IS Information Architect



Role Description:



This is an opportunity for someone to operate at a strategic level to shape and influence data strategy and make a real impact as part of a centralised architecture function. The role reports to the Governance and Planning Manager.



Key Responsibilities of IS Information Architect:

Lead efforts to establish, define, maintain and communicate data architecture guidelines, principles, standards and best practices across the enterprise.
Establish and maintain models and artefacts that describe how data is processed, stored, and utilized in the company.
Analyse the current integration environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
Analyse technology industry and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.
Maintain a strong knowledge of multi-methodology and best practice in the areas of data modeling, data architecture, data quality and cleansing, and data integration processes.
Create architecture models that reflect our IT strategy and business priorities.
Support the Application Portfolio Management process:
Influencing portfolio planning to ensure cohesion and alignment with business and roadmaps.
Assist in reducing the complexity and total cost of ownership of the portfolio by providing architectural expertise in the assessment and selection of new or enhanced services.
Participate in the Architecture and Strategy steering group as appropriate, to ensure that solution designs complies with the overall architecture and strategy.
Assist in the delivery of objective and impartial technology and application assessments, ensuring informed decision making.
Deliver presentations and report Management.
Communicating effectively to stakeholders via meetings, presentations and reports.
Advocate best practices and principles.
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience: of IS Information Architect

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering technology management or other relevant degree.
5-10 years’ professional experience in information/data architecture.
Expert communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills – able to translate complex concepts into information that senior management and staff can understand.
Extensive experience in defining and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models, data standards, naming conventions and data flow diagrams.
Excellent knowledge in data quality and management, integration processes, databases and analytics.
Experiences in database, data warehouse, transaction processing and business intelligence infrastructure technology solutions.
A good understanding of business operations and the commercial viability and impact of technical / professional decisions on the performance of the organisation.
Driver of high standards for individual, team and organisational accomplishment and delivering desired results.
Experience in some of the following market areas: public sector, telecoms, finance, transport, energy and utilities.


Desirable:

Master’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering technology management or other relevant degree.
Knowledge of Big Data, NoSQL and Hadoop.
Experience in Utility industry, Energy Management Systems or Market Management Systems.
Industry certification in data/database architecture.
ITIL Certification.

The Role:
Our Support Function currently wish to recruit an Oracle eBs Team Lead for a permanrent . This role will
report to Application Development and Support Manager.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
•Working within the agreed SLA, lead day to day activities for the support of the Oracle eBS environment including
but not limited to:• Manage SLA Time Frames,• Managing day to day activities,• Assigning tasks,• Setting
priorities,• Coaching,• Mentoring,• Evaluating performance
•Manage SI to ensure the meet there SLA.
•Working with the project team deliver solutions in accordance with the
•Standard software development lifecycle to ensure the smooth transition from Business Analysis through to
implementation in the production environment to meet business requirements.
•Working with the IT Service desk and Operations to support IT applications including participating in DR testing,
incident management, resolution, escalation, in a timely manner and within the ITIL Framework.
•Liaise with BET and Functional team to establish, track and monitor business IT requirements. Communicate
effectively with business customers, Line manager and peers.
•Maintain high level of proficiency in appropriate modern technologies.
•Work in such a manner to develop and promote a progressive, professional and positive working environment
within the applications team.
•Working within the Application team to ensure appropriate process are implemented, in place and updated if
required.
•Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's,
objectives.

The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
•A relevant third level or similar qualification or technical experience in the relevant subject matter.
•Knowledge of ITIL process and approach is desirable.
•Detailed knowledge of the technical content required to complete the role.
•Essential 10 years experience in a similar Functional or Technical leading role
•Have a good understanding of Oracle eBS R12, Oracle eBS Technical Support including Oracle eBS Sys Admin,
BI and Interfacing.
•Have a good knowledge of Oracle Development Tools set, customisations, extension, modification and workflow.
•Confident and comfortable interacting with people in various disciplines and at various levels of an organization
•Bachelor's degree and/or college equivalent (preferred engineering, computer science or business degrees)
•Team player with ability to work on their own initiative.
•Be flexible and prepared to work in any required areas.
•Proficiency in the English language is a requirement.
•A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem solving skills.

I. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Change Management analyst is responsible for the day-to-day review, coordination, execution, distribution, verification and documentation of change requests. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years experience in an IT related discipline. Prior working knowledge of Change Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, Infrastructure Management, and an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle is a benefit. The Change Manager should be well versed in the ITIL Framework, be able to follow defined policies and procedures and be a good communicator.

