RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individually or as part of a project team develop and implement software solutions to meet customer commitments.
-Take ownership of support requests, seeing them through to successful resolution
- Apply analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
- Develop a good knowledge of at least one product within the suite, with a working knowledge of the broader suite of products.
- Liaise closely and collaboratively with the customer (internal or external)
- A willingness to at times be on-call and carry a pager outside of normal business hours is highly desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Degree Qualified with at least 0-1 years relevant experience.
- Experience in a Development or Support & Maintenance role is desirable.
- Experience within a Unix environment. Requires knowledge of Unix commands and concepts including environment variables, file permissions, login/out procedures, shell scripting.
- Knowledge of SQL and at least one of C/C++/Java/Perl/Delphi is required.
- Experience with Oracle is desirable.,br>
- Analytical problem solving skills to aid in swift problem diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- An aptitude for grasping problems and solutions in a business as well as a technical sense.
The role requires technical knowledge but also an ability to understand the impact of the problem on the customer’s business.

Salary is totally negotiable depending on level of experience.



This role requires experience of delivering medium to large size applications using the following technologies.



• .net/ java programming (mandatory)

• Delphi (an advantage - but not essential, if willing to learn)

• RDBMS - Experience working with one of the following RDBs – SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 Server with a good understanding of database technologies.

• Internet technologies – Javascript, ASP, ActiveX, COM, XML, XSL, HTML, DHTML.

• Knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems and technologies –Win2000, XP, IIS etc.



EXPERIENCE


• 2-5 years commercial experience in a programming or design role - Junior & Senior role open

Working for the CTO, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of core and customer specific elements of the product suite. You will also contribute to the design and development of new modules within the system. The position will also involve a certain level of business-requirements analysis and this may involve direct contact with customers. The team develops both for client specific requirements and for the core product.

Technologies

Duties include

Involved with the delivery of Delphi and ASP.NET based projects.
