Description: My Dublin based client currently requires a Senior Java UI Developer to be part of the team with strong Java UI experience as well as having proven ability in how to approach, design and build enterprise-level solutions.

My client is looking for a candidate with strong background in JavaScript / CSS / MVC / JSP / Struts in order to develop front-end web/mobile applications. Also need the successful candidate needs to be comfortable working in an Agile development environment with short term deliverables as well as in a traditional Waterfall project model.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop core and functional enhancements for SPE UI, including introduction of new technologies and best practices
• Lead the UI development team
Skills:
• 4-6 years of experience in JavaScript / CSS / MVC technologies (AngularJS, Backbone, Bootstrap).
• Well versed with design standards and frameworks.
• Experience in working on multiple technologies.
• Quick learner of new tools and technologies.
• Technologies Required - Javascript, CSS, MVC (AngularJS, Backbone), UI frameworks (Bootstrap), RESTful WebServices, Ajax, XML, Application Servers (Websphere/Weblogic), JSP, Struts, RDMBS – Oracle/DB2.
• Methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, Test Driven Development.
• Tools – Grunt, Bower, Eclipse and automated testing tools like JUnit, Jasmine, Cucumber / Gherkins
• Excellent project management, time management, verbal and written communications skills, as the job entails simultaneously managing multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of SQL in the context of a major RDBMS such as DB2, UDB, Oracle.
• Experienced with XML (including schemas)
• Proactive attitude, ability to run projects with minimal direction given the geographically distributed nature of the team.
• Experience of successfully developing software involving JavaScript and related technologies
• Experience in working within an onshore/offshore delivery model
• Flexibility to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Working closely with Business Analysts, Product Management, R&D agile teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure UI and UX is a key part of the product roadmap deliverables.
The UI / UX Developer will own and drive UI and UX best practice in the product roadmap deliverables.
The UI/UX developer needs to be hands on using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
Main Responsibilities:
• Prototyping new versions of the product
• Help create and maintain UX/UI strategy
• Develop production-quality frontend code
• Strong knowledge and experience in responsive design
• Experience in Front-end web design with a focus on user experience and usability
• Developing documentation and style guides for developers
• Work with UI designers to create concepts to test ideas
• Must ensure that UX/UI continues to be fully embedded in the agile development process
• Work with BA’s and internal teams to ensure that features are being developed and supported with wireframes and other visuals.
• Guide, mentor and coach business analysts & developers to improve usability methods.
• Keeping up-to-date with legal requirements, standards, guidelines and professional good practice relating to UI design, accessibility, usability testing and usability research

Experience:
• Must be highly proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery

• Proven history of progressing product designs from initial concept, through architecture, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to finished product.
• A comprehensive online portfolio that illustrates design processes and execution of concepts across platforms.

•Experience working in a software product development environment is strongly preferred

Description: Technical Project Manager to work within the PMO and take responsibility for the entire project delivery from customer requirements to transition to the support team.
The Technical Project Manager must have the ability to manage a number of projects concurrently to a very high standard and exhibit a commercial awareness; having a very clear focus towards customer delivery, but be adept at managing changing priorities and requirements.
The role involves project managing the development and deployment of software solutions including managing a team of software developers across multiple locations. Controlling the deliverables from the various teams, and taking responsibility for the quality of the delivery. Managing both the schedule and budget and in some instances interfacing directly with the customer.

Principle responsibilities
• Take responsibility for all aspects of the solution delivery.
• Interfacing with Product Management and Sales on commercial items.
• Interfacing with the Engineering development team and 3rd party developers.
• Adherence to the PMO product development process.
• Preparing and driving schedules through to a successful conclusion.
• Exhibiting a strong ‘can do’ attitude to keeping the project on track in spite of issues.
• Monitor and clearly report on a regular basis to clients, business unit management and internal PMO on project progress in respective of all variables.
• Represent stakeholders at key project meetings with the client when required.
• Managing project teams of different sizes across multiple locations.
• Travel required within EMEA (10-20%).


Required Skills
• 6+ years of industry experience in a project management or team lead capacity within a software development environment.
• Prior experience as a software engineer with a working knowledge of Java.
• Experience with IP-based networking protocols and standards.
• Experience of virtualization technologies and applications.
• Experience of development methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban)
• Prior experience of successfully working in an Agile development environment preferable.
• Used to working under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: relationship building, negotiation and collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skills set and levels of experience
• Proven track record of delivering complex products to multiple customers.
• Experience working with a PMO and contributing to the development of the supporting processes and procedures and in-house methodologies.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for effective dialogue both with team colleagues and customers.
• Educated to degree level in a technical discipline (required) and formal project management qualification (preferred).
• Language: fluency in German (preferred)
