Description: My top Dublin City Centre client is recruiting for a CAAT Specialist
This role involves taking charge of a broad variety of Data Services engagements from planning to completion. Data Services encompasses CAATs and a variety of spreadsheet and database assignments from design & build to review.
Responsibilities include:
Identify audit efficiencies possible through the use of automated testing;
Designing appropriate procedures and audit programmes in line with audit approach;
Liaising onsite with clients to obtain relevant data to perform the required testing for the audit team;
Researching and resolving technical queries from clients or audit team;
Taking responsibility for delivering work in line with engagement objectives and budget;
Review the work of junior team members to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames;
Work as an effective team member during an engagement by communicating relevant issues, requesting feedback and coaching junior team members.
Preparing reports detailing the results of testing performed to be provided to the audit team for use during the engagement;
Reporting on audit findings to the Managers/Senior Managers and Partners and in particular raise any issues arising during field work;
Design, build and review financial projections;
Design, build and review automated spreadsheet/database applications;
Experience Required:
3-4 years data mining/manipulation experience ideally in a Big 4 firm or large bank/insurance mulit-national other.
Experienced in the use of Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs);
Strong technical knowledge and some combination of accounting, finance, analytical, controls, business process, and information technology knowledge
Skills
Highly Proficient in ACL, Microsoft Access, SQL server or other such tool;
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel;
Exposure to XML or XBRL an advantage

Exams Business Analyst Job Description:
The successful candidate will be an individual with strong analytical, organisational, statistical and change management skills.
This role will be responsible for processing data and information to support students and academic staff. The successful candidate will develop, maintain and support the management information of exams. This role involves a mixture of technical expertise, stakeholder management, prioritisation and customer management skills. Experience of providing systems support and assistance, including leading the development of future enhancements is necessary. Candidates must be degree educated, preferably in an analytical discipline. Relevant experience gained within a relevant field would be advantageous.
Exams Business Analyst Role/Responsibilities:
Co-ordinating and collecting information at a sufficient level of detail to identify and document college requirements.
Collating and reconciling data and information from various sources to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Carrying out analyses or investigations to defined briefs to support project management and delivery.
Producing and providing clarification on periodic or ad-hoc reports or analyses within the examination framework.
Participating in planning of projects, work stream and tests to ensure the delivery of the required outputs.
Analysing project plans to support the management and delivery of faculty projects.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with both students and staff.
Working with Educational leads to enable the delivery of faculty initiatives to support the college.
Handling day to day enquiries in line with faculty activities, practices and procedures to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Implementing changes to operational processes as appropriate.
Working across administrative functions to maintain the integrity of student records.
Administrative duties.
Collate and communicate operational metrics to senior management on an ongoing basis.

A Senior Model Validation quant required for an Irish bank. Responsibilities will include validating and assessing the model risk on a variety of pricing, risk measurement and balance sheet models.
The candidate will be required to assess and validate pricing and risk measurement models used with the bank and to document and present the results of these validations at a monthly model governance forum. In addition the candidate will be required to add to the quantitative expertise within the department and assist other team members on various validation projects that they are working on.
The Successful candidate will have the following:
Advanced quantitative degree such as MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Finance, Physics, Econometrics or Engineering.
At least 5 years of financial modelling experience.
Knowledge of some or all of the following topics: Swap and Option Pricing, Curve Construction, Credit Derivatives, Credit Valuation Adjustment, Value at Risk, Stress Testing, and Balance Sheet / ALM Models.
Programming ability in VBA and / or MATLAB and C++.
An ability to prioritise tasks and to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
