Description: My Dublin City Centre based client is currently looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their expanding team in a permanent role.
The company is seeking to appoint a Data Analyst to support the organisation’s data related activities to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The role will conduct full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities. It will continuously assist the business in monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
In addition to working with business units directly the role will work with the project management office (PMO). The PMO is responsible for managing the digital transformation and business change programme for the company. The Office actively supports and enables the implementation of the company’s strategic change programme which includes complex technical, business systems and change projects and programmes.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to work within a dynamic and rapidly developing area of the company. This role will suit someone with a number of years of experience, who has the ability to work in complex business environments and who easily engages both key stakeholders and customers. The position will appeal to a self-starting, energetic individual who enjoys fresh challenges in an organisation undergoing increased growth and internationalization.
Reporting Relationship
The Data Analyst will report to the ICT Manager and will closely across the business but in particular with the PMO (Project Management Office).

Standard Duties of the Post
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to the business and management
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Support data management requirements for key busy periods including course enrolments, subscription runs and new affiliates
• Develop and audit relevant policies and data management practices that effectively manage the full data life cycle needs of the business

Person Specification
• Relevant third level qualification with proven capability and 3+ years’ experience in a comparable role
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages such as Oracle Discoverer, Jaspersoft, Excel 2013, Microsoft Power BI and databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment are required to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups
• Demonstrated capability and sensitivity to manage key business relationships as the role involves a high degree of interaction and collaboration with key stakeholders
• Self-starter with high motivation and the ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve goals within agreed timeframes
• Proven organisational capability and high levels of personal effectiveness. The person is expected to handle a varied and diverse workload to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail
• Strong intellectual, analytical and thinking skills

Responsible for querying, deep-diving and presenting data to all business levels in line with commercial objectives and in a format that facilitates decisions in relation to platform performance and client management.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of business-critical BI/reporting role-based dashboards and tools to drive improved commercial performance

• Support activities within the measurement, analysis and optimisation of products and platforms

• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets e.g. identifying patterns in customer behaviour as part of CRM segmentation model creation/optimisation, extracting insights towards which segments drive increased profit/revenue

• Execute detailed, exploratory quantitative analyses that translates data into actionable recommendations that drive improved commercial performance

• Using analytics identify inefficiencies in the current business model/processes and support the implementation of solutions to those inefficiencieS

• Interpret, document and present data-driven commercial insights to support business decisions relating to the management of clients so as to ensure increased longevity, transactional behaviour and profitability

• Review historical methodologies and present commercially sound proposals identifying where relevant a new and improved approach to the segmentation of the client base

• Create new metrics to measure behaviour relevant to the channel covering areas such as acquisition, conversion, retention and reactivation

• Communicate directly with stakeholders with a view to educating them about the data behind their business decisions and implementing change

• Critically evaluate commercial proposals put forward by the Marketing Department, business owners and Senior Managers with a view to determining ROI and value

• Conduct research and analysis into key business drivers, customer management, special offers, financial performance and new business opportunities

• Production of incisive reports, informing the business of internal and external issues

• Research and analysis on new product opportunities and pricing mechanisms

• Development of KPIs and operating metrics for operational monitoring and management

• Data mining databases of sports, specials and customer transactions to drive and support your hypotheses and findings;

• Other duties as required by the Head of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics

Role Requirements

• University degree in a relevant quantitative field / discipline (e.g. Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science etc.)
• Minimum 2-3 years’ commercial experience in an analytical or quantitative role
• Solid working knowledge of SQL
• Experience building multi-dimensional, multi-metric KPI dashboards within an industry-standard BI platform e.g. Tableau, SAS VA, Oracle BI, SSRS, MS Power BI (e.g. Excel Power Pivots), other
• Pro-active problem solver with highly analytical mind set, matched by curiosity and determination to solve business problems through deep-dive analysis of large data sets
• Proven ability to apply aptitude and analytical rigour to perform structured analysis of data and synthesise into useful formats bringing actionable insights
• Advanced level knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Excel VBA is desirable

• Contribute to new business intelligence, report transformation and system integration projects as they arise.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years reporting experience, working with datasets from multiple sources to compile and deliver accurate operational and management information.
• Technical skills, including working knowledge of relational database systems and SQL queries. Advanced proficiency MS Access & MS Excel required with a demonstrated willingness to learn new skills and technologies (SAS, SQL Server).
• Excellent written, report presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under direction but also to take responsibility for the delivery of operational and MI requirements within demanding timescales.




Desirable:

• Experience with SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL Server advantageous.
• Financial services, Credit or Collections reporting experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues from different disciplines across the business and credit management functions.

I am currently hiring an experienced Project Coordinator to play a key role in the delivery of project support. This is a key role which will have good visibility across the group and allow the successful applicant to get a wide angle view of the project universe within the business.

In addition to project support the successful person will be expected to run with smaller projects and develop their project management skill.

Responsibilities:
KPIs
• Successful implementation and ongoing administration of project management framework, processes, and tools
• Collation of status reporting across multiple programs and business functions
• Effective tracking and communication of project status and metrics
• Support the development and improvement of processes, procedures, and tools

Key Tasks
• Working with the organisations Project Managers to plan and track project progress, including management of weekly status reports, and tracking against project budge
• Maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete
• Track and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects
• Provide assistance to the Knowledge Manager to maintain and update the project management framework and disciplines necessary to support a PMO
• Develop positive relationships with managers and staff to enable the PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects
• Coordinating actions and minutes for weekly project meeting.

Key Skills
• Knowledge of PMO/Project Coordinator experience with a good knowledge of project management process
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
• Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), with the able to manipulate data in spreadsheets, and create presentations in PowerPoint


Experience:
• Minimum 3-4 years Project Administration experience
• Proven experience in a Project Support / Project Coordinator role - project reporting, costings, resource allocation.
• Experience in a busy Project or PMO environment would be ideal

I am looking for someone with circa 3-4 years experience in a similar role and somone who has experience supporting multiple projects for a Project Manager
