Description: My Client, a top Financial Services Company based in Dublin is looking for an IT Auditor.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Establish and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including the senior executives of business units across the delegated area
Attend the entry and exit meetings with team / executive managers to discuss issues raised in the audit clarifying and resolving any issues.
Build trust and credibility with the business by demonstrating a professional approach to auditing and a sound knowledge of governance risk management and control and adding value to management who have considerable experience of their businesses.
Within the context of the audit scope approved by the Group Head of Internal Audit, conduct the effective and efficient execution of the delegated audits that will support the audit opinion and in a manner that is consistent with GIAs standards, methodologies and processes.
Conduct assignments by meeting with the relevant team manager / executive manager and ensure they are kept up to date as the audit progresses.
Prioritising between equally important tasks.
Ensure assignments are delivered in defined time scales.
Prepare and quality assure the audit issues for approval by their direct line, and communicate these to Management, agreeing action plans and tracking such issues for resolution with agreed timelines.
Deliver high quality written reports on relevant governance, risk management and control issues.
The person:
The successful candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
Solid understanding of IT Governance principles, Information Security risks and controls, IT general controls, IT processes and infrastructure
Solid understanding of data analysis tools e.g. ACL, MS Excel, MS Access, etc.
A strong understanding of governance, risk management and control issues related to IT; and have a strong knowledge of industry initiatives and professional best practice.
An appropriate third level qualification in IT coupled with at least 2-3 years IT audit experience.
In addition, a professional qualification such as CISA, CRISC or PIIA / MIIA would be preferable.
Key competencies such as analytical thinking (high intellectual rigour), intellectual curiosity, strong verbal / written communication ability and above average delivery capability
The job holder will need to have a good understanding of risks across the Banking & Life industry.
This is an 11 month Fixed Term Contract.
