Description: My Dublin based client currently requires an experienced Hands-on Software Development Manager to be responsible for project delivery.
Responsibilities:

• Hands-on, technical development management role, responsible for E2E project delivery.
• Responsible for formulating, reviewing and approving development plans and requirements.
• Responsible for reviewing and approving designs/code to ensure quality of delivery.
• Create and define resource plans for development tasks.
• Manage multiple offshore vendors and technology delivery teams.
• Interact with the Testers, development team and other stakeholders
• Provide coordination for all special (post-production validation, etc.) testing activities.
• Devise effective mitigation and escalation strategies to address program risks and issues
• Drive program through project governance methodology and ensure compliance to tollgates
• Lead regular project and program reviews with key stakeholders
• Accurate and timely reporting of the project portfolio against plan
• Create and contribute to key program artefacts: project plans, budgets, stakeholder communications, resources and time management.
• Ensure adherence to Project Management standards
• Use standard project management tools and techniques effectively
• Provide sign-off for all deployments into the test environments.
• Ensure code coverage and traceability to requirements and defects and define/arrange for requisite training for developers.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in Computer Science or related
• 10-12 years’ experience in relevant area
• Proficiency with developing mission critical global applications using distributed technologies such as Java, J2EE, UI technologies, Spring framework, Hibernate, Oracle database, Web sphere and Unix.
• Experience with managing quality programs on large scale application testing.
• Provide global guidance to off-shore development teams.
• Ability to support UAT and/or client test teams.
• Banking or financial knowledge
• Experience with Java development
• Architecture/design experience.
• Knowledge/experience with high volume/throughput systems
• Works well and respects other disciplines of the project teams.
• Strong negotiation and influence skills.
• Ability to manage risk appropriately.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize individual and team tasks and projects so that deadlines are met.

Description: EAI Analyst required for top Company based in Cork.

Role Purpose:

The delivery of robust Integration solutions across the business that enables the movement of information throughout the Group.

The key areas of responsibility are:

• Responsible for definition of the complete integration solution across Group (e.g. A2A, B2B, ETL).
• Define principles, standards and methodologies for all integration deliverables.
• Ensure best practice approach and adherence to the integration principles and standards.
• Mange the full project life cycle for the delivery of technology solutions (scope, design, specify, develop, test).
• Identify business issues and propose solutions, including viable alternatives, taking note of the constraints of the business/project, including the plan, the budget and the team.
• Work with Leadership (ITLT, SSLT) across all projects, to provide recommendations and solutions to critical issues.
• Manage the plan, budget and resources for each project and deliverable.

Knowledge & Experience:

• 10 years+ IT projects implementation, 5 years+ of which in a leadership role
• Application implementation experience
• 7 years+ working with at least one Enterprise scale integration technology (e.g. IBM Websphere,)
• Data modelling and tuning experience
• Integration methodologies (A2A, B2B)
• Master Data Management
• Full development life cycle experience
• Large scale project/program implementation experience
• Service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Cloud based offerings (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• ERP platforms

Desirable Skills:
Java & J2EE experience
Oracle Pro*C
Performance engineering, design and build for scale
Strong awareness of integration standards (ebXML, RosettaNet, AS2, SMIME, XML Encryption, SOAP etc.)
