Overview:
My client is a large corporate looking for an Architect with a minimum 7 years hands- technology integration experience.

Job Description:
• Develop, maintain, implement and manage the organization technology and infrastructure principles, standards and guidelines.
• Develop, maintain, implement and manage the organization technology inventory and architecture landscape
• Articulating at a strategic level data centre operational frameworks and how they apply to data centre service provider
• Building, developing and documenting infrastructure processes with a focus on technology growth, performance, reliability and security
• Leading the process of defining the infrastructure design of all IT systems, including high level and detailed design planning and/or reviews
• Maintain a deep understanding of infrastructure architecture trends as well as a high level of expertise around enterprise products and technologies
• Provide continuity and consistency in all major infrastructure solution decisions.
• Provide input to develop and maintain the IT Strategy.
• Work with the Applications Architect to determine how technology can be applied to meet business needs.
• Maintain knowledge and deep expertise in the technology and infrastructure landscape relevant to the company
• Guide project teams in the selection and implementation technological solutions.
• Pro-actively identify and promote architectures that are beneficial to or aligned with the company business needs
• Promote and present infrastructure design and principles to IT colleagues and senior business management
• Resolve high-level functional issues as they emerge.
• An active “agent for change” in the organization.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with each business area.
• Support and contribute to other management processes and disciplines within IT and business areas: Examples are …

Skill Set:
• Degree in business computer science or a related field.
• Experienced architect with at least seven years of hands-on technology / infrastructure experience with a broad knowledge of development platforms, languages and technologies.
• Deep understanding of the architecture disciplines, processes, concepts and best practices.
• Working knowledge of TOGAF
• Previous experience with initiating and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and externally, using strong influencing skills to achieve business goals
• Provide coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to generate innovative technical solutions as required
• A good understanding of business operations and the commercial viability and impact of technical / professional decisions on the performance of the organisation
• Driver of high standards for individual, team and organisational accomplishment and delivering desired results
• Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion, along with the ability to communicate complex information to others.
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships (both internal and external) with excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
• Highly motivated individual with strong leadership and technical problem solving skills.
• ITIL Certification to Manager Level is desirable.


Remuneration Package:
Salary band €65-83k per annum plus 15% bonus and benefits package

• Presentation of security approach and designs to senior management and IT colleagues
• Maintain awareness and understanding of applicable EU, state and industry regulations and aligning risk controls and technology with them
• Ensuring business understanding of key IT security risks and IT risk strategies and their impact through effective communication, awareness raising and training initiatives

Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that the MSP and all sub-contracted suppliers are meeting their contractual obligations
• Develop and review Service Level Agreements (SLAs), contracts and other documents for third-party suppliers
• Ensure that all roles and relationships between lead and sub-contracted suppliers are clearly defined and effective in the delivery of services
• Perform contract and SLA reviews periodically, and ensure that all contracts are consistent with organizational requirements
• Manage Audit reviews of MSP and all sub-contractors on a periodic basis and in line with Information Security/Data Protection requirements
• Develop and maintain a process for dealing with contractual disputes, and ensure that any disputes are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner
• Develop and maintain a process for dealing with the expected end, early end or transfer of a service
• Act as primary interface between the company and the MSP
• Manage relationships between the MSP and other groups
• Work closely with the Business Applications Group to ensure a successful working relationship with the MSP and all sub-contractors
• Monitor, report and regularly review supplier performance against targets, identifying improvement actions as appropriate and ensure these actions are implemented
• Be intimately familiar with the company IT strategy and contribute to strategic planning as and when required
• Represent the company IT Service Delivery at supplier workshops as and other engagements
•Contribute to the Change Advisory Board and ensure changes are assessed for their impact on suppliers, supporting services and contracts when appropriate
• Coordinate and support all individual IT supplier and contract managers, ensuring that each supplier/contract has a nominated owner within the service provider organization
• Lead the production and maintenance of an accurate Service Portfolio and Service Catalogue, and the corresponding maintenance procedures.
• Own and operate assigned ITIL Processes which will include Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management and Service Continuity Management
• Oversee Operations Management and Event Management
• Lead Service Management Analysts (2 in number) in the delivery of IT services

Qualifications/Requirements
• Degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering or IT discipline with a minimum of 8 years’ experience
• ITIL Certification to Manager Level
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an outsourced environment, in a senior role, on either vendor or client side
• Experience working in an ITIL aligned IT organisation
• Deep understanding of IT disciplines, processes, concepts and best practices
• Customer-focused approach to delivering strategy and infrastructure management services to internal customers
• Project Management qualification and experience desirable

The Role
The main purpose of this role is to respond to requests for updates from customers on the progress of their calls along with providing resolution of incidents and requests for service assigned to Desktop Support work queue.
Key Accountabilities
Logging of Calls

Manning of the IT Service Desk telephone line on rotation with other members of the Desktop Support and Service Desk Team.
Entry of details of incidents and requests for service into the Service Desk system.
Correctly capturing the data required to determine the severity.
Monitoring Service Desk work queue for automatically logged calls.
Assigning calls as appropriate.

First Level Support

Responding to requests for updates from customers on the progress of their calls.
Resolving calls on initial contact from customer where possible.
Examples of first level call resolution includes:
• Reset of passwords
• Re-enabling user accounts.
• Restart of printer queues
• Resolving some connection issues.
• Providing advice on some desktop applications.

Desktop Support

Resolution of incidents and requests for service assigned to Desktop Support work queue. Examples of incidents and service requests include:
• Issuing and dealing with issues arising with Blackberry devices
• Set-up of new PCs
• Upgrades to PCs
• Diagnosis and repair of PC issues.
• Installation of software on PCs
• Dealing with PC and PC application configuration issues.
• Coordinating resolution of printer issues through outsourced maintenance agreement.
• Issuing and replacement of PC peripherals (USB memory sticks, local printers, keyboards, mice)
• Set-up of workstation.
• Supporting Video Conferencing.
• Safe disposal of obsolete equipment.

Skills and Experience
Technical Competencies:

Experience working in a similar role;
Third level IT Qualification is essential;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products;
Certification by ITIL.
Recognised technical support qualification such as Microsoft Certified Desktop;
Support Technician or compTIA Aplus;
Working knowledge of Lotus Notes.
Experience of supporting Video Conferencing;
Excellent pc skills
