Description: Excellent new position for a Domino Specialist based in the City Centre.
The Domino Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and developing a Notes environment to support the business requirements of the company .
Suitable candidates should have the following skills and experience:.
Knowledge.
•In depth knowledge of Notes R5 and R6.
•Notes administration certifications are essential.
•Knowledge of LAN, WAN and operating systems (preferable Windows or I-Series).
•Knowledge of ITIL processes would be a distinct advantage.

Skills
•Analytical capabilities.
•Good communication skills with countries.
•Experience in a multinational and multi cultural organization.
•Team Player

Education and Experience.
•Minimum of 2-5 years ICT experience in a Domino environment.

Key Responsibilities:
•Install and maintain (shadow) systems, to ensure availability, reliability and conformance towards the SLA of the systems and back-up system..
•Check and control the mail system, check speed and available disk space and re-arrange disk space or add hard ware and maintain the Notes environment to ensure the serviceability, performance and speed.
•Develop and maintain procedures (automated), tools and techniques, in order to maintain Notes in a reliable and efficient way and within the parameters of the SLA.
•On Notes level ensure a secure environment, as well as take the appropriate security measurements, to protect data from loss and or corruption.
•When adjustments and changes are needed, or new releases need to be implemented, make sure Notes will work optimal, whilst adhering to maintenance windows and change management process.
•Perform incident management by solving individual problems of end users, to maximize client satisfaction.
•Manage the analysis and problem solving activity according to the ITIL procedures defined and in use.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Delivery of both business related and infrastructure projects to specification, within budget and to agreed timescales.
- Problem resolution in the mail environment – responding to escalations from 2 nd level support units, including addressing complex user issues, services outages.
- Change facilitation implementation of both business & infrastructure driven change requests.
- Full Mail systems management, capacity planning and monitoring.
- Security Administration and Monitoring – vulnerability assessment and patch release/rollout.
- Design and implementation of business continuity plans for the mail environment.
- Management of Domino services according to agreed processes and standards – including Intranet, IPT Voicemail, and Notes Application environment.
The ideal candidate must have the following attributes;
- Proven track record in Lotus Domino infrastructure design, implementation & migration and support in a corporate environment (Domino 6, 7 and 8 (pre-req))
- Senior Technical Support Specialist with 4+ years dedicated experience supporting and implementing Lotus Domino mail solutions. (Current Application Technology)
- Suitable Technical qualifications (ideally to degree level).
- Positive work attitude - enthusiastic and self-motivated & strong workload management skills.
- Must enjoy working closely with customers, problem solving, and be willing to take responsibility for support issues within a team environment.
- Evidence of decision making capabilities based on technical expertise.
- Strong proven capability to effectively self manage project activities, documentation, roles & responsibilities, process flows etc.
- A strong proven record in delivering a professional customer service attitude is essential.
- Sharing technical knowledge / expertise with less experienced team members.

Diploma or equivalent in computer science or other related technical degree
Strong experience in Microsoft desktop and server technologies and IBM Lotus Notes
Strong hardware experience, covering servers, desktops, network switches, telephony systems and including virtualisation
Managing a comms room, e.g. power, cooling and rack configuration
Strong experience in anti-virus technologies
Telephony knowledge, primarily in Avaya VoIP technologies.
Working knowledge of LAN, WAN and underlying networking technologies
