This role provides the opportunity to specify and configure challenging technical test problems. You will be working in an exciting environment, taking part in feature planning sessions, interacting with requirement, design and development teams. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to gain substantial experience of IP testing in the Cloud, focusing on a variety of hypervisor environments including VMware, KVM, Hyper-V and Xen.
By joining this exciting company, you will be working with some of the latest technologies, helping to shape and transform next generation voice, video and data applications, along with a wide variety of security and networking devices including VPN/Firewall, vSwitch, DPI or IPS/IDS, vLoad Balancer and video infrastructure. Responsibilities will include:
Generate test specifications from engineering requirements
Contribute to the writing of automated script for the test specifications
Execute automated and manual integration, system and performance tests according to the test specifications. Analyse and report on results obtained
Configure test beds in support of new functionality and help improve existing test environments
Liaise with the test team lead to ensure testing is addressed in testing environment
Interact with Engineering and Support teams to create and maintain a quality product
Guide junior team members
Minimum of 3 years test experience
Good understanding of Networks, Telecom Protocols, Linux
Cisco CCNA or other equivalent IP/Ethernet certification is desirable
Ability to configure network and Linux based servers, i.e. routers or VoIP servers
Experience running automation test
Experience in manual and automation testing of JAVA/Rest APIs and HTML Web applications (Selenium) is desirable
Database experience using SQL and/no NoSQL
Scripting skills using JAVA, Python, Jython, is a distinct advantage
Experience with virtualization technologies is a distinct advantage
Full QA Lifecycle, methodical and analytical approach to testing, attention to detail a must
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be self-motivated and a team player

The role requires someone who demonstrates an appropriate level of skill and expertise in test planning, execution, estimation and automation of the QA cycle.
The primary function is the planning of QA phases, and leading of 2 or more QA resources through of QA cycles.
Responsibilities will include interpreting functional specifications, planning test cycles, ensuring cycles are executed to agreed timelines, efficient use of automated testing and that releases are signed off for release.
Responsible for management of all Quality Assurance functions include planning, strategy, testing execution and tools.
Works with the Project Manager and other technical leaders to establish time tables and agree on a Quality Assurance plan
Ensure that QA process is documented and communicated and adequate to ensure agreed quality levels for the application.
Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements, working with the project Business Analyst to ensure all requirements are tested.
Work with Testing Coordinator to ensure testing of functional areas is complete, tracked and on-schedule.
Coordinates performance testing and ensures that performance standards are communicated and documented.
Oversees determination of need, selection and implementation, and maintenance of QA tools.
Minimum 6 years QA and software testing experience
Experience of performing a QA lead function for a product organisation
Testing of systems developed in.NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server and Oracle is essential
Experience with automated tools, performance profiling and stress testing tools essential
Experience with bug and issue management tools
Experience managing QA resources
Financial services business processes an advantage
