Description: My client is looking for an experienced Java / J2EE Engineer to join their existing team where they can be based at either their Dublin office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a progressive company.

Duties:
• Analyse requirements and design software solutions
• Support the creation of functioning code
• Assess project risks
• Support the team’s testing effort
• Actively contribute during brainstorming sessions

Requirements:
• Solid Java / J2EE development experience with exposure to JBoss, Hibernate
• Strong knowledge of UML
• JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, etc
• Experience of the following; Object Oriented Analysis, Object Oriented Design, Agile Methodology
• Real-time development experience an advantage
• Good data analysis skills also an advantageous
• Excellent communications skills
• Ideally 5+ years experience
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent

Responsibilities
Develop excellent software solutions in a dynamic, innovative company
Code in a combination of C++/MFC and C#/WinForms

Web-services and database experience

GUI design and implementation experience

Development experience on Windows platform

Work closely with Quality Assurance creating test scripts for developed functionality

Work closely with Support to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into products

Be proactive in suggesting enhancements to my clients products and processes


Experience
One to two years post graduate experience is desirable for this role. KNowledge of OOD experience a bonus. Excellent quality graduates may be considered
