Experience with Active Directory Domain environment

Design technical and functional specs for the LAN/WAN and related IP networks.
Oversee implementation of changes to network configurations and equipment as well as new networks
Manage 3rd party providers of network services in accordance with agreed specs
Maintain security policies for all aspects of the IT infrastructure
Define and implement new security policies as required in accordance with industry best practice
Ensure IT Security compliance is observed
Regulate and report IT Security compliance levels by end users, systems and network administrators, and all personnel employed to carry out work on IT infrastructure
Provide operational reporting as required on the areas of LAN/WAN, related IP networks and IT Security.
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
o 35 years IP network and IT security experience.
o Experience with Network Management Systems and Syslog monitoring
o SIP Based Telephony experience
o Comprehensive knowledge of IT Security industry best practices and standards.
o Implementation and maintenance of IT Security policies and standards in accordance with industry best practices
o A good understanding of data protection legislation.
o Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
o Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage:
o IP routing protocols such as SIP and XDSL
o Ethernet and spanning tree protocol
o Frame Relay, MPLS, VPNs and other Wan protocols
o Network security experience
o Dell infrastructure network configuration experience.
