We are currently seeking to recruit an ERP Solutions Architect to join our IT team. This is a full-time position based at our Head Office and reports directly to the Head of IT, Logistics and Service Delivery.

Job Purpose:
IT Strategy, Development Manager, Microsoft Dynamics AX, X++, NET, SQL, C++, Oracle, ERP Systems, Project Management, IT Leadership
The Dynamics AX Application Manager role is to lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Provide functional, technical and process leadership. Drive tactical delivery for multiple teams. Work with analysts, project managers, and business executives to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for development. Work with high performing teams to deliver new capabilities in business applications and remediate issues. Manage associate/contractor development resources and enforces company policies in areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management, compliance, and HR.
The ideal candidates will have:
• At LEAST 3 years & 1 implementation with Dynamics AX Development Role
• Consideration will be given to experience in other ERP solution
• Will have developed/managed in a .NET environment
• Experience in AX 2012 a PLUS (Although training is offered)
• Experience in Finance, Trading, Forecasting, Retail and Wholesale module

Job Responsibilities:
Proactively analyse, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to team
Coordinate coding, testing, implementation and documentation of solution.
Perform complex applications programming activities. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies complex applications programs.
Manage a large team of internal developers.
Manage outsourcing relationships and delivery within the application development lifecycle.
Implement standards and methodologies supporting the full life cycle for our core business application platforms.
Collaborate with project and business analyst teams to ensure scope, requirements, project plans, resource allocations, budgets, issues, communication and implementation plans are developed, communicated, and updated regularly.
Maintain a work environment that stimulates the professional growth of all direct/indirect reports. Recruit and maintain effective staff members.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained through solid relationships, delivery of capabilities, and operational excellence.
Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved.
Define guidelines and rules for managing application architectures. These guidelines and rules will include planning and gaining consensus for business metrics, a common taxonomy for application management, IT performance metrics, and ownership and custodianship of the application portfolio.
Agree to a common taxonomy and hand-offs with different parts of the IT organization, and define a common vocabulary as it relates to managing the applications.
Define the relative criticality of different applications in an application portfolio.
Communicate and transfer plans and interfaces between the Plan, Build and Run stages.
Assess scalability of existing and proposed custom applications; spearhead build vs. buy decisions.
Advocate for the app dev perspective across the IT team and the organization as a whole.
Provide critical input to IT leadership and help communicate our vision to senior management.
Develop a matrix around the delivery of projects.
Articulate the value of the development function within the wider business.
Able to communicate with business customers about business technology

AX Solutions Architect / ERP Solutions Architect
Role Synopsis:
The AX Solutions ARchitect / ERP Solutions Architect will have a strong overall knowledge of both the functional and technical aspects of an ERP system. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to develop functional and technical enhancements delivering high quality results. The role will function as a subject matter expert for application configuration and design, optimising features and system performance.
The ideal candidates will have:
• At LEAST 3 years & 1 implementation with Dynamics AX
Consideration will be given to experience in other ERP solution
• Experience in AX 2012 a PLUS (Although training is offered)
• Experience in Finance, Trading, Forecasting, Retail and Wholesale module

Responsibilities:
• Lead a project team driving best practices and guidance to integrate and improve methodologies and user experience
• Work closely with the Programme Manager to ensure that all deadlines related to the technical aspects of the ERP implementation are achieved
• Responsible for conducting peer reviews for ERP application configuration design and adherence to best practices, standards, procedures and methodologies
• Configure and test ERP system module configurations to ensure delivered solutions meet the business functional requirements
• Work closely with the Technical Team to build hardware sizing requirements
• Work closely with the Development Team to create requirements documents that will be used by developers for customising our ERP system
• Monitor development and release activities to ensure development guidelines are being followed
• Promote development objects during build and ensure testing are complete
• Document environment specifications
• Communicate ERP implementation environment methodology to the IT team
• Build and or copy new environments as needed
• Engage the project team and end-users to architect and develop gap/fit solutions
• Configure our ERP system to enhancement or automate business processes

Candidate Profile:
• Strong organisational abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate a strong ability to work on own initiative
• Hold complete knowledge of the full lifecycle of an ERP implementation and knowledge of ERP software including end to end business process covering system in supply chain, financial and retail
• Experience of full scope not only in daily operations but also familiarity in BI reporting and e-commerce
• IT business analyst experience with strong SDLC
• Knowledge of finance, trade and logistics and either production or project functionality within Dynamics AX 2012 would be an advantage
• Proven project experience modifying or creating new reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical developers
• Must possess critical thinking skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding and dynamic work environment
• Degree in Computer Science and Information Systems would be an advantage

- A good knowledge of the principles of ERP supply chain management and/or accounting and/or sales process management.
- A formal project management qualification.

The role will involve much travel but the company likes their consultants to have a work life balance so they offer 40 days annual leave so people can work abroad and take plenty of time off in between projects. many of the consultants work from home on Friday's as well to compensate for the travel to the UK.

What the role involves:
• Planning, managing, and driving implementation tasks with a specific focus on finance and accounting systems within my client business units.
• Working simultaneously on different assignments with varying degrees of complexity. Ability to manage your own time to deliver results in an affirmative, collegiate and respectful working environment.
• Working directly with my clients Finance Team as their key IT point of contact
• Always taking an end-to-end view of business processes and understanding how a change in one business area impacts other areas, and communicating/agreeing courses of action to ensure a consistent and robust business architecture is maintained.
• Translating business requirements into technical specification.
• Documenting and maintaining project requirements/content in Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other equivalent IT tools.
• Liaising with internal and external process owners to address issues, inefficiencies and risks and identifying areas for operational efficiency improvements.
• Supporting the development and enhancement of the service management function to improve overall service to all clients.
• Planning and coordinating the change management required for roll-out of new developments.

Skill Set:
• At least 5 years Business Analysis or Systems Implementation (Software Products) experience in a structured project environment, ideally with experience of a variety of project methodologies, including Waterfall, Incremental, and Agile
• Specific experience of finance/accounting/ERP systems in a variety of business and/or client environment. Systems/solutions may include (but are not limited to): Agresso; MS Dynamics NAV, AX or GP; Oracle E-Business Suite; Business One by SAP; Netsuite; Exchequer Software Solutions; JD Edwards; Movex; and Sage / TASbooks / Quickbooks.
• Experience in design, configuration and implementation of financial management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Accountancy qualification or Financial Management experience is a strong advantage, yet it is not a specific requirement for this role.

Desirable:
• A multi-tasking individual with flexibility and excellent problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong IT technical skills with finance/accounting/ERP systems experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently on your own initiative.
• Friendly, inclusive personality who takes personal responsibility for their commitments.
