Job Description
As an application support developer you will be required to support existing applications deployed on customer sites.

The applications are written in C# and Visual Basic and the successful candidate would need strong experience in Microsoft technologies.

Key responsibilities would include:
• Liaising with the customer to help identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the system
• Provide analysis and support to the customer to help define and provide estimates for any enhancements to the system
• Be responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing and delivery of change request to the applications.
• Maintenance and support of the development and testing environments.

Education and Experience

Required:
• At least 3 years experience with C#, ASP .NET, SQL Server, Biztalk
• Experience in VB6/VBA;
• Good knowledge/experience in the software development process;
• Good understanding in database relational design;
• Good understanding of Microsoft Reporting Services.
• Strong experience with MS SQL Server design and development;
• Experience with both smart clients and Browser application development;
• Knowledge in MS SQL Server Reporting Services;
• Ability to work within a team, or independently when required;
• Good written and verbal communication;
• Familiar with Microsoft system software (Windows Server, IIS) to be able to administrate and diagnose support issues

Preferred:
• Third level certification in computer related discipline;
• MCP Certification in one or more of the following would be an advantage:
• MS SQL Server 2005;
• MS .NET Framework;
• MS Visual Basic 6.0;
• MS Biztalk 2006;
• MS Sharepoint 2007.

Description: .Net Web developer required for Permanent role based in Cork with a Top Financial Services Company.

The Person

Description: My Dublin City Centre based client currently requires 2 experienced SQL Server DBA's (One Perm and One Daily Rate Contract) for an in-house role in the office in Dublin City Centre.


The successful candidates will possess the following skills:

• Database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, high-availability strategies with MS SQL Server 2005/2008 in a production environment
• Working in a very high volume financial transaction processing environment with critical focus on OLTP performance.
• Administering, maintaining and developing policies and procedures for ensuring the performance, availability, security and integrity of the company's databases and systems
• Database replication, partitioning and mirroring.
• Proactively monitoring production databases and sp execution for optimum performance. Resolve locking conflicts/blocking and resource utilization

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong experience on SAN configuration and management, i/o monitoring etc.
• Strong experience in database performance optimisation
• Strong process orientation
• Must have solid understanding of Windows 2003/2008 clustering and RDBMS storage optimization
• Must be able to operate in fast paced very high volume transaction processing environment
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Management and SSIS tool
• Must have experience with SQL clustering, SQL replication, hardware replication, and/or disaster recovery implementations
• Certifications in specific technologies preferred

Description: MIS Analyst (Sql Server)

Overview:
My client is looking for an MIS Analyst (Sql Server) who has a good level of Sql Server and Reporting skills. The client is based just off the M50 and are beside the Red Luas Line.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:
• Report generation - Microsoft SQL server (2008 R2).
• Support, configuration, and monitoring of windows based technologies (Server 2003, 2008).
• Network monitoring and software applications.
• Field Technical Support - Troubleshoot queries in relation to handheld devices, PCs, Microsoft Office, Call Collect Wizards, Call Collect Web & Call Collect Reporting Suite from field & office staff.
Requirements
• IT qualification or similar
• Working knowledge of Sequel Server 2008
• Ability to write SQL queries
