IT Data Analyst Key Aspects of the Role:
As part of the IT team you will be primarily responsible for creating and supporting bespoke data reports and data feeds across a number of SQL databases. You will provide a high level of expertise in the area of reporting solutions and to ensure all current and future reporting requirements are met and exceeded. Additionally you will be responsible for operating data extract/imports in support of operational production systems.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Supports all data analysis and bespoke data extract processing for business operations.
• Analyse operational data sources and define common data stores for accurate real time reporting across the business.
• Design, test, develop and support operational reporting systems.
• Evaluate reporting requirements on an on-going basis to identify and implement key improvements.
• Provide timely and accurate information, answering the ad-hoc queries for business users.
• Work closely with the IT teams designing, improving and enhancing corporate data.
• Operates extract/import processing to support the weekly data processing cycles.

Your Profile:
• A degree in computer science from a recognised University or Technical College
• Excellent technical skills in writing complex SQL,
• Skilled in database tools with experience of MS SRS, SQL2010, MySQl.
• Will have minimum 3 yrs experience in data analyst role and will be able to describe complex areas where you have supported/developed SQL based data solutions.
• Excellence in delivery of data analysis is skilled in dealing with complex data and defining clear data specifications.
• You will have excellent verbal and written reporting skills.

My client based in South Dublin is looking for a Junior MySQL DBA for a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to kickstart their career in a challenging position.
Role Overview
The successful applicant will join a very busy organisation and will become a critical member of the businesss team. The successful applicant will join a team of Linux System Admins and Network Engineers

Candidates will have a familiarity with Linux OS, and be able to demonstrate MySQL experience or a working SQL knowledge. Ideally candidates will have some experience of server admin, but it is key candidates are able to pay attention to detail.

The successful applicant will be heavily involved in day to day maintenance of critical databases. The challenge is to configure the servers depending on load to perform well and deliver a service to customers. At the same time server maintenance and day to day administration tasks need to be performed to keep the machines running without disrupting the service.
