Provide a first, and single, point of contact to users of IT systems through a variety of media
Logging of all incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant information is obtained and recorded on incident logging software
Provide problem diagnosis, using appropriate support tools for hardware, software & in-house applications. Assign calls to second line support teams where appropriate
Ensuring that all cases owned by the Service Desk are resolved in accordance with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Deliver outstanding customer service standards by answering all calls promptly, remaining courteous and professional at all times
Ensure processes, procedures and resolutions are documented and updated regularly on the Service Desk knowledge base
Any other duties deemed required as part of the day to day role
The successful candidate will have:
Third level Qualification in IT or related discipline ideally to degree level
6 to 18 months experience of working in a Helpdesk/ Service Desk or support environment
Excellent understanding of Desktop Operating Systems (Win XP and Win 7)
Excellent understanding of MS Office Products
Citrix & Microsoft Active Directory administration skills
Ability to support and communicate with users on all levels
Excellent Interpersonal skills

Skills & Experience Required:
Proven Data Centre and Infrastructure experience;
3+ years Project Management experience;
Experience in commercial data center, co-location environments, and/or optical transport/network environments are a plus;
Excellent organizational skills and project tracking abilities; experience of procurement and logistics, strong focus and attention to detail; the ability to work in a very fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment, yet able to maintain high quality standards; project/task prioritization and schedule development.
This will be a 6 month contract but for the right person could move in to a permanent opportunity.

Responsible for administering the Citrix Systems Infrastructure (servers, gateways, load balancers, virtual appliances, services and monitoring systems) so that the systems operates successfully and reliably and performs and is available within its agreed Service Level Agreements.
Works with departmental team(s) to formulate, schedule, and complete System improvement/enhancement projects.
Installs and configures Citrix Systems Infrastructure components (i.e. servers, gateways, load balancers, virtual appliances and services) for maximum utilization of company information and system resources.
Monitors Citrix Systems resource usage such as CPU, Disk capacity, I/O and provides monthly capacity reports on usage trends and peaks.
Provides first line support for resolving problems with Citrix Systems Infrastructure and liaises with Vendors with respect to fault analysis and escalation.
Secure the Citrix Systems & Infrastructure from unauthorized access in line with GTS Security Standards and Policies and monitors system logs for any attempted breach of the systems access controls and/or rules.
