Description: My Dublin city centre based client is looking for a Data Analytic Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading financial services client.

Responsibilities

• Develop new tools and capabilities, and deliver data analytics audit engagements to clients
• Roll out of Global Data Analytic tools and applications to the audit practice
• Train staff level team members in data analysis techniques and tools

• Work with clients and professionals to identify data needs, sources, and structure to support client issues problem solving
• Translate business requirements and unstructured business issues into data analytic problems
• Implement data analytics audit programs, working papers, and draft audit analytics reports for clients
• Develop and execute complex data analysis routines, visualise the results of analytics, and interpret the results of data analytics
• Manage a portfolio of clients for the completion of Data Analytic procedures and present the results to Financial Audit Team and senior management within our clients

Knowledge

• Minimum of 4 to 5+ years of experience with an internal audit or a large multinational organisation with experience in data analysis, conversion, mining, or migration
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related qualification including ACA and ACCA
• Strong team leading, interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent drive, commitment and enthusiasm
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and skill sets
• Experience with data analysis or database packages such as SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access, or IDEA
• Programming experience is highly desirable (e.g. SQL, C++, JAVA, VBA, etc.)
• Experience with a variety of business processes and related datasets and with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Strong analytical, research, statistical sampling, and quantitative abilities

Description: My Dublin based financial client currently requires an Analytics Analyst to join their team and be responsible for developing deal specific models, reports and user tools. Troubleshoot, resolve issues and run and/or maintain deal models on active standard or routine deals.

Background On Role
The Analytics Analyst Analytics Analyst must have the following: 1) ability to comprehend, interpret and analyse legal documents on moderately complex financial structures 2) knowledge and experience in Structured Credit or Fixed Income products 3) knowledge of PC desktop tools such as MS Access and Excel and 4) ability to communicate effectively with others. The knowledge of SQL or an advanced reporting or modelling platform is also preferred. There is a high degree of interaction with internal partners including staff members, business partners, clients and other third parties. Occasionally may have external client interfacing.

Requirements:
• Develop deal specific models, reports and user tools according to legal documents and clients specfications using in house systems and other supported applications for standard and routine deals. Analyze moderately complex finance structures and legal documentation, including amendments.
• Liaise directly with internal client services, business partners, clients and other third parties to resolve deal specific issues related to the deal model or the on boarding of the deal. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues on active deal models.
• Runs or maintains deal models using proprietary systems on an on-going basis. for rountine standard deals. This includes one or both of the following functions for active deals: 1) the generation of reports including uploading/inputting of data, analytical review for validation and/or reconcilement, and investigation and resolution of discrepancies, while meeting required timelines and quality standards. 2) investigation and resolution of cases raised while meeting required turnaround times and quality standards for client service/admin teams. Reviews, updates, modifies, and tests any required changes to the complex financial models. Work closely with Client Services to interpret and identify needed changes according to document guidelines, calculations and responsibilities that are clear and within system capabilities.
• Perform quality control according to the internal procedures. Manages risk. Ensures satisfactory audits working with Team Leader to assist with the audit examination and the audit response process.
• May train and coach other team members on systems, modelling and user tools.
Preferred:
• 3 to 5 years experience in Structured Credit or Fixed Income products is preferred. Experience direct deal modeling.
• Strong Knowledge of SQL or an advanced reporting or modeling platform, technical platforms and systems.
• Strong Knowledge of PC desktop tools such as MS Access and Excel.
• Exceptional analytical, communcation, organizational and time-management skills.
• Exposure and ability to interpret legal documentation is preferred.
