The role will involve managing a small team (4 in the team) of Support Engineers who support 30,000 licence users throughout the EMEA region. The team deals with all customer technical support queries and product support issues for the company. The company is a Cloud based Software firm based in Dublin city centre beside trinity College in Dublin City Centre.
IT Support Services Manager is wanted to manage the operation of my clients European IT Support Services team while also working closely within a global IT Function to ensure the provision of an excellent and efficient IT Support Services function.
Responsibilities - Technical Support Team Leader
Coordinate the delivery of IT Support Services inline with Local, Regional and Global priorities.
Assign and manage tasks within the European IT Support Services team and global support teams.
Provide leadership and motivation within the Support Services Team.
Perform a coordinator role for the IT Support Services Team, including agreeing objectives, generating training plans, coaching team members, carrying out performance appraisals and coordinating holidays and other types of leave.
Work closely with the various IT Teams including the Infrastructure and Application Development teams
Formal computer science or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 5 -10 years all-round IT Technical Support experience i.e. Linux, RDBMS, some knowledge of programming languages and some exposure to software products and releases etc
Strong proven people management/ team Lead skills with a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a management role/ Team lead role
Proven ability to lead and motivate a group of technical staff.
Strong technical understanding of Software, Cloud technologies, data Analytics
Experience of managing a small group of Technical Support Engineer
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and follow up promptly on relevant issues.
Excellent customer satisfaction and customer relationship skills

We are currently looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our technical team. The network supports telco-grade voice and data over redundant sites, utilising various high availability technologies to ensure availability for mission critical services.

This will be a great opportunity to develop your skills further with potential access to a wide range of technologies, from servers to IP routing, security, enterprise storage, Telco grade voice switches, cloud computing and other virtualisation technologies.

The organisation
My client is a leading Interactive Media and Entertainment Company. We are a market leader with extensive experience in developing and hosting leading edge interactive media applications which are used by some of Ireland’s leading brands.

• Day-to-day operations and maintenance of Linux network
• All OS configuration, maintenance and updates
• Develop and maintain scripts for systems automation
• Monitor and maintain high availability systems
• Manage and report on service and systems availability
• Investigating issues and problems, working through to resolution
• Suggest and design upgrades and improvements to the systems
• Document all planning, processes and procedures

Skills and requirements:
Debian, RedHat, Nagios, LEMP / LAMP, AWS, TCP/IP, good documentation and communication skills
• A Degree or relevant Certification in computing or a related discipline
• A minimum of five years’ experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
• Excellent experience and knowledge of Linux high availability/failover systems
• Experience with Nagios monitoring and configuration
• Detailed understanding of Apache and Nginx including virtual hosts config and secure SSL configuration
• Excellent MySQL configuration, including multi-master, master-slave and multisource replication
• Working knowledge of NoSQL especially MongoDB
• Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking, applications, routing, VPN and firewalling
• Strong scripting skills (Bash and Perl)
• Experience with automation tools like puppet and auto scaling
• Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• Demonstrate and ability to prioritise and handle a diverse workload

The ESB Middleware Administrator is responsible for deplying and supporting middleware applications using Tibco and IBM WebSphere MQ/application server products. The ideal candidate will have seven or more years of experience with middleware administration in a financial services organizations.

This position reports to the Manager of WebSphere Administration.

• Deploy, Administer, Support and maintain middleware applications to enable communication between financial applications on diverse platforms with varying interfaces.
• Responsible for the installation, maintenance and configuration of Tibco, IBM WebSphere MQSeries , Websphere Message Broker, and J2EE Application Server technologies.
• Assess and identify appropriate changes and make recommendations for implementation.
• Perform Tibco ESB system administration,troubleshooting, monitoring, problem resolution, system security and change implementation.
• Work individually or in a team on various system projects related to UNIX, Linux, Windows and Application support.
• Plan, prepare and apply maintenance fixes and upgrades to Webshere software.
• Assist application support team with high level problem program debugging through heap and thread dump analysis.
• Provide system support including off shift on call support as and when required. Increase staff skill levels by cross training.

• 5+ years TibcoESB, Tibco BPM, Tibco Hawk, Tibco IBM WebSphere Message Broker, Message Queing, Application Server, Enterprise Content Manager and Tomcat
• 5+ years’ experience of the full software development lifecycle.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Java and JMS a plus.
• Should have strong UNIX/Linux operating system administration experience
• Certification / Training in Tibco Suite a plus.
• Experience with installation, configuration and administration of Tibco Enterprise Service Bus mandatory.
• Able to setup security for WebShere MQ queues and other objects for data access and for administration using role based security.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Must have quality team building skills, positive attitude, detail oriented, self motivated and strong project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities that continually change.
• On call or remote support through regular rotation.
