New Permanent Role available for a Java Developer to work with a very successful Company on their Server side Engineering team
This role provides the opportunity to participate in the implementation of a complex server application utilised in testing multi-service IP networks.
It will provide substantial experience in the design and implementation of cutting-edge server applications.

Description of role:
• Develop best-in-class server applications
• Work independently or as part of a team within the engineering group to meet the goals of the engineering team.
• Interact with QA team to ensure that reputation for excellence is maintained.
• Best suited to applicants with 2-3 years of experience developing Java applications and looking to develop their skill set while contributing to a world-leading software solution.
Requirements:
• Excellent development skills.
• Minimum 2 years experience in developing complex Java applications.
• Experience in Design Patterns, Java Beans and other Java innovations.
• Knowledge of network protocols, particularly TCP/IP, would be an advantage.
• Experience of working in a team, adhering to team practices and coding standards to produce robust and maintainable software solutions.
• Self-motivator with an analytical mind to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Fluent English required.
• Educated to degree level in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Description: My client is looking for an experienced Java / J2EE Engineer to join their existing team where they can be based at either their Dublin office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a progressive company.

Duties:
• Analyse requirements and design software solutions
• Support the creation of functioning code
• Assess project risks
• Support the team’s testing effort
• Actively contribute during brainstorming sessions

Requirements:
• Solid Java / J2EE development experience with exposure to JBoss, Hibernate
• Strong knowledge of UML
• JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, etc
• Experience of the following; Object Oriented Analysis, Object Oriented Design, Agile Methodology
• Real-time development experience an advantage
• Good data analysis skills also an advantageous
• Excellent communications skills
• Ideally 5+ years experience
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent
