My South Dublin based client currently requires an experienced PHP Developer to join their expanding team in an excellent company.

PHP Developer Job Description:
The ideal person will have at least four year's experience developing web-based applications using PHP/MySQL. Our core development is in PHP but ideally your skills should also extend to having other strong programming capability e.g. Javascript and Ajax, coupled with substantial appreciation for OOAD.

You should feel comfortable getting to grips with large systems quickly and have strong analytical skills. You should also be capable of taking responsibility and ownership of tasks and developing systems/components to tight deadlines and to high quality. You should have excellent communications skills, be comfortable with changing business requirements and have a great ability to interact with and understand a user’s requirements.

You should be a very energetic, team player, that knows how to produce very good documentation and appreciates its value but most importantly of all, you should love to code.

PHP Developer Skill Set:
Requirements:
• 4 + years experience in PHP development
• Experience in Zend Framework or other MVC framework essential
• Experience in MySQL
• Familiarity with Doctrine, Propel, Active Record, DAO, or other ORM framework
• Experience with SOAP and ReST web services
• Knowledge of unit testing

Excellent client looking Linux Systems Engineer with a proven record of working in a 24X7 environment. The Linux Systems Engineer will form part of an operational team that is responsible for the day to day care and maintenance of all computing environments. This includes responsibility for the maintenance of hardware, local area networks, wide area networks, operating systems and applications. This is a technical post ideally requiring prior experience in operating a 24x7x365 enterprise environment.
Job Description:

The candidate is expected to have a high level of technical proficiency in most technologies commonly found in the enterprise environment. It is not required that candidates have prior experience in the administration of the following specific solutions but preference is given to those with experience in a number of areas:
• Linux systems (Suse Linux or Red Hat)

• Microsoft Windows systems (2003 and 2008)

• Web Servers including IIS, Apache and Apache Tomcat
• VMWare – VSphere 4
• Network and application monitoring systems – Nagios, Op Manager, Hyperic, etc.
