The successful candidate will undertake the following:
Administration of Linux servers, virtual machines, provisioning systems;
Provide server management and network support for internal and external customers;
Proactively ensure networks, server and environmental infrastructure are available and secure;
RADIUS & LDAP administration and configuration;
Administration of DNS, SQL databases and web-hosting systems;
Troubleshoot and evaluate provider connectivity issues.
Minimum of three (3) years industry experience, at least two (2) of which working in a similar role;
Experience in supporting Internet, E-mail and Web technologies;
Proven expertise implementing Internet services.
Experience working with an ISP, providing network and server management support for internal and external customers.
Skills & Aptitudes:
Excellent knowledge of Operating System software and its administration;
Thorough knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking;
Ability to logically troubleshoot and evaluate server and network connectivity issues.
Excellent knowledge and experience of UNIX/Linux OS (preferably Ubuntu);
High Proficiency in scripting (e.g. Shell, Perl, PHP, Python, etc.);
Good understanding of Internet protocols and infrastructure (Apache, DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP etc.);

Good knowledge of network equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot network problems;
Knowledge of routing and switching technologies (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VRRP).

Management of daily operations including the monitoring of infrastructure team performance against key KPIs and SLAs.
Coordinate and support the development, implementation and maintenance of information security policies, standards, and guidelines
Respond to information security incidents, determining corrective action to be taken and designing and implementing preventative measures.
Negotiate key service level agreements with third party suppliers and external service providers.
Manage operational and capital IT Infrastructure budget.
Work with ISO team to develop and test full disaster recovery plans for critical systems and applications
Third level qualification in IT or an IT-related discipline
A minimum of 5 years management experience in a IT Infrastructure-related area
An excellent communicator who has the ability to communicate Infrastructure concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Proven track record in driving sustainable improvements or transformation
Structured and logical thinker & organiser
Self-motivating with strong drive
A clear understanding of IT and concepts
Experience of building, implementing and supporting complex Infrastructure enterprises

Key Duties / Responsibilities
The ISM Project Manager will be expected to:
Build and maintain strong effective relationships with the Regional ISM team, the Technical Services team and other relevant GIT groups
Provide the coordination, planning and execution for subsidiary infrastructure projects, working in partnership with the on-site ISM teams and the Technical Services team
Ensure alignment with GIT standards, policies and procedures
Coordinate and manage system performance and reliability issues
Manage and track project costs
Keep all relevant stakeholders (business and GIT) fully informed on plans, progress, issues and risks
Ensure compliance with maintenance policies and security requirements
Coordinate IT equipment procurement. Manage relationships with external vendors where appropriate.
Perform regular Site Technical Reviews in order to assess the global standards compliance
Business & Technical Experience:

The ongoing maintenance of all elements of local and wide area network hardware and software as part of the EMEA LAN/WAN Infrastructure Team. This includes responsibility for liaising with outsourced service providers for the provision of any service pertaining to local or wide area networks.
Duties and responsibilities:
Monitor the ongoing performance and reliability of all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure for EMEA offices in order to maximise performance and reliability, to minimise business disruption through unscheduled downtime.
Ensure that all server-based data is backed up on a daily basis and that the data on all servers is appropriately protected via anti-virus software, including up-to-date virus definitions files
Provide LAN/WAN troubleshooting and fault resolution services across all EMEA offices in order to minimise business disruption through downtime of LAN/WAN services.
Carry out all active directory administration tasks required to ensure the security and availability of networks.
Provide 3rd line support to the EMEA regions including support/administration of VOIP & Video infrastructure.
The role is technical, however the LAN/WAN infrastructure team will have an influence on many levels as they will be looked upon as subject experts who can provide advice, recommendations and, where necessary, have the authority to insist upon certain technical solutions. In so doing, they will have an influence on the following roles:

Infrastructure Platform policies and standards
Process(es) by which the strategy, roadmap, policies and standards are created and updated
Ad-hoc infrastructure designs and consultancy to support platform projects

Virtualisation technologies from VMware and other leading vendors
