We require a Project Manager with a strong Data Centre and Infrastructure background.

Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple competing cross-functional projects/programs simultaneously, some on a global scale.
• Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis.
• Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
• Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs.
• Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up.
• Managing the infrastructure build-out.
• Ensure the infrastructure adheres to the requirements for availability, stability, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintains infrastructure and resource cost estimates.
• Delegate, facilitate, and integrate activities; and resolve conflicts.
• Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven Data Centre and Infrastructure experience;
• 3+ years Project Management experience;
• Experience in commercial data center, co-location environments, and/or optical transport/network environments are a plus;
• Excellent organizational skills and project tracking abilities; experience of procurement and logistics, strong focus and attention to detail; the ability to work in a very fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment, yet able to maintain high quality standards; project/task prioritization and schedule development.

This will be a 6 month contract but for the right person could move in to a permanent opportunity.

Overview of Role
The role a new Greenfiled site role and the person will be involved in setting up along with the Head of IT the System Infrastructure for a leading Multinational firm setting up in Dublin City centre. The role will involve much 3rd Party Vendor Management, SLA, RFT and Relationship Management. The role will suit someone who has come from a hands on Technical Infrastructure role who is now in a Management role who can advise on IT infrastructure and manager large 3rd party vendors. Career Knowledge of SAN/ VMWARE/ Data Centres/WAN/Security is a must and someone who keeps up to date with technology trends and changes.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head of IT by providing technical IT insight and process improvement opportunities in the development of the new IT Department
• Manage and develop relationships with strategic 3rd party vendors in an outsourced environment ensuring constant performance against objectives
• Identification and management of the implementation of new infrastructure services to support business growth
• Oversee robust delivery of infrastructure services and enhancements ensuring adherence to service levels and continual functioning of mission critical operations
• Implement technical governance procedures and participate in the architectural sign-off process with the 3rd party outsource providers
• Identify and design architectural solutions to address business needs / issues providing recommendation to the head of IT
• Develop and implement a model for service and infrastructure management that will constantly monitor, analyse, plan and operate in a manner that will drive continuous improvement
• Ensure security across all of the technical systems and software services and oversee out-sourced infrastructure ensuring it meets Group standards
• Work with the head of IT to develop capabilities within the team, ensuring that all team members have challenging personal development plans in place for current and future roles and ensure that constant development activity is undertaken
• Ensure that the companies system is compliant with shareholders' policies
Education, Experience and Skills
Education
• Likely to have a degree in business administration, information systems, computer science or related subject (Advanced degree desirable)
• Professional qualifications and industry certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Prince II, TOGAF advantageous
Experience and skills
• Significant experience in different system and technology with at least five years experience in a project/ relationship management role.
• Proven experience in project managing IT implementations from inception to delivery
• Proven track record in managing 3rd party vendors preferably in an outsourced arrangement
• Proven experience in an infrastructure solutions design / architectural role.
• Knowledge of regulatory framework pertaining to IT within international banking and leasing business nice to have
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a proven ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues
• Experienced people manager with the ability to set clear objectives and manage day to day activities of the team
• Thinks and plans strategically with an energetic and positive mind set with a desire for excellence and implementing necessary change

Role Purpose:
• To interpret and translate business priorities and strategies into IT architecture requirements, planning and decision making consistent with strategy
• Set the direction for infrastructure aspects on all current and future projects ensuring alignment with architecture standards.
• Work across all infrastructure foundations to comprehend and recommend improvements and enhancements to existing and future implementations
• To provide IT solution/architecture design, subject matter expertise, project & technical leadership within the Shared Services (SSC) team and to Divisions

Role Scope:

• Provide expert technical subject matter expertise across the breadth of technologies and solutions such as desktop, data centre, server, storage, network, database, security and any other infrastructure;
• Technical solution architecture and design;
• QA work of third parties.
• Delivery of IT projects within the SSC, and support business programmes as appropriate;

