Requirements for Field Service Engineer:

• 3rd level degree in computer Science
• Excellent knowledge of IEEE Routing, Switching & Wireless Technology standards

Main duties of the role will include for Field Service Engineer:

The position is primarily a customer facing hands-on role configuring and implementing routers, switches and wireless infrastructures. The successful candidate will also provide support for our clients, through onsite and consultancy support as well as remote diagnostics / assistance and in house pre-sales support for our energetic sales team.

Ireland's leading IT Management company is currently recruiting for an experienced Level 2 Service Engineer. This position is due to expansion and the successful candidate will be responsible for clients based in and around the Dublin west area


Requirements for Field Service Engineer:

• Possess an understanding of core internet technologies – TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, mail transport, NFS
• Strong knowledge of Windows services such as: Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, SQL, and MS
• Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013
• installation & trouble-shooting of Windows Server 2008/2012 & Windows Small Business Server
• 2003/2008/2011
• Strong understanding of Virtual environments (VMware)
• Strong understanding of SAN Storage systems ( EMC, Dell)
• Support and resolve issues related to Server Hardware, Networking, Active Directory, DNS, E-Mail,
• Virtual Machines, and Storage Area Networks.
• Skilled in network and security devices such as: Cisco, Fortinet & Juniper
• Skilled in networking concepts such as: Routing, L2 & L3 switching, VPN
• Experience of Office 365 installation, roll-out and management

Main duties of the role will include for Field Service Engineer:

• Onsite troubleshooting of clients IT Infrastructure
• IT Project Implementations such as Virtualization, Network Infrastructure etc..

Junior Network Engineer Key Aspects of the role:
My client is looking for an energetic first line helpdesk engineer who is looking to fast track their career in IT. They offer a great place to work and a focussed environment in which you will be expected to develop your skills (Microsoft, Fortinet, ShadowProtect) through their structured training programme. In reward for your hard work they offer a set of fast track salary reviews that are commensurate with your performance industry certifications. You will work as part of team both on help desk and in deployment scenarios as your skills develop.

Responsibilities – You will work as part of a helpdesk team and after a period of initial training your responsibilities will include:
• Logging first line requests and incidents – received via phone, email and in-person - into the Service Management system.
• Ensure that the highest standards of Customer Focus are demonstrated at all times.
• Ensuring that all clients – both internal and external are dealt with in a friendly, efficient and timely manner.
• Responsible for frontline Incident & Problem management – ensuring that all incidents are resolved in a timely manner or escalated to appropriate engineer level support.
• Responsible for contributing to project-based activity – time-permitting.
• Ensure that established procedures and controls are adhered to at all times. Also responsible for highlighting if / when procedures or controls have changed so that documentation can be updated. In short – be well organised.
• Full understanding of the Service Level Agreements (SLA) in place with our customers. Also, to ensure that these SLA’s are adhered to as far as is possible and that all exceptions are escalated to Service Desk Management.

Personal Traits:
• Demonstrate high levels of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, ensuring that all interactions with customers, co-workers and management are done in a friendly and courteous manner.

• Strong customer focus with the ability to record, resolve and/or escalate Service Related queries – both within the customers and also directly with Vendors - and ensure that all customer related issues/queries are managed to resolution within agreed customer SLA timeframes.

• Must have 1-2 years prior Network Support and helpdesk experience, with 1 years experience in On-Site Server Installations and Trouble-Shooting of Networking Issues

Education & Qualifications:
3rd Level Diploma/Degree.
MCP, MCSA or MSCE in Microsoft technologies or equivalent.
