Description: My client is a secure long established client based on Dublin Southside, off the N11. They are looking for a Senior C++ Analyst Programmer with the following background:
Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial software applications written in C++ . Candidates should enjoy working in a challenging team environment; have the enthusiasm and ambition to complete projects to the highest standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with a Project Manager on all aspects of the software development life-cycle including; functional and technical spec. development, software design & implementation, and application testing
• Work with a creative team to build solutions in support of business objectives
• Write software to implement business functional requirements and conduct unit tests
• Assist the testing group in developing integration and functional tests
• Modify code for product improvements and bug fixes
• Develop quality software that is easy to support and maintain
Position Requirements
• 5+ years of software development experience in C++ in a Windows environment.
• Experience working on Microsoft Visual Studio (2003/2005/2008/2010)
• Experience working with ADO.net, ado, odbc
• Experience working with com, dcom, activex
• Knowledge of the following will be beneficial xml, xsl and webservices
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Ideally have experience of the financial services sector
• A third level degree in a software development related discipline
• Good written and oral communication skills
This role will also allow a C++ developer to move and work with other technologies as well.

For the Junior role I am ideally looking for someone with circa 1-3 years commercial experience - salary coming in at circa 30k

For the Senior role I can pay circa 50-55k and I am looking for someone with circa 5 years C++ experience.