Area of Responsibility: Infrastructure Architecture:
• Development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization. Align architecture strategy with business needs. Ensure infrastructure project portfolio factored into 3 year plans
• Ensure the exploitation of IT across the enterprise is effective and efficient
• Define infrastructure architecture principles, standards, and templates
• Define infrastructure solutions and designs: overview and vision, conceptual, component and physical architectural models.
• Strategically analyse the risks, benefits, and opportunities associated with a solution. Review designs for standards and compliance

Area of Responsibility: Project Delivery
• Establish the project plan, deliverables and resources requirements, in the context of the project governance structure and project milestones.
• Ensure alignment with PMO standards during the full project lifecycle
• Manage the plan, budget and resources.

Area of Responsibility: Support Service Delivery
• Support the integration and transition of new solutions/services into live operations
• Provide subject matter expertise in support of ITIL processes when necessary (e.g. Incident, Problem and Change management)
• Provide subject matter expertise in support of IT Security and controls

Essential Qualifications:
• Third Level IT or Engineering Qualification
• Experienced in Service Management and ITIL processes
• Expansive Experience of systems management in a 24 x 7 highly available environment, including ITIL best practices;
• Project lead experience;
• Technical leadership role in delivering IT systems and solutions across a wide variety of infrastructure areas such as Desktop, Data Centre, Networks, Servers, Storage, Databases, IT Security;
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF), standards and principles

Desirable skills:
• Experience of working in an IT Infrastructure shared Services Environment
• Database and Systems Concepts and Internetworking
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions;
• UNIX, Wintel SAN storage Architecture and Administration

A leading retailer based in Dublin, with operations in Ireland and the UK, is seeking an experienced Service Desk analyst.
This important role ensures and maintains the highest levels of client satisfaction for it’s retail and corporate users. You will also create support documentation and assist in the definition, establishment and implementation of standards, policies, SLAs and work flow procedures for the effective operation of the Service Desk.
You will also ensure all technical issues are quickly resolved, oversee appropriate follow up, and make certain that issues are passed off from shift to shift as well as oversee the service performed by 3rd party vendors.
The goal is to make sure that customer value is maintained to the highest standards set forth by the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical support for (point of sales) POS systems and other retail applications
• Provide technical support to internal employees at Corporate Head Office.
• Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support internally or to external partners
• Walk customers through problem solving process
• Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
• Training users on all aspects of the software/Stock Audits/Operations
• Work pro-actively and efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
This position requires strong problem solving skills. This person should be detail oriented and have strong customer service skills.
REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years work experience in an enterprise level support environment.
• Experience with multi-unit retail or POS applications, distributed application support, receipt printers, EFT hardware and retail help desk support.
• ITIL knowledge and experience a distinct advantage
• Excellent sense of urgency and timeliness of client needs
• Ability to effectively work directly with Application Development, Infrastructure, Operations, Marketing, distribution, Customer care and other internal and external resources on a technical level to provide service functions to our internal and external customers.
• Background in a wide variety of technical disciplines: Hardware and software development, system/application administration, technical support and basic networking.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction and exercise strong initiative, judgment and confidentiality
• A proactive attitude towards problem identification and resolution

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Delivery oversight & supplier management
• Assures day-to-day service delivery from the supplier
• Oversees the operational change management process executed by the supplier by participating in the change advisory board meeting and by negotiating business sign-off.
• Proactively manages supplier performance against agreed service levels
• Ensures root cause analysis of incidents is performed and agreed remediation actions are implemented by the supplier
• In close collaboration with the supplier, proactively drives service improvements

Technical delivery:
• May be called upon to participate in major incident/outage calls at any time of day or night
• Works with retained teams in the various countries to ensure delivery of the locally provided services is in alignment with the Group
• Provides expert guidance and support to the retained countries and facilitates communications with other teams as necessary
• Provide expertise on specific IT responsibilities contributing to projects, service enhancements, new services and commercials
