Responsibilities
• Extract and review daily reports of trading performance identifying, investigating and resolving any execution, clearing or settlement anomalies.
• Utilise reporting systems to generate ad-hoc and structured management information for clients, traders, marketing, operations and management.
• Extract, manipulate and analyse data from the companies systems in order to write reports supporting management requirements.
• Provide technical and other support to the Finance function including automation of manual processes
• Assist in the design development and implementation of financial systems, procedures, controls and reports constant with industry best practice
• Ensure strong business knowledge and relationships with colleagues so as to ensure Finance provides proactive and responsive service to the business
Requirements
• IT graduate with excellent academic record (2.1 Hons Degree or better) – or Business graduate with IT major
• Experience of financial services (analytical role) an advantage
• Experience of accounting added advantage but not prerequisite
• Excellent application skills, in particular Excel, Word, Access and SQL Server
• Excellent skills of Financial Modelling in Excel, Access, Database construction and querying (SQL)
• Programming exposure in .net nice to have
• Previous experience in an MIS position
• Any experience with GL systems (Sun/JD Edwards/Hyperion) and Financial Data Warehouses an advantage
• Excellent analytical skills
