Description: SENIOR SECURITY SUPPORT ANALYST

Security Analyst

You will be the 3rd level escalation specialist within a small team of security specialists offering telephone and remote support to clients. You will be responsible for providing technical support on various client systems such as firewalls, URL filtering, Anti-Virus, load balancing and authentication systems.

You will be required to provide detailed and accurate guidance on issue resolution to the supported customer base. You will need to effectively interact with other members of the team to provide solutions to technical issues and mentor other staff members.

You will be required to work as part of a team rota that provide 24 x 7 on-call support (one in every 8 weeks - extra on call allowance for this)


Experience:
Demonstrate a dynamic interest in solving technical issues.
Show capacity to break down problems into constituent parts.
Has the capacity to multitask on several technical issues simultaneously.
Has a very good understanding of customer issues and is able to empathize with customers as to their requirements.
Has many years working on technical environments and is experienced on helpdesk work methodologies. Able to work as part of a team and has the capacity of taking on escalated issues from other team members.

Required Knowledge
Knowledge in Network Security (CCNA or similar qualification preferred)
ITIL Certified or at least familiarity with ITIL best practices
Firewalls Juniper NetScreen, Checkpoint, CiscoASA, Fortinet
IDS/IPS McAfee, TippingPoint, Juniper IDP
SSL VPN - F5Firepass, Juniper SSL VPN
URL Filtering Websense, Bluecoat
Scanners and Sniffers - Can be familiar with the concept
Email Defense (AntiSPAM, Anti-Virus, Content filtering)

The technical Presales Consultant will work with the Sales team in a Technical Pre-sales role to develop and position solutions involving one, or many, of my clients solution range.

Your key area of responsibility will be as a technical Pre Sales Role.

Experience
• Work independently on pre-sales activities which includes: - Understand customer IT/Security infrastructure and business requirement - Strategic Solution selling - Solution Presentation - Participate in conference call discussion - Solution Demonstration and Proof of Concept - Business Solution Proposal
• Confirm bid meets the customers’ requirements and assist sales in technical qualification during the qualifying process
• Conduct routine updates/training sessions on the new products/ technologies and upgrades available to the internal sales staff.
• Conduct competitor’s product analysis; Write technical white papers.

Experience
• 5 years working experience in Pre-Sales role.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the IT Security industry.
• Excellent Technical knowledge in Internet architecture, network infrastructure, UNIX, Windows, VMware, Bigfix, Cisco, Email Messaging Security and Web Security is essential.
• Experience in preparing business solution proposals and presentation of such presentations to senior executives.
• A thorough understanding of software solutions such as Firewall, Content Security, Intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, data protection and monitoring security will be advantageous

• Excellent technical knowledge of Network and Host based security technologies
• Demonstrate a dynamic interest in following a thread of investigation in both a logical and flexible manner
• Show capacity to break down problems into constituent parts, and multitask on several technical issues simultaneously
• Top quality customer advisory skills

Experience

Experience in working on issues in many of the following areas:

• Operational team leadership
• Security Log Analysis
• SIEM & log correlation methods
• Network security appliances – Firewalls, IPS, WAF
• Certifications in any of the above, as well as GCIA, CEH, OSCP or similar would be highly beneficial

Salary circa 50-65k Depending on Experience

Description: IT Security & Compliance Manager based in Cork with top Company.

Reporting to the Chief Information Office (CIO), Europe, the incumbent will be responsible for managing risk associated with legislated and regulatory requirements such as SOX.
The Manager, IT Security & Compliance will be responsible for ensuring that risks are effectively identified and assessed, that appropriate controls are in place, and that controls are operating effectively.
More specific responsibilities include:
• Act as the lead for IT compliance and security working closely with teams from Corporate IT Security and Compliance, Operations, the Chief Risk Officer and Internal Audit;
• Develop, manage and maintain the IT compliance framework and general computer controls related policies, standards and procedures, and enabling compliance with existing and emerging regulatory and industry requirements on a regular and on-going basis;
• Develop and direct IT compliance control and monitor programs to ensure IT compliance-related risks are managed to the appropriate level of acceptable residual risk;
• Implement and maintain an IT compliance issue management tracking and resolution process that addresses known issues, according to severity and potential impact to the organization;
• Coordinate audit-related tasks such as ensuring the readiness of IT managers and their organizations for audit testing, as well as responses to external & internal audit findings and regulatory audits/ inspections related to general computer controls deficiencies and remediation;
• Develop, maintain and manage the delivery of a compliance training and awareness program;

Requirements
Demonstrated experience with common information security management frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL;
Excellent knowledge of legislation and standards including SOX, and ISO17799;
Knowledge and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans;
Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls;

A strong understanding of operating system internals and network protocols;
• Experience in application technology security testing;
• Experience in system technology security testing (vulnerability scanning and penetration testing);
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the corporation;
• Project management skills, including organization, coordination of duties, and/or accomplishment of goals.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in IT, including five (5) years in security and compliance roles and three (3) years in a supervisory capacity;
