Responsibilities of the Head of Regulatory Reporting role include:
Management and leadership of the Regulatory Reporting Team with overall responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of all regulatory reports including prudential and statistical returns
Ensure a robust internal control framework, review and reconciliation process exits around all regulatory reporting
Proactively review ongoing compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
Positioning the Regulatory Reporting Team so that it contributes to the continuous improvement in efficiency
Maintain, review and enhance relevant Policies, Frameworks and procedural documentation
Monitoring emerging regulatory changes and proactively assessing the implications of emerging regulatory change from an operational regulatory reporting prospective and a strategic perspective
Identifying opportunities to optimise capital and liquidity within the regulatory framework
Collaborate and provide guidance to the Financial Planning team to ensure that regulatory requirements and metrics are appropriately reflected in the medium term financial plans
Review and ensure that appropriate regulatory capital and liquidity disclosures are included in the Annual and Interim Reports
Take ownership for the co-ordination and pro-active management of any ad-hoc regulatory requests for data/MI and ensure appropriate governance arrangements in place
Ensure that any outstanding Internal Audit, Management Letter or Risk Issue Repository actions are responded to comprehensively and actions closed on a timely basis
Providing support and advice across a wide range of strategic initiatives
Coaching, developing and mentoring of the Managers in the function
Building robust relationships with the groups senior management team, regulators, internal/ external auditors and all other key stakeholders
Skills required for the role of Head of Regulatory Reporting:
Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years PQE (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
Proven experience of managing a Regulatory Reporting Function.
Extensive knowledge of the CRR, CRDIV, and other relevant regulations
Significant experience in production of COREP, FINREP, LCR and other prudential regulatory returns
Extensive knowledge of regulatory and accounting requirements and guidance including proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Track record in a senior finance role in financial services, with a proven ability to engage with and deliver for Executive Management and Board level
Proficient in financial reporting and operations requirements.
Experience of leading change initiatives successfully
Manage teams of professionally qualified and skilled staff
Sound commercial acumen and excellent planning skills
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
A clear focus on quality and efficiency
Strong problem solving capabilities
Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
Sound business judgement and an ability to be decisive

Operating Controls Support
Support the Design and Management of the Process and Controls Framework
Assist in defining control requirements for core operating processes
Liaise with Process Owners to ensure that control requirements are understood and fully integrated into operating processes
Identify the risks relevant to specific functional areas and assist in developing practical and effective controls to mitigate the key risks
Spread an awareness and share knowledge of operating process guidance and standards such as COBiT, ITIL, PMBoK and DAMA
Participate in Risk and Compliance governance meetings as required
Analyse and enhance operating processes as appropriate
Audit, Risk and Compliance
Support audit and compliance remediation in terms of control and risk documentation (where appropriate)
Assist with the maintenance & monitoring of standards, controls, processes and solutions, to minimise business and IT risk
Support Management with the embedding of the new culture and behaviours
Positive and proactive participation within the team and active collaboration with colleagues across as appropriate

Skills required for the Business Analyst:
A third level computing qualification, ideally 2.1 or higher.

Ability to write basic SQL and query datasets.
A key client-facing interface between business and IT, with responsibility for the Analysis and Testing of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
Experience in Financial Services.
