This role provides the opportunity to participate in the implementation of a complex server application utilised in testing multi-service IP networks.
It will provide substantial experience in the design and implementation of cutting-edge server applications.

Description of role:
• Develop best-in-class server applications
• Work independently or as part of a team within the engineering group to meet the goals of the engineering team.
• Interact with QA team to ensure that reputation for excellence is maintained.
• Best suited to applicants with 2-3 years of experience developing Java applications and looking to develop their skill set while contributing to a world-leading software solution.
Requirements:
• Excellent development skills.
• Minimum 2 years experience in developing complex Java applications.
• Experience in Design Patterns, Java Beans and other Java innovations.
• Knowledge of network protocols, particularly TCP/IP, would be an advantage.
• Experience of working in a team, adhering to team practices and coding standards to produce robust and maintainable software solutions.
• Self-motivator with an analytical mind to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Fluent English required.
• Educated to degree level in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Description: My client is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have design and development experience for Web Services, Java, EJB and SOAP, and also be strong on MySQL.

Skills requires:
• Java development, experience with Java, EJB and Web Services
• Apache/Tomcat and JBoss
• MySQL database experience
• Experience with some or all of the following: Struts, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, Flash
• Good understanding of internet technologies ie. HTTP, TCP/IP
• Exposure to SOAP and UML diagrams

• Experience in an object orientated environment
