodology and standards
• Work with a team to ensure quality assurance
• Take ownership and responsibility for the tasks assigned to them
• Set and adhere to challenging deadlines
• Be familiar with all aspects of a development lifecycle

Technical Experience Required:
• Experience in a Teradata data warehouse environment or similar is required.
• Extensive experience in industry standard modelling tools e.g. Erwin
• Experience in creating bespoke Data Marts for use by specialised functions
• Experience with ETL tools for data provisioning and strong SQL skills.
• A third level qualification in a data management related field (e.g. Mathematics, IS or Statistics), or a Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field combined with two or more years database system experience is required.
• Experience of working with Financial systems on Oracle, IBM, or Siebel platforms would be an advantage
• An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines on their own initiative in a demanding environment
• An ability to demonstrate an organised and systematic approach to work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An ability to work with others building and maintaining strong professional relationships

The Senior Modeler is responsible for transforming business information into models (most often logical data models) and managing the enterprise data model. The emphasis on this position is the "modeling of the business" that is required for a successful data warehouse. This goes beyond the role of a typical application level "data modeler" in that it requires modeling from an "enterprise perspective" rather than from a single business perspective.
The Business Information Modeler is proficient in industry standard techniques for process modeling and data modeling. Within data modeling, the Business Information Modeler must be proficient in 3rd normal form relational modeling. Dimensional modeling experience would be a strong added value for online analytical processing. This role must be experienced in group facilitation with participants from diverse business functions and work skills. The Business Information Modeler may be the Lead Consultant on a project.
" Demonstrated senior level capabilities in conceptual analysis, problem solving, and data analysis, with ability to lead and facilitate business requirements and data analysis and modeling sessions.
" Provides support in the use of enterprise data, including guidance in understanding and exploitation of the underlying data and business models, and identifying optimal data sourcing and mapping.
" Works with business leaders to create Conceptual Architectures that align business needs with Target State Architecture.

Role Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and directing large Enterprise Data Warehouse projects.
The Project Manager may lead a single large project or oversee multiple smaller sub-projects. The Project Manager manages the team and third party contractors to ensure projects meet established time, cost, technical, and quality objectives. The Project Manager may be supported by additional Project Managers, and/or technical leads.
Candidate Background
• At least 5 years working on large projects/programs in a complex environment
• Professional Services experience and advantage
• Experience in managing large Enterprise Data Warehouse/Data integration projects an advantage
• Proven leader, leads by example
• Skilled & experienced in estimation
• Excellent communicator with both business & IT
• Understanding/recognition of business drivers/goals underpinning warehouse implementations

Key Areas of Responsibility
• Lead the scoping, planning, cost estimating, and pricing of consulting projects. Responsible for statement of work development and risk assessment, including but not limited to defining goals and objectives, identifying and documenting Client requirements, resource requirements, project budget, project risks, and the translation of the Clients’ business requirements into specific deliverables.
• Lead data warehouse or other large data solution implementation projects of moderate to high complexity, or a collection of multiple smaller projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within client expectations for quality and functionality.
• Manage Client acceptance of the solution and managing Client expectations in line with the agreed statement of work.
• Manage day-to-day relationship with client stakeholders and resolution of all issues.
• Maintain and communicate project status to all stakeholders in reports and status meetings.
• Identify sales opportunities; participate in pre-sales planning, project pricing, bid review, and presentation of sales proposals. Acquires incremental business within the project through change control.
• Ensure proper set up of the engagement in the time keeping system, ensuring consultants and contractors are always current with their reported time. Produces project financial and status reports from internal time management and financial systems.
• Ensure monthly billings, timely collection of revenue, and manage procurement and payment to contractors.
