Software QA Test Lead / Test Manager
The Role and Responsibility
My client requires a hands-on QA Test Lead / Manager to join our product and campaign development team at our Dublin City Centre office.
The successful candidate will assist the Technical Development and Operations teams to plan, manage, direct and support software QA testing activities of both back-end systems and front-end user-interfaces.
Implement best testing practice to build a robust QA testing function, including test automation
Create and manage testing project plan and testing schedules for new builds and maintenance releases, including regression testing
Liaises with stakeholders (Business users, developers, IT Ops etc )to define and document test approaches
Manage a small test team of 2 testers to execute testing of back-end and front-end systems including overseeing test preparation, test coverage, accurate reporting and ensuring defects are raised with sufficient information etc
Report accurately on testing progress, and status of issues
Work closely with Development managers and team to help troubleshoot and fix problems
Pragmatically prioritise issues and follow up to ensure resolutions
Works with other teams on integration and end-to-end testing
The ideal candidate will have several of the following additional skills and/or experience
Experience of testing both on large-scale IT projects and in smaller projects/teams
Experience of setting up a test function with little assistance
Good knowledge of automation tools an advantage [JMeter, Selenium]
Experience of agile development methodologies
Some technical knowledge of java spring framework, webservices and software deployment
Experience of mentoring junior team members
Education and work experience:
A bachelor's degree in a Technical/Maths/science discipline with a 2:1 grade or higher

Execute test cases, results analysis, raise bug report and regress all resolved bugs.
Quality assurance of customer functionality, system performance, failover/stress testing and operational/error reporting.
Liaise with business (product managers and customer support) and development team to identify test requirements. Take part in review of requirement documentation and make sure that it is brought to satisfactory level by its originators.
Manage QA test environments including DB test data and multiple versions of software releases.
Knowledge and extensive experience of automation testing, web applications UI and web services functionality.
Strong experience of automation test tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Green Hat and scripting languages.
Knowledge of application stress, load and performance testing.
Experience of testing DB application.
