Description: My Dublin based client currently requires an experienced Software QA Analyst with Vendor Management experience and some location experience to join their existing team in a permanent role.
Software QA Key Aspects of the Role:
In the Engineering Services team, you will provide cross-product leadership for User Design, Information Development, Internationalization and Localization. The client brings common development tools, practices, automation and education in these areas of core competency, enabling a consistent framework for product development teams.
Software QA Key Duties:
• Managing a team of QA resources in an off-shore location to ensure work is carried out to the highest quality and within schedule
• Plan and direct testing Strategy using existing QA and localization knowledge and via investigation and research with development teams mainly located in the US
• Development of test plans and test cases from product requirements documents and technical specs
• Perform QA activities on projects as needed
• Providing technical product support to the QA team
• Run more than one project simultaneously in a cost effective manner
• Working with the QA Manager you will be involved in defining schedules and project costs of each product release
• Provide regular status reports to you’re the QA Manager
• Working closely with all functional groups including Project Managers / Engineering and UAC
• Liaising with colleagues on a global scale to ensure collaboration of project information
• Directly involved in working on key initiatives with the group to order to improve process and efficiency.
• Mentor & provide guidance to SQA Analysts
The client is looking for someone with the ability to bring new and creative ideas to the table in order to increase efficiency and quality within the group

The Successful Candidate
Solid experience as QA analyst, with some localization experience essential
Must have experience within a project lead role managing projects and resources
Familiarity with formal QA processes and QA tools
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Experience dealing with vendors in off-shore locations
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Ability to work on own initiative

The following skills / experience would be advantageous:

Experience in QA automation
Competent in Perl scripting
Experience in Mobile device types Symbian, blackberry, iOS and Android

A BA/BS in Computer science or Technical equivalent desired
