Description: Business Analyst (Financial Services)

Overview:

Excellent client looking for a Business Analyst (Financial Services) with a strong background in working on Compliance and Regulatory type projects.

Duties:
• Business requirements captured and prioritised.
• Business impact assessments carried out to determine how changes from the current to future processes and structures will affect business units and roles.
• Achieve full engagement of the International business throughout the planning, implementation and transition to help the International business understand and prepare for the impacts of the new regulatory environment.
• Co-ordination of business readiness activities within the International Workstream and the Co-ordination of deliveries with the Group Business Readiness and other Group Workstreams.
• Implementation of all local business processes specific to business unit and not executed in the UK with support from the process workpackage.
• With support form the People Function, design, develop and implement people change, in relation to International - including the roles, education and training to support the Organisational Design.
• Support of business test planning (e.g. Dry Run and UAT) and implementation planning of International Solvency 2 deliverables, in co ordination with the Group Business Readiness Workstream.
• Facilitate business reviews, testing and acceptance of revised or new systems, processes, organisational design and outputs before they are implemented to the International business.
• Ensure delivery components are integrated into the International business in a timely, controlled, efficient and sustainable manner.
• Works with the business, and Solvency 2 programme to ensure the business processes/systems/ functionality that are implemented, are fit for purpose.
• Prepare post implementation handover to the business and support training and post implementation activities including assistance with business readiness implementation, where required.
Role holders are expected to:
• Work with stakeholders up to director level.
• Support other analysts and may be required to mentor and coach less experienced analysts.
• Work closely with the International Solvency 2 Project Manager for planning activities, risks & issues and dependencies management.
Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
• Strong time management and planning skills with proven ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
• Flexible and able to travel to International locations. Frequent travel to Europe is a requirement of the role.
• Proven ability to establish strong working relationships up to and including senior management. Role holders must also have a proven ability to work with stakeholders up to director level and will have relevant experience of advising and influencing managers.
• Knowledge in applying proven methodologies, standards and tools involved in business analysis
• Role holders must be able to demonstrate a strong track record in contributing to large scale/complex change projects.
• Have worked successfully alongside other professional business analysts, project managers, and other change management experts on major change projects.
• Experience of working on non IT projects.
• Have had sole responsibility for the delivery of business cases, requirements documents and other typical BA outputs.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Business Analyst role within Financial Services.

Desirable:
• ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent.
• ISEB Test practitioner qualified.
