My Client is recruiting a hands-on IT Infrastructure Manager to manage the IT systems for a corporate firm. The role will have one direct report and the job spec is below. The salary scale for the role is 75-80k per annum.
Developing and governing IT Infrastructure
Building relationships with key internal & external suppliers
Influencing and providing consultancy to maintain service delivery and uptime
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
In-depth technical knowledge of range of IT technologies across Infrastructure, Security & Network, Database & Application
Industry best practise with respect to infrastructural designs in line with standards, frameworks and security principles
Problem determination & troubleshooting
Managing all aspects of Service Delivery ensuring adherence to critical SLAs
Assess current and future demand from projects and existing services
Support evaluations & business projects from an infrastructural and security point
Act as security support for related processes & services
Experience of working with ITIL best practices
A good understanding of technical security (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, PKI)
Excellent documentation skills. Maintain documentation repository in line with ISO 27001 framework
Interact with strategic vendor(s) for future technology roadmaps
Aptitude for solving problems and acting on own initiative
Strong analytical skills, logical and structured in approach
Holistic infrastructure architecture capable of providing an integrated vision of all infrastructure technologies
Expertise in business and IT architecture, including familiarity with leading architectural standards such as ISO 27001, ITIL and/or PCI-DSS
Expertise in creating and deploying best practices and methodologies
Proven expertise with IT infrastructure, IT Security principles & Practices, Database and Application Security know how.
Mature and proven experience in Service Delivery and Vendor Management
Proven experience with technologies such as Windows Server, UNIX, VPN, SFTP, Technology Resilience Services, etc.
Executive stakeholders skills with proven capability of building and managing relationships
Experience in major information management programs in key business areas in the financial sector
Strong verbal written communication skills as well as presentation skills
Advanced to senior experience on several technologies such as Windows Server, UNIX, VPN, , Technology Resilience Services, etc.

o Network troubleshooting & diagnosis of our Lan and Wan network infrastructure.
o Installation & configuration of hardware, operating systems and other software products.
o Installation & configuration of supported applications.
o Supports, monitors, tests and troubleshoots IT hardware, software and network problems.
o Security of the Network (Symantec).
Minimum skills required:
o Exceptional understanding of MPLS network and seamless failover techniques.

Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven Data Centre and Infrastructure experience;
3+ years Project Management experience;
Experience in commercial data center, co-location environments, and/or optical transport/network environments are a plus;
Excellent organizational skills and project tracking abilities; experience of procurement and logistics, strong focus and attention to detail; the ability to work in a very fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment, yet able to maintain high quality standards; project/task prioritization and schedule development.
This will be a 6 month contract but for the right person could move in to a permanent opportunity.
