Sql Developer – Permanent Role for large corporate client in Dublin City Centre – On the Dart line – Company will provide a competitive Salary and Good benefits package.
Responsibilities:
• Creating database objects utilising T-SQL, such as tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions
• Creating and maintaining ETL processes utilising SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Working with the .Net Development team to assist in building database required functionality
• Work on legacy systems to apply updates as requested

Skills/Experience Required:

Description: Business Systems Administrator required for Top Company based in Dublin 1.

The individual will act as an internal service provider to the business in the further development of innovative work processes, efficiencies and quality of service for our clients.

The overall purpose of the role is to:

• Develop and maintain the workflow management and document automation systems and a number of SharePoint applications
• Provide IT software development support to new projects

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Develop, deliver and manage internal system developments and changes from start to finish
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Work with internal clients to identify and prioritise system related issues within end to end processes
• Liaise with system users to match visual design user requirements
• Act as a first point of contact for questions and queries related to these systems
• Coordinate all queries and work with specialist external IT developers and service providers
• Conduct relevant IT development tests and coordinate user acceptance tests (UAT)
• Further develop and implement SharePoint-based workflows as well as development of Business Intelligence dashboard
• Build proof of concept examples or graphical simulation software. Then maintain product test software and demos for training purposes.
• Create and maintain software documentation

The ideal candidate will have
• Strong organisation and administration skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or related discipline
• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables
• Initiative and a proactive approach, balanced with strong business acumen
• Ability to balance a number of tasks, work to deadlines, and produce quality deliverables
• Be motivated, independent and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision
• Flexibility and adaptability

Preferable experience:
• Ideally 2-3 years’ experience working within an IT environment
• Prior SharePoint experience preferable but not essential
• Strong knowledge of MS Word would be an advantage
• Ability to write Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries, and ability to analyse the SQL data is desired
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server
• Integration Services a plus would be an advantage.

• 3+ years of industry experience with majority in Web Content Management space.

• Strong consultancy background
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate key messages very clearly
• Openness to work with different languages & cultures
• Results orientation, you won’t be satisfied until the job is done with the right quality!

• Technical/IT education, university degree
• Documented training experience is an advantage

Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of the Microsoft .NET technology stack

• Experience of Star Schema design/Data modelling
• Experience converting business requirements into schema to allow business reporting.

The company is seeking to appoint a Data Analyst to support the organisation’s data related activities to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The role will conduct full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities. It will continuously assist the business in monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
In addition to working with business units directly the role will work with the project management office (PMO). The PMO is responsible for managing the digital transformation and business change programme for the company. The Office actively supports and enables the implementation of the company’s strategic change programme which includes complex technical, business systems and change projects and programmes.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to work within a dynamic and rapidly developing area of the company. This role will suit someone with a number of years of experience, who has the ability to work in complex business environments and who easily engages both key stakeholders and customers. The position will appeal to a self-starting, energetic individual who enjoys fresh challenges in an organisation undergoing increased growth and internationalization.
Reporting Relationship
The Data Analyst will report to the ICT Manager and will closely across the business but in particular with the PMO (Project Management Office).

Standard Duties of the Post
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to the business and management
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Support data management requirements for key busy periods including course enrolments, subscription runs and new affiliates
• Develop and audit relevant policies and data management practices that effectively manage the full data life cycle needs of the business

Person Specification
• Relevant third level qualification with proven capability and 3+ years’ experience in a comparable role
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages such as Oracle Discoverer, Jaspersoft, Excel 2013, Microsoft Power BI and databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment are required to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups
• Demonstrated capability and sensitivity to manage key business relationships as the role involves a high degree of interaction and collaboration with key stakeholders
• Self-starter with high motivation and the ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve goals within agreed timeframes
• Proven organisational capability and high levels of personal effectiveness. The person is expected to handle a varied and diverse workload to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail
• Strong intellectual, analytical and thinking skills
