My client is looking for a technical analyst to join their team for a 9 month Fixed term contract in Dublin City

Job Description:
The technical analyst will support the QA Manager and will require someone with strong analytical and problem solving skills. The suitable candidate will be testing data extracts for consistency and completeness in line with a pre-defined schema from locations around Ireland and loading this data into a central database. Travel to branch locations is a function of this role and the candidate will need to have exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.

Skill Set:
• 2-3 Years experience in a relevant position.
• Strong Excel and Access skills.
• Good understanding of SQL
• Exceptional ICT and report writing skills showing potential to maximise the use of technology.

Description: Business Analyst required for a Top Financial Services Company based in Dublin.
My Client has an open role for a business analyst with responsibility for
the delivery of timely and accurate management information to a large and varied audience across the Group.
Using the latest Business Intelligence and database technologies The successful candidate will assist in the development, maintenance and distribution of broad range of reports to a large and diverse audience across the Group.
The role will involve a mix of report development, IT systems management and customer support activities. Although the role is primarily technical, it would be expected that over time the successful candidate would attain a high degree of business/system expertise, where the ability to analyse and interpret data will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Development and maintenance of reports using the Business Objects, Microsoft, Brio & Cognos reporting suites
• Liaising with Business Units and Group IT to understand business & technical requirements to ensure key deliverables are met
• Manage & maintain the report production schedule and Reporting Dashboard to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of reports
• Pre-production testing and QA of reports to ensure reports are of a high standard
• Maintenance of core reporting systems & data
Handling ad-hoc data and report requests
• Strong technical ability with a third level qualification (preferably IT) or equivalent experience
• Previous development experience in Business Objects, Microsoft Reporting Tools
• An advanced proficiency on Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel & Access)
• Good knowledge of relational databases, with SQL experience
• Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills displaying a courteous and professional manner when dealing with our customers/business partners


Desirable Requirements:
• Previous development experience in ASP.Net, Silverlight, SharePoint, Cognos, or Brio
• A good understanding of VB/VBA would be an advantage
• An ability to analyse & interpret Financial / Non Financial data

Key Responsibilities:


Liaise with Business Partners and management to understand reporting needs to generate automated reporting.

Development and production of management packs used by the business which provide analysis on Key Performance Indicators.(KPI’s)

Develop/enhance and produce new & existing reporting within agreed timelines to meet business unit’s needs using a range of reporting application tools.

Essential Requirements:


A business acumen with the ability to interpret stakeholders requests and deliver appropriate reporting

Overview:
Excellent client looking for a Financial Data Analyst in their Credit Risk Team.

Job Description:
To lead and support the review and further development of the company’s existing Portfolio Credit Risk modelling methodology used for the purpose of identifying potential additional capital requirements for Credit Concentration Risk.
 Be familiar with current Credit Concentration Risk Regulatory requirements (GL31). Keep up to date and abreast of new Regulatory requirements, industry best practice and take steps to position the company to implement same.
 Become the subject matter expert on Portfolio Credit Risk modelling for engagement with the Central Bank around the company’s risk management practices, such as SREP interviews, and follow up responses and documentation.
 Ensure any shortcomings raised by either Internal or External stakeholders are satisfied in future enhancements of the model in line with prescribed deadlines.
 Increase the understanding of Portfolio Credit Risk Modelling and stress testing across the company, through targeted presentations and Senior Management Understanding programmes.
 Take ownership of the execution of stress testing for Credit Concentration Risk and ensure the complete, timely and accurate submission of external and internal stress testing reports to the Stress Test Team and relevant external Regulators.
 To extract and analyse trends from Credit Concentration Risk stress testing results so as to inform senior management decision making.
 To ensure the appropriate documentation supporting the process is reviewed, maintained at a consistently high standard and is up to date.
 Build and maintain relationship across the Group so as to ensure that Portfolio Credit Risk Modelling requirements are satisfied at all times and that a consistent and robust methodology is implemented.


Required Skills:
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate:

Excellent numeracy skills (degree / masters in a numeric discipline).
 Strong data management, analytical and reporting skills – experience of using these in a high data volume environment.
 An in-depth knowledge and understanding of Credit Portfolio Models such as KMV.
 An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory rules / requirements as prescribed under the Capital Requirements Directive (CRB)/ Basle II Framework together with their practical application, (asset correlations etc).
 Clear understanding of the Regulatory Stress Testing requirements for IRB and STD (standardised) portfolios (GL31 and GL32),
 Proficiency in Excel to include / VBA,
 An understanding of the composition of credit portfolios or a background in Credit and/or Banking.
 Proficiency in the SQL query writing for use with FERMAT and the EDW.
 A working understanding of SAS would be beneficial.

This is a permanent, full time, position based with a Top Financial Services Company based in Dublin City Centre.

The CRM team is responsible for the development and delivery of campaigns into the branch, telephone and online channels.
The objective is to find commercially successful ways of driving cross-sales and higher product holdings across key customer segments.

The Role:
• Lead the development of analytics models using the SAS analytics suite. The focus of this work is to use sophisticated analytical techniques to determine which customers have high propensity to purchase specific products.
• Develop propensity models for key products that deliver strong uplift.
• Manage models through their lifecycle to ensure they deliver ongoing success.
• Develop the models to input into the development of the next best offer capability.
• Contribute to the ongoing build and maintenance of the Marketing Data Warehouse.
• Work closely with the wider members of the team to build a dynamic and commercially focused campaign process.
• Manage the delivery of ‘Return on Investment’ in-campaign and post-campaign reporting.
• Provide customer profiling, marketing reporting and segmentation analysis as required.
• Provide ad hoc analysis as required to support key commercial decisions and business case development.
• Coach other members of the team to support the development of a wider and deeper analytical/modelling capability within the business.
• Liaise with external vendors, such as SAS, to ensure we are getting the most out of the analytical tools.
• Work to ensure that the wider CRM infrastructure is aligned with and integrated as required with key systems (SAS, SMART, BICC etc.)


The Person:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in statistics or a similar discipline. They will have proven commercial experience and the ability to apply statistical analysis to drive outstanding commercial results.

They will also have:
• proven experience, ideally within financial services industry
• SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Enterprise Guide
• advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills
• strong team and interpersonal skills
• strong written and verbal communication skills
