Our client is looking for a Business Financial Model Analyst who has a stromng background in Business Modelling.
They are keen to hear from candidates who possess the following:
An excellent knowledge of Excel, and other tools, including MS Access and VBA
A broad range of general knowledge on wider commercial, business and economic issues
Good general financial knowledge
Experience of client-facing roles with a high quality of delivery to tight timescales
Good problem solving skills
Good communication skills (written and oral)
The successful candidate will be a college graduate with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience and hold a combination of accountancy, audit, business qualifications, skills and experience. A proactive, positive, can-do attitude and the ability to think laterally are essential.

Description: My client is currently looking for a Data Analyst to join the existing team and help with their current project. The successful candidate must have developed strong database skills.

About the Job:

This challenging but rewarding position encompasses a variety of duties including:

• Pre-processing and reviewing (in Microsoft Access) the supplied data
and documenting identified issues;
• Providing assistance and advice to the clients involved in the Study in relation to the preparation of their financial and patient level data, both on-site and remotely;
• Reviewing and analysing the integrity of the results and providing feedback.
• Maintaining and developing output reports using Microsoft Access (or SQL) to enable my client to review and analyse their results.
• Processing and reconciling the finalised data in PowerPerformance Management (PPM);
• Helping to formulate policies and procedures in relation to the conduction of the 2013 Study
• Actively participating in Team meetings to review the progress of the Study.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have developed skills in the use of Microsoft Access or SQL and Microsoft Excel;
• Have a good understanding of management accounting concepts, particularly costing principles;
• Have completed, or be completing, qualifications in Business or IT with a strong academic record;
• Be self-directed and be able to learn new skills and ideas quickly;
• Be an effective communicator, team player and be responsive to client needs; and
• Have exceptional time management and organisational skills.

The purpose of this role is to understand the customer better by analysing trends and identifying sales opportunities through the loyalty customer database.



Responsibilities:

Feed into the CRM strategy as a key part of the overall business and Marketing strategy

Develop a greater understanding of the loyalty customer database through in depth analysis of behaviour and segmentation of customers

Develop, implement and evaluate promotional campaigns

Develop new ways to engage loyalty customers and affect behaviour to meet objectives

Run and support promotional campaigns in partnership with suppliers and trading

Inform the business on customer insights and trends

Issue weekly reports on loyalty KPI’s

Deliver Insights and recommendations to drive the business forward

Present on Wrap-up reports

Work with the Commercial finance team on adhoc queries.



Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills coupled with commercial business awareness (would suit a person with a background in economics, finance, mathematics or statistics

Fluent in Excel spreadsheet analysis, including macros, VBA and statistical modelling

Advanced SQL skills (creating, maintaining SQL tables and views; MSSQL).

Knowledge of Statistical systems (such as R, S-Plus, SAS, SPSS).

Strong minded individual, comfortable dealing with senior management

Have proven record of working on own initiative

Able to work under extreme time pressure

Strong Communication & Presentation skills Retail, CRM or FMCG background would be a distinct advantage



Salary for this role will be €50-€55k

Data Analyst with good SQL, VBA, Access and Excel skills required for Top Banking Client based in Dublin.

Reporting to the MI Manager – this role is responsible for Management Information, Systems and Project Development in the area.

Responsibilities of Data Analyst:
Reporting and Analytics
• Deliver reports and analysis to support the Head of Management function and other supervisors and managers in the department.
• Proactively analyse data to provide insightful, clear analysis for use in the business
• Develop new reports as required from relevant systems
• Identify opportunities for new reports
• Work with key internal/external customers to identify reporting requirements
• Keep documentation of current reports/processes updated
Document any new reports/processes
• Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of all reports

Skills Required:
• Experience of working in a reporting environment, developing/designing reports and analysing complex data
• An understanding of the end-to-end processes in Collections and the Arrears Support Unit
• Strong compliance focus, together with an understanding of the relevant codes, (e.g. CCMA. CPC, etc.)
• Have proven skills in analysing and manipulating data.
• Educated to Degree level in Information Technology or related discipline is an advantage
• Highly proficient with MS Office applications, primarily MS Access and MS Excel
• Development Skills in SQL & VBA would be an advantage.