II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS:
This position reports to the Global Change Management manager and is a key position within their Technology Managements Change Management group which is responsible for the daily coordination of Changes within the group of Companies

III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Actively participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
• Identifies change dependencies/conflicts for single release or application
• Strong knowledge on tracking the IT components through QA, UAT and production release.
• Experience in the development of a release plan, roll-back plan, risk management plan, communication plan, and technical assessment inquiries.
• Work with Engineering, Network Operations, Testing & QA and Program Management to schedule releases of software for test and installation
• Manage task associated with the Release Process for various release initiatives
• Ensure that all Change Management requirements are met in order to meet required regulatory requirements and standards.
• Work with various technical and release teams to define standard deployment workflows for various categories of Change.
• Assist in the support of the Asset Management function
• Be a strong oral and written communicator with peers and Senior Management.

IV. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• BS degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalency a benefit
• Recognized Computer/IT related Qualification (degree, diploma, ITIL certification, etc)
• 1-3 years experience in an IT related discipline
• Working knowledge of Change and Release Management principles, procedures, and techniques
• Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to effectively work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to meet time demands without compromising quality
• Demonstrated skills in working with Microsoft Project, Visio, and MS Office suites
• Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial technology and principles an advantage

Delivery Manager to help with the planning, organising, commissioning
and advising on IT operational activities.
The role is focused on the delivery of service to the business and covers all aspects of service delivery and also covers the management/administration of regional applications.

Duties:
• Successful service delivery - SLA achievement and high level of customer satisfaction.
• Monitoring overall performance of services.
• Service reporting and managing service delivery meetings.
• Managing day to day service operations, including 3rd party service providers.
• Taking a hands-on approach to the management of services requests and user tickets, including personal intervention on individual tickets as required.
• Monitoring and carrying out analysis on the tickets logged through the service desk, to ensure that the appropriate level of service is being delivered, delivery of service should be evaluated ‘through the eyes of the Business’
• Working with the Business Engagement/Project Management team to prioritise and establish SLA’s around tickets that are logged, and utilise the team to work pro-actively with the Business to raise the bar on the level of service provided.
• Developing processes, standards and procedures to support and optimise the delivery of ICT services and their alignment with my clients’ Operating Model.
• Managing 3rd party service contracts and the tender processes for contracts approaching renewal dates, eg, Helpdesk support, Printing, laptop repair, software licensing, end-user tools & utilities.
• Managing the procurement of IT equipment, including tenders/quotations for large user equipment purchases.
• Working with the Service Delivery team to prioritise and monitor the level of service delivered from the centre, including resource management and attendance at local sites as required. This includes resource planning and cover for annual leave and illness.
• Managing the technical project delivery resources to ensure that we are delivering projects to high standards and are meeting business expectations in terms of delivery.
• Managing the portfolio of applications and work with the Group Enterprise Architect to rationalise and reduce cost across the application portfolio.
• Ensuring that applications in use are managed appropriately and infrastructure is in place to maintain performance and availability.
• Building a personal relationship with key client staff.
• Implementing relevant policies and programmes for Service Delivery.
• Keeping up to date on best practice ICT benchmarks/technologies in the marketplace.
• Identifying and sharing best practice throughout the function.
• Monitoring latest research and trends in relevant ICT area.
• Implementing best practice and standard service levels across the discipline.
• Providing vision and strategic advice.

Specification Essential

• Experience of a Network Operations Centre (NOC) environment managing dispersed systems in a hosted environment
• Knowledge of Technical infrastructure design, application infrastructure, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Software-as a-Service, Oracle, VMWare, Web & Mobile applications, data analytics, and management dashboards.
• Experience managing networks, helpdesk teams and out of hours support.
• Strong knowledge of IT Service Management.
• Experience leading cross functional teams.
• Planning and budgeting experience.
• Infrastructure planning and development experience.
• Professional Qualification and industry certifications required- ITIL.
• Strong communication, people and relationship management skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent third level education.
• Minimum 6 years of similar ICT role experience, with minimum 2 years preferably in global multisite organisation.
• Previous experience managing transformation projects.
• Innovative and delivery focused approach is essential.

Desirable

• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Good communicator in relation to issues and opportunities – get things done, make things happen.
• Knowledge of Virtual Learning Environment and hands on experience an advantage.
• PM qualification desirable
