Skills and Experience
5+ years on PL/SQL experience is essential

Responsibilities
Developing, testing and implementing software programs for new and existing systems, to pre-agreed deadlines
Adhering to all project development methodologies and standards
Analysing software and process components as part of a larger project
Delivering assignments to agreed quality and development standards and procedures defined in the IT development unit
Participating in design and code reviews
Performing production support tasks on a Rota basis
Contributing to the planning activities involved in estimating project delivery, including impact analysis, scoping of new projects and estimating project development tasks
Building and deploying enterprise applications, including back-end sections of the solution
Assisting in the testing of the overall system solution
Assisting in the implementation of projects into the production environment

Requirements
A third level IT qualification with an emphasis on programming with a strong potential to develop analytical / design skills in the future.
Recent experience in programming as part of a project (college project or work project)
A sound knowledge of software engineering principles and theory
A natural interest in technology
Strong communication skills - effective verbal and written communication skills of both technical and business nature
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to deal with business clients, while focusing on the customer needs
An ability to solve complex problems and make decisions as appropriate
An ability to plan and organise themselves and others, consistently delivering to deadlines
A strong technical acumen and problem solving skills
An ability to learn and understand complex business and IT systems and processes
An inquisitive nature to query other team members/IT areas on specific technology or business issues in order to build up their own knowledge

Description: My Dublin based client currently requires a Junior Solutions Analyst to work with business, technology and operational partners to understand requirements and translate these into functional solutions

The successful candidate will ensuring that the requirements are fully understood and documented, the data and technical design are fit for purpose and issues are analysed and addressed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Production of functional requirements documents, data mapping documents, maintaining end-to-end requirements traceability, and reviewing the test plan and cases as required.
Gather business requirements - working with stakeholders to analyse the information and ensure requirements are fully understood
Analyse existing data flows across a number of branches and processes in GIW
Create clear and transparent documentation on existing data flows and determine gaps in solution that may impact requirements, also capturing any branch specific or customised logic
Ensure data standards are adhered to and that overall solutions proposed meet requirements and where possible are generic.
Co-ordinate and review impact analysis to ensure all risks are mitigated.
Support testing cycles (QC and UAT), this includes providing the teams with project documentation, reviewing and approval of all QC documentation, defect remediation and support of UAT and business partner test cycles.
Support and ensure handover of new/modified processes to the Operational teams.
Answer ad-hoc queries on existing GIW processes.
Ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and all issues and risks are communicated to the program as appropriate.
Ensure IMASS design and control standards are adhered to and managing any open design issues to resolution.

Essential:
Extensive years in a technology and/or business roles
Knowledge/previous experience of PL/SQL and Relational Databases (preferably Oracle or MS SQL Server)
Knowledge/previous experience Visio/Process Mapping and Data Mapping.
Familiarity with waterfall SDLC
Ability to prioritise own work, manage a team and multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Outstanding interpersonal effectiveness; strong communication skills both verbal and written
Commitment to a cooperative team approach a team player

Skills:

Creative, analytical and investigative skills
Specification writing (technical and business)
Strong data skills; understanding of data modelling, data management and governance disciplines
Ability to create and maintain good relationships at all levels within the organisation
