Description: EDI Solutions Analyst

The role:
The IT Solutions Analyst role includes responsibility for the functional design, specification and delivery of proprietary IT solutions.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
• You will be responsible for the IT solution architecture and design incorporating the engineering solution, operational and customer specific requirements
• You will be responsible for producing the Functional Specifications to support the delivery of new business projects, business Change Requests and customer change requests.
• You will work closely with Customers, IT Analyst, Business Development, Engineering & Operational teams
• Business Analysis - gap reviews, impact assessments and documentation of Functional Requirements.
• You will design practical, efficient, cost effective solutions providing options with benefits, risks, recommendations included. Solutions will need to be designed taking into consideration of geography, time, budget, resource, customer constraints, volumes, skills, available technologies
• Communication and liaison with all key stakeholders.
• You will support & assist project test phases – QA, System Integration Testing & User Acceptance Testing.
• You will facilitate and support onsite deployments through warranty periods.
• Management, diagnosis and prioritisation of issue logging in conjunction with IT Project Manager.
• Support of solution deployments from concept through live/warranty phase.
• Review and approval of delivered software prior to promotion into production environments
• Responsible for supporting delivery of projects through to closure of warranty phase.

Experience:
Minimum skills required:
• Degree in Computer Science a related field or relevant industry experience (5+ years IT related role).
• Proven experience within Logistics/Supply chain industry supporting delivery
• Ability to apply creativity and critical thinking to problem solving solutions.
• Strong Project Management skills with proven capability to deliver well documented solutions within the constraints of time, cost and functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to work with remote teams and remote customers across numerous geographies and time zones.
• Extensive experience with core software applications and processes.
• Good understanding of databases. Ability to develop and interpret detailed and complex technical documentation.
• General knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of EDI messaging and Enterprise Integration solutions.

We are looking for Managers who can demonstrate large scale technology enabled business transformation experience to work across multiple sectors and specifically those with a strong background in programme and project management, including PMO.

As a Manager:
• You will participate in and, as required, lead IT Advisory engagements
• Manage financial aspects of client engagements and communicate significant issues, fees, and estimates to complete to partners and clients
• Assist partners and directors with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships
• You will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and develop a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities.
• You will lead presentations and proposals for medium complex projects or elements of highly complex projects, and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals.
• Drawing on your skills and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.
• You'll create clear, concise, high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems.
• Of a respected professional you'll communicate effectively with the engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff to build sustainable competencies.

Desired Experience
• Strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a business or IT related area
• At this Manager level, there will be opportunities to work across our focus sectors within the PI practice (Health, Utilities, Transport, Government) so experience in these sectors would also be an advantage
• At least 5 years with a blue chip consulting firm or blue-chip industry/government organisation
• Proven experience in business development such as client relationship management and proposal support
• A strong background in large scale systems implementation, preferably ERP , r CRM or Enterprise Intelligence/Analytics systems, from planning to management of analysis, design, testing, data migration, cut-over and post implementation processes. Senior stakeholder management and communication and engagement experience is also beneficial.

We are seeking individuals with significant experience or individuals who have gained project and technology delivery experience within large recognised organisations. We are looking for Senior Consultants with a proven track record in delivery of complex IT related projects and programmes.

Job Specification
At Senior Consultant level, there will be opportunities to work across our focus sectors within the PI practice (Health, Utilities, Transport, Government) so experience in these sectors would also be an advantage. Specifically, the Business Analyst will:
• Conduct business requirements gathering sessions with business;
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, recommend and drive resolutions;
• Develop and present detailed business cases to business and IT stakeholders and management;
• Prepare and revise process documentation as necessary;
• Assess and validate various technology solutions from various providers in order to document gap analysis with recommendations;
• Develop solution specifications, system configuration requirements, changes to business processes and recommendations to meet defined business requirements;
• Management client expectation and seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships;
• Train other team members through both formal and informal training sessions;

Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in leadership;
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
• System integration experience with respect to master data integration among several interlaces systems;
• Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
• Advanced problem solving skills required to identify solution to complex and technically challenging problems;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts;
• Strong attention to details with the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner;

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology or related field;
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in business analysis, finance or audit capacity;
• Extensive hands on experience and strong knowledge base in several of the following functional areas: Finance General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Work Order, Service Management, Project Accounting, Human Resources
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• CA, CMA and/or CISA designations will be considered as asset;
• Experience with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle), financial consolidation applications (Cognos Controller, Hyperion) and/or BI concepts would be an asset;

Excellent customer service and customer facing skills to work alongside customers on and off site.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
Highly Desirable
One or Two years' experience working in a similar support role for a software house or experience gained in the ERP business software.
Demonstrated Customer Service / Customer Relationship Experience.
Knowledge of Database platforms for ERP solutions preferably SQL Server.
